What an absolute disappointment. We traveled over an hour to Plymouth to spend 30 minutes doing laps around the same stalls selling the exact same tat on Temu but for 4x the price. Everyone was crammed into 3/4 of a hall while the other quarter was being used for a game of badminton.
There were not vehicles or picture opportunities that were advertised. No hot food vendors, unless you like pre-made doughnuts, or fudge.
We have been to a creed comic con at the royal cornwall show grounds before that was good and had a bit of everything.

Attended Sunderland event and was immediately informed “no professional photographer would attend”.

Leading me to wonder how they can sell tickets for photo opportunities online.

A hall that took all of 2/3 minutes to walk round was local this was.

The celebrities themselves were absolutely lovely.

Also wouldn’t waste your time trying to make contact. 3 emails and various social media inboxes all unanswered.

Don’t bother!

I went to the event in Sunderland, paid £25 to enter a half a sports hall filled with stalls selling over priced TEMU style knock off gear.

Imagine paying to enter a cheap market to be over charged for everything inside and leave 10 minutes later.

Unfortunately Creed have dropped the ball on the latest event in Truro.
The event was sparsely populated with little stalls selling extremely overpriced TEMU style items.

The general event organisation was very amateur, from confusion around early bird tickets, overcrowding and celebrities that probably felt embarrassed to be there.

The cosplay competition was also hastily organised. So many people in a small space meant an uncomfortable environment for my young son to enjoy what little costumes were actually there on the day.

You will get more fulfillment from walking through any town centre and visiting local shops. At least there will be somewhere to sit and cool down.

I am sad to say i won't be attending again. Having previously enjoyed this type of event.

If the event doesn't live up to expectations/marketing. Creed should really consider if if should go ahead to avoid the backlash that is at this rate, well deserved. Especially in the unprofessional manner in which they have handled the feedback.

Avoid even purchasing a ticket. Recent event in Truro was shambolic and an absolute rip-off. One small room with a dozen stalls selling low quality items, often with no link to TV, comics, films. A prop that looked worse than something from a primary school play. £37 for three people to walk around the hall twice, and leave within 10 minutes along with a number of upset families. Very misleading advertising. Think Glasgow Willy Wonka, but worse!

This was the most appalling and disappointing excuse for a comic con. It took us less than 5 minutes to go around to look around at what I can only describe as overpriced tat. It was overcrowded too, hot and just a waste of time, money and effort. We cannot get our refunds on the tickets as they are non refundable. Absolute disgrace.

Went to the Truro event. Very poor. How can you have a comic con with no comics????

Shame i paid cash as people who paid using paypal arr managing to get refunds.

We bought early-bird tickets expecting a full day of entertainment, activities, cosplay, interesting displays and plenty of traders to browse. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed with what was actually on offer.

We were inside for less than 10 minutes before deciding there was simply nothing there that justified staying. The event was largely made up of stalls, many of which felt more like arts-and-crafts/market stalls than the “incredible traders” advertised.

In terms of activities and entertainment, there was very little — a colouring table, some Lego, a couple of old Nintendo consoles and a few displays/props. There was no meaningful entertainment taking place that we could see.

The event was advertised on social media as a “fantastic family day packed with entertainment”, but we certainly didn’t experience that. Meeting Warwick Davis was available as an additional opportunity, but that doesn’t change the fact that the rest of the event felt extremely sparse.

What’s particularly disappointing is that we aren’t the only people saying this. Looking through the feedback on the event’s own Facebook page, there are numerous other attendees making very similar comments about the lack of entertainment, activities and overall value.

I contacted Creed Conventions afterwards to explain my concerns and request a refund. Their response was essentially that the event was delivered as advertised and that I simply didn’t find the content personally appealing.

I don’t believe that’s a fair representation of what happened. This wasn’t a case of the event simply not being to my taste — there genuinely wasn’t enough there to make it feel like a full-day Comic Con experience.

I appreciate that organising an event isn’t easy, but based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend this event and certainly wouldn’t pay the early-bird ticket price again.

Hopefully the organisers take the substantial amount of negative feedback seriously and put considerably more into future events.

Paid £35 for 3 of us and was in there for 10mins max.
It's was like a local market.
A few stalls and crap props.
They should be ashamed of themselves...
Even with free entry I would of been disapointed.

this was absolutly dire i had low expectations but damn somehow it got lower i feel sorry for the people who put more time into cosplaying than the venue put in.... "lego play zone" with only yellow lego the "prop" photos .... ooof that bat signal screamed last min improv i get why they are non refund tickets now

Unlike others, the event we booked tickets for was real. The stalls, celebrity guests and some of the workers were amazing. However, George Burrows, the individual that runs these conventions, tarnished the entire experience.

After one of the celebrity guests was a star with my aunt, and very kindly offered a free signed photo, George and his assistant refused this notion, and tried to confiscate the photo and our very own property unless £100 was paid. He lied about the celebrities generosity, claiming that they told him this had never happened, before backing down when I requested that he brought them over to confirm this. His tone, unprofessionalism and unacceptable attitude made things very awkward for both my six year old niece, and the celebrity guests surrounding him that he treated as nothing more than property. His assistant was slightly better (and looked like he was going to accept the gift), but still possessed a very sour tone. Fortunately, I managed to speak to a manager with sense, who will remain anonymous, and he gave me enough vouchers to free of charge to satisfy George who thought his stinking attitude had won his £100, and save the day for me and my niece.

I will never return to a Creed Conventions event due to George Burrows and his assistant, and will look for other companies running similar conventions. I'd also recommend anyone to avoid them, and George at all costs. You can't miss him, as he stands around 45cm tall with serious small-man syndrome to match. The reviews for this company are unsurprising to say the least. 1 star - which was gained by the lovely stalls and guests (the batman stand-in was amazing), and the manager who saved the day. A shame.

Don't not go to creed conventions. They are not safety regulated. This guy is trying to steal ukcgf comicon business. He doesn't care about the welfare of your children. Your are risky your kids lives if you go. Creed conventions lets all the perverts and paedophiles in...

Asked for a refund less than 12 hours after purchasing as realised I was at a wedding. The staff then said I could swap to another day. I asked where Chris Barrie was and they literally couldn't be bothered to tell me so I instigated a charge back on my credit card.

APPALLING customer service and would now NEVER go due to this and slate them to anyone who i meet! Ridiculous.

Absolutely vile company, take the money and don't care to provide genuine satisfactory customer service. They also dont communicate properly if at all about guests cancelling or even if guests are booked at all for the event FALSE ADVERTISING as the guests are still advertised for the event on their socials. I would highly recommend avoiding this company like the plague.

Booked a ticket to attend the Newcastle Comic Con via Eventbrite for 23/05/2026. I then turn up on the day only to find that it wasn't on.

I've then been trying to get a refund ever since.

Expect terrible customer service. All they have is an email address to contact them on which they ignore. No phone number to speak to a human being either.

This company organises comicons up and down the UK. The prices they charge are pretty high but the real kicker is that they are all non refundable regardless of situation.
Purchased some tickets for a local comicon as the family have been through a really tough time recently. My wife is fighting cancer and I thought it would be a nice day out for us to forget our troubles. About 30 minutes after booking the tickets, I was checking out online videos of their previous events and could see they were very crowded and being indoor events would not be ideal. With my wife having a compromised immune system, we decided it best to cancel going and stay safe at home. I emailed this issue to them explaining our circumstances and requesting a refund through the eventbrite website. I heard nothing back ever and the money was taken from my account a few weeks later.
Their own website states the following: "We are a small but growing company dedicated to you, the fans, as without you frankly we, along with many others in this entertainment industry, would not exist". Seems to be an aspirational ideal as its not something they practise at the moment.
