Ordered the Newbury swing set. Was installed 4/1/25. By September boards were warping and splintering. Contacted customer service, sent proof. They supposedly ordered replacement parts. Were supposed to call to schedule the fix. Have called multiple times and have even gone to showroom a couple of times and still no word. Can't reach anybody. Not happy, was expensive but figured you pay for quality. I was wrong.

I worked with David Hoffman from Creative Playthings, and I could not be happier with our experience. David worked with me to identify an optimal play set that fit our space and the needs of our children (5 and 2). He was communicative, responding to my texts and calls immediately, and he was understanding when I needed to change our plans multiple times. David also helped me coordinate with an experienced assembler, who provided prompt and expert work to get our play set assembled on our property. Importantly, we are located in Eastern Long Island, so all the details for shipping and assembly needed to be ironed out in advance. David was incredibly thoughtful in the way he helped me plan, and he provided support through each step, including sending exact dimensions of the footprint to our landscaper, who had to clear the area of brush. Finally, the product itself is immaculate. Sturdy, perfectly measured, and attractive. 10/10 rating from our family!

What a great company to work with. They have the best customer service and sales dept. They are a small business (family owned) and they gave me so much attention. Extremely responsive with their email replies. When i call them I speak to someone right away. They really gave me all the details and attention needed to make a purchase for my backyard playset. The products are great too. Build to last, the highest level of quality you can find in a playset. I was very much impressed with the entire process. They also install, so everything i needed, they supplied. It was such a great process. I also purchased the play-area too, and they installed the play-area and the playset all in one day and it came out great!

I have great service and nothing bad to say. Delivered in good time and my orders were what I wanted!

Would have been 5 starts as the quality of the climbing frame is very good and general service is good. However I had a very basic installation question and the customer service agent could not get an answer to it. Very unhelpful.

We are so happy with our swing set! It was installed quickly and we are very impressed the the quality. Great customer service!

We purchased our Playset through Jay Baietto on 11/20/21 for my sons Xmas present. We got the Lexington package and added the "single axis tire swing" for an additional $129.

Installation was scheduled for 12/22/21 however shipment came in segments a week or so earlier and the deliverers left the huge pieces and boxes at the end of my driveway in the street! Not their fault but embarrassing and inconvenient.

The crew who came on the 22nd were very friendly and worked very hard putting the set together. They did an awesome job!! The set came out great and the kids love it!

I did however notice that the tire swing wasn't there so I sent an email to creativeplaythingsorlando @ gmail on 12/22 with no response. I sent another email on 12/30 explaining my concern for no reply. Jay eventually got in touch with my fiancé a few days later apologizing and that one will be shipped.

We received the tire swing in a box (at the door :) ) on 1/15/22. I never opened the box as I'm not the one who will be installing it.

Jay texted my fiancé on 1/17/22 that he had someone in the area to come install it and a lovely gentleman came by and put it up for me. The weather has been a little chilly so I haven't been outside until today, 1/19/22 and to my surprise this expensive $129 "tire" swing is PLASTIC!!! I checked their catalog and my invoice and nowhere in the description does it say it's plastic. When Jay was at my house selling me his pitch I expressed how much I love tire swings and was excited for it to use together with my son and he never disclosed that it was plastic! Had I known it was plastic and not an actual tire I would have never spent so much to add it to the Playset! To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

I did send another email today to explain my frustration of no response to emails (as their warranty and me hoping for great, PROMPT customer service and the fact it's USA made was why we chose this much more expensive brand than their competitors) along my disappointment in the plastic tire, I advised I will be making a review to let future consumers know of this before spending $129 for this "tire". Never in my 39 years have I seen a plastic tire swing so I'm wicked bummed out and I don't want anyone else to have expectations of it not being rubber!
The mulch is however made from plastic tires, if only their tire swing was! Lol
Ok, end rant! My son and nephews still love it so hopefully we get good use out of it and hopefully they start to read and respond to emails in case we need them in the future

I am a semi-retired Grandfather that built a new home in South Florida so my six (then) eight (today) beautiful Grandbabies could visit and enjoy family time. Our Grand plans for the summer of 2020 were obviously shattered by Covid and Facetiming became our method of sharing. I needed to do something for my daughter and son-in-law in Bethesda so my two beautiful Granddaughters could get outside without the fear of exposure. I mentioned a swing or playset for the yard and just their facial expressions told me I had work to do. I knew a lot of people in the Northeast from a 38 year career but came across Creative Playthings with somewhat of a personalized greeting from Martin, their sales associate for Midlantic. I sent the inquiry not expecting much and sure enough Martin was calling almost immediately to see what he can do to make this Grandfather happy. Well, that day not only did we start planning the surprise but I made a friend. The leadership of Creative Playthings is lucky to have this gentlemen representing their products. He is honest and passionate about what he sells, he knows everything about this catagory, what will work and what wont, he started as an installer and you will not meet another Martin. I prepared him for the narrative he would encounter at the site inspection, my daughter and son-in-law are very corporate and never ask for anything, I told Martin just smile, agree and when they ask about cost, just lie!! Well, we planned it and this man went to work sourcing everything I wanted and some how fit me into a schedule already full. Getting close to install day and Maryland gets hit with the world population of "CICADAS", my daughter start to freak out thinking this opportunity is lost and when would they be able to reschedule, once again, Martin to the rescue and handled it directly. His installers with millions of unwanted guests made 2 children the happiest kids in Bethesda!

So it gets even better! Now my son in NJ see's the playset and of course I am on the phone to Martin again. My question was, how quickly can we build something in New Jersey and not to bore you with all the details sure enough there is a Creative Playthings set there as well. Martin knows the next call is my other son in South Florida but we have a little time.

Yes the equipment is wonderful, built well and professionally installed. Also a shout out to Martins associates in the Northeast that assisted in this NJ build. I can tell you that these kids spend endless hours on this equipment and it does give the parents a well deserved break, we are in difficult times.

No I am not related to Martin and your focus is on your purchase which I highly reccomend. But I will say this to potential buyers and Leadership at Creative, every company needs a Martin Barrera. I myself sit in front of a device and order anything and everything you could imagine, we have all become Amazon junkies in a way. This was one of the best experiences I have had and it made me smile as much as my grandkids. How refreshing to spend an hour or so chatting with someone that came to this Country to betterr his life and that of his family. This gentlemen has more respect for the USA because he has seen the alternative. I am the furthest thing from political but Martin Barrera can sit at my table anytime he wants and break bread with my family. Thank You Creative, you are an excellent company and Martin THANK YOU for your help in bringing smiles to their faces.

I worked with Ashley Lamont in Customer Service to order a series of parts for our older Playtimes Gym Set. She was truly excellent to work with. She identified the parts we needed, offered other parts, researched the paint used on the set and recently informed us of delivery (with tracking number). She was very helpful from start to finish.

I ordered a bit late for Christmas but the order was filled quickly- good service

Everyone was great! Martin in Sales made sure I ordered the correct thing for my family and got me the best deal. The delivery person went out of his way and brought an extra item over on his personal time. The installer Miguel Parada was outstanding! We are so pleased!

Update on 12/16/20: After I posted my updated review complaining that CP did not respond, a rep immediately reached out to me, apologized for my experience and dissatisfaction with their product, and issued a full refund to me. It took a little effort but I am satisfied that CP handled the situation appropriately.

Update on 12/4/20: Creative Playthings posted a reply requesting that I reach out to a rep to resolve the issue. I sent an email to the rep the same day. It is now 2 weeks later and I still have not received a reply. It sure seems that CP wants the buying public to think they care about taking care of customers but their actions prove otherwise.

I purchased 3 wear pads to go on the ground under my swingset. The edges of all 3 curled up within 6 months. I contacted CP and they were apologetic and said that should not happen. They sent me 3 new ones at no charge. The same thing happened to the 3 new wear pads. I again contacted CP and was told this should not happen. The customer service rep, Allison Smith, was nice and said she would help me to get those replaced. She asked for a proof of purchase to initiate the claim. I sent her proof of purchase from my original purchase. She responded that my proof of purchase only showed the purchase of 1wear pad. I explained that I purchased 3 were pads and CP had already sent me 3 new ones so she should have that information on file. She did not respond so I tried unsuccessfully to contact her several more times but she has never responded. I am a small business owner and understand it is difficult to please all customers; however, ignoring a disappointed customer is not the right way to handle a situation like this. I would recommend doing business with someone else who makes a good product, will stand by their product and will do whatever reasonable to make it right with each and every customer.

We ordered and received the Raleigh playset. It was supposed to include a trapeze bar set to go along with the 2 swings but it was not in the box. I have tried multiple times to get it resolved through emails and phone calls - each call goes to voice mail and emails go unanswered. The equipment is fine - the customer service is not, even taking into account reasonable delays due to the pandemic. It has been months without a satisfactory response.

Update - Thank you for the response and for sending the missing parts. It was certainly better late than never!

Terrible almost nonexistent customer service. After multiple calls and email over two months time I was only able to get a one sentence answer regarding the condition of our play set. We were so excited to have a play set for our daughter in our new home only to find that it was “no longer safe to use” after 6 years. Although I don’t agree with the restriction on transferring the warranty I can accept it. What I cant accept is lack of respect for customers time and the refusal to stand behind a product. I wont but another product from Creative Playthings again.

We have our swing set for approximately 22 years; we even moved with it - it sure is holding up. Not only have our children and grandchildren been enjoying it, we have it open for neighbors to use as well. In short - it's gotten far more than the average wear and tear. What prompted me to write a review today? Some rungs of our rope ladder have finally begun to break. Who can complain after 20 years! Yes, I did maintain it from time to time by tightening hardware and repainting. It was well worth it!

Ida at Creative Playthings Reading, MA was great to work with in helping us configure a playset that worked for our individual needs and would fit within our yard's size constraints. The installers were very friendly, fast and efficient at building it. The kids love it, and we'll look forward to years of use!

Great experience purchasing our swingset. Chose to assemble ourselves with the instructions provided. While it may have taken longer than a professional installation would have, it was a great family activity during quarantine. I appreciated the customer service as well as the quality of craftsmanship. Thank you for a wonderful addition to our yard that will be enjoyed for years to come!

Bought a play set for my grandchildren just before COVID lock down started. My grandchildren LOVE it, and it's been a great way for them to play outdoors during lock down. The three year old climbs the climbing wall and the ladder, the one year old is comfortable and happy in the bucket swing and on the slide. To our surprise, they both love the glider and swing on it together.

Was quickly set up in just a few hours. High quality materials, very sturdy. My son loves swinging on the swing, and I'm sure he will love the rest of it as soon as he is big enough to use it! Thanks guys!
