Horrible. Blocks my posts for no reason or explanation. Waste of time and money. Move on!

At one point craigs list was a great place to advertise and find things. Now people have cluttered up the various venues with ads that are not listed in the right section. I.e. industrial refridgerators and motorcycles under camping gear. These ads do nothing but clutter up the space where true things belong. Soon no one will waste their time with craigslist.

Id give no star if i could.I never use craigslist and i figured out why the last 4 days.I get plenty of fake cashiers check scams and no real buyers.This app is straight up junk and i see why people dont like it anymore.Every single scam message says the exact same thing every time.The person wants it or has to have it.But every person is either too busy working or with their daughter’s wedding and too busy but ask for address so they can send fake check for 100 dollars over asking price and for me to take the item down and consider it sold.What a bunch of hot steaming dog shit this app is.I will never ever use it again.I deleted every item and still getting scam fake cashiers check messages

HORRIBLE! It is like a pron store anymore. Alot of improper posts and many scammers.

Craigslist is simply horrible. I've placed several paid ads that were ghosted (not flagged) by their software for no apparent reason. They were ads in several cities for legitimate financial services, for which I'm an affiliate. I paid my money, my ads were posted, then we're gone the next day. No explanation was given, and when you contact Support to inquire why your ads were ghosted for no reason, there's never a response.

Basically, Craigslist is is a pit into which money disappears. I would strongly, strongly, strongly advise against running legit paid ads on Craigslist because you will pay your money, your ads will vanish the next day and you will be given absolutely no explanation why.

Totally frustrated with craigslist. It's becoming a total joke. Can't post without it getting flagged over and over again. Totally bs! Won't be using them anymore.

Definitely definitely definitely 100% useless site filled with scammers. There is not one thing on this site that is legit where there is not somebody trying to rip you off. also, I can post stuff on Facebook marketplace and it will sell instantly on this site. All you get is a bunch of scammers and retards then I have nothing better to do than just waste your time.Don’t waste your time advertising anything or trying to get any positive feedback from anything. This site deserves -10 stars. Can’t post an ad to rehome a dog, it’s constantly flagged and removed, but you can advertise sex. I mean really. Scammers galore. It seems like every ad is a scam, it’s as if the whole site was set up for scammers.

I'm trying to re-home a dog. She needs a big fenced yard to run and I can't give that to her. I posted in community->pets and the post got removed twice. I went to the forums looking for answers because apparently there is no staff support on free ads except in rare cases. So in the forums all I found (except 2 individuals) was an endless amount of trolls. I NEVER thought I'd find a cesspool of trolls worse than Reddit I stand corrected. HelpfullHedda and postingid11 were the only ones I saw making an effort to suggest what was wrong with my post. The rest of my thread turned into name calling and bickering about adoption fee/rehoming fee with some saying I didn't deserve what I was asking because the spay was through the shelter vs out of pocket. The bickering reminds me of a bunch of bratty bullies. And there's this downvoting system that's ridiculous because even if a comment is good the rivals downvote anyway just out of spite. It's a trainwreck of a forum as there appear to be NO moderators at all. I have HelpfulHedda willing to help me with a modified post but honestly there are enough trolls that could all team up and repeatedly get posts removed. I see posts all the time asking for rehoming fee and they don't get removed.

I get that they are restricting pet sales but at the same time the TOS allows for talk of a rehoming fee but our ad gets removed because of the mention of a rehoming fee. So which is it??? And being picky about how the spay was done. Either way I paid for the spay whether through the shelter or through the low cost spay clinic. The money still came from me. The low cost spay clinic billed the shelter as they had my money. It's all so ridiculously stupid.

I deleted my auto forsake positing. 10 days later, it AUTO CHARGED ME and posted the car again.

Craigslist makes it difficult to stop. I now have deleted my card on file to ensure they can not charge it again.

DISHONEST. UNETHICAL.

Yet again I posted something and it was flagged within 2 hours and removed.
No idea what is going on there but enough is enough!
I deleted my account there as it is 100% wasted time.

Never again!

My advice: LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

Used Craigslist for the first time ever, the only messages I received were from scam artists with this same exact message stating:

I appreciate you responding to me. I've been putting in a lot of overtime at work. Since I'm unable to meet in person, but I'm fine with the price and condition as stated in the advertisement, I'll go ahead and write you a check. Once the money has cleared, we'll arrange for pickup. Please respond to me as soon as possible with the information provided.

Like we are all dumb enough to fall for this B.S. Everyone who knows about scams knows better than to fall for this. Some offered a cashier's check, but I'm smart enough to know that the $16,000 worth of items that I am selling, nobody in their right mind would ever buy without seeing it in person first. These idiot scam artists hear a mouth full of vulgar words from me. I can not stand a thief and will not hold back on letting them know they are bums and the scum of the earth. I've had over 20 of these messages and it is like they copy and paste it. It is the only offers I have had from Craigslist. It is just ridiculous. You would think that Craigslist could do better when it comes to who is allowed on their website. So I went to more websites and have put my ads out there.

Having used Craigslist over 5 years I've seen it all. I have never rented where someone didn't try to leave something on. Stove ,oven, bathroom light something. I don't understand that. Indianapolis indiana scammed me for $625.00 dollars. I thought after renting from 3 women over 5 years I was good. Dude took that money and ran then the girl in the back said he don't own the home but was there when he showed me around. Bed bugs is the reason I moved from some houses and the one that didn't have any, deputies searched my room but not the whole house. Very odd since I was 1 in 5 that worked. If you need details just contact me. Hope to rent again once working. But have to sign lease up front. I.d. was stolen I'm guessing from mailbox in Charlotte NC. Had only showed the Craigslist contact that it was coming in the mail. I had to ask for lease to go get it then she sent her nephew with my lease. All under Craigslist. I gave 3 stars cause I made the best out of bad situations.

Craigslist blocks post of my train and had no customer service! Corrupt

I rarely sell anything. Cleaning out my house. Over a period of two weeks i posted about 10 ads. 50% were falgged and removed, I read the rules...Zero Clarity.

What a waste of time, this site is not legit, avoid at all costs. The AI or code used to screen ads has nothing to do with logic. Its designed to kick you off the platform for any reason. You cant dispute anything or ask questions.

Worthless. These companies are run by Low IQ worthless individuals.

i have been posting for years in cl searching for a roomate. last time iposted was feb 2024 and got a great roommate .
i tried to post 2 weeks ago same ad like in the past , it was removed 3 times a second after posting with no apparent reason though i follow all tos .
looks like they have a crazy algorithm that removes legitimate ads nilly willy regardless what you say.
i gave up and posted in spare room and found someone in 4 days .
looks like cl has become a fristrating waste of time , avoid !!!!!!

People will flag your post for 0 reason and I dont think its fair your post gets taken down right away.

Craigslist never responds to inquires.

If you need to post anything for any reason, don't bother. Without any rhyme or reason they will ban the most trivial things. No one to reach out to for answers. Posted an ad looking for an artist to help on a project locally, and the posting was removed before it even went live. Posted in the exact zip code that I reside in, verified by email and phone, and had my posting banished for no reason as I wasn't violating any of the TOS. Seeing all the other one star reviews, I see that I'm not alone.

I have had good experiences with Craigslist but learned the hard way that they enable con artists to post ads. I hired a contractor and he ripped me off and I was injured due to his negligence. I have asked Craigslist to investigate and prevent this person from placing ads and I am ignored. Craigslist condones and enables criminal activity and consumers are at risk for injury. There are no safeguards for consumers and bad actors are allowed to use the platform to scam people. Update: the contractor is using a fake license number. Craigslist has been notified but no doubt will continue to let him defraud consumers. I have reported him and look forward to suing him and pressing charges to the fullest extent possible. Craigslist is 100% complicit!
