I have recently used the services of CTW Solicitors.
I am very impressed with the support I have been given by Alexandra Spillett. She has been incredibly kind, supportive and helpful. I have found her to be professional and extremely efficient; I feel she goes above and beyond to help clients and this has been very reassuring.

Their service was exceptional from start to finish. We had all our queries answered and within three months of initial contact we were able to buy our first home. Everything was seamless and the staff and service were truly exceptional. I highly recommend their services.

This was the worst experience I have had buying and selling properties.

First off, you don’t get a solicitor. A ‘supervised’ para legal deals with all aspects of selling the house.

In my case Laura at Maidstone facilitated the sale of my house. I followed all instructions regarding filling out what was required via the portal, including verifying my ID, which they claimed hadn’t been done, despite the portal saying I had completed the task.

I sent everything off in a timely fashion. In May I sent them my bank details. It wasn’t until two days before the exchange date at the end of August that they informed me there was a problem with the account. When I asked why it had taken three months to notify me of this I was told it was because of my ID not being verified. Yet the problem was their end and was resolved within a week.

I was resent a questionnaire I had already completed weeks previously saying I hadn’t answered all the questions. I had, but for some reason she hadn’t read my responses. Again I was told that this was because I hadn’t completed the form properly.

Communication was sparodic and I was not kept up to date with proceedings. When I met the buyers they told me that their solicitor kept chasing them up and the reason given for them being so slow was down to me not providing information.

If you are paying for a solicitor you should get one.

Yet another positive experience with CTW. Communication is clear and the portal is easy to use. Mainly comms via email, but solicitor or a team member always on hand to assist. Used Zara Wilkins at the Dartford office, always proactive and on the front foot. Highly recommend.

Meera was really helpful, effiecient and responsive. She made the process tick along as quickly as was possible. Unusually for selling property, it was fairly stress free.

Really happy with the service from Mesbah at the Maidstone Office. He was very helpful, quick to respond and always kept us updated. He helped make the buying process simple and got everything completed quickly. Really appreciate all his help and would definitely recommend him.

Finding a solicitor is hard, and it looks like some people have had a good experience with CTW (We had Kirsty McMahon of the Dartford branch, maybe other branches are better), but this was the most stressful experience of my life. I ended up weeping on my living room floor, which I firmly believe would not have happened with a better solicitor.

Everything seemed to take forever, or was suddenly last minute. On one occasion they said we had until 5pm to make the decision, and when we said "I'm sure we actually have another two weeks" they told us we were wrong. When we then did not want to rush a house decision in 2 hours and didn't say yes, we were told a few days later we actually had another two weeks.
We sent a next day letter signed for to the offices, which we got proof of delivery but they "didn't receive it" so we had to get a friend to drive over before 9am the next morning to hand deliver it.
They sent the wrong paperwork twice, and on one occasion said it was okay we'd signed the wrong document as they could just replace the page. I'm not sure this is legal, although it didn't matter as that's the aforementioned one that 'didn't arrive'.
We also got conflicting advice during the process on whether to buy a house if the sellers would not agree to something technical. At first they said 'don't do it, the sellers need to agree and this isn't normal and could come back to bite you' (I'm paraphrasing) and then when the sellers flat out refused, they sounded like it was fine and a non issue. This is quite unnerving when buying a house and in the end we had to get external advice because we're not legal professionals (but presumably neither are you) because at this point we didn't feel like we could trust our solicitors with our best interests.

CTW made our first home purchase as streamlined and straightforward as we could have hoped for and communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Special shout out to Chloe Denyer, who guided us through brilliantly and helped provide peace of mind when we needed it most. Would strongly recommend!

This is the 2nd time we have used cook Taylor Woodhouse when we have moved the fist time we were delt with Anila Marsh and she was the most professional person I have ever come across and blew myself and my wife away with just how on top of things she was! So there was only one company and definitely one person we wanted to deal with when we were moving again and that person was Anila Marsh..and once again was a absolute superstar...she was pretty much did everything apart from pack our clothes! What a absolute pleasure it was to deal with you again Anila and I don't know how you did it but got us the very exchange and completion date we wanted! You truly are a gem! We can't do gank you enough! No move moving we promise!! Thank you!!

Mesbah at the Maidstone office handled both our flat sale and our new-build purchase at the same time, and neither was straightforward. The sale threw up round after round of enquiries — unadopted roads and sewers, management company certificates, planning conditions, plus a buyer who needed a lot of reassurance along the way.
Mesbah chased the council, the management agents and the other side persistently, answered our questions quickly, and kept both transactions alive when it would have been easy for things to fall apart. He was always reachable and never made us feel like a nuisance for asking (we were though!).
We completed on the day we planned and are now in our new home. Thank you, Mesbah.

My experience of having Paaris Khan from the Maidstone office has been great, obviously with every house purchase there are bumps and stops in the way and Paaris was on the case ( with a few prompts) but cannot fault his devotion to getting the case sewn up as early as possible, just over 13 weeks from selling our house to completion and moving into our new property. Amreet provided fantastic service for our house sale. She was professional, very quick to respond to communications, and helped us deal with all the speed bumps that come up during house sales. Amanique Ghag was very professional and really good at her job. She was supportive and she reassured me, as well as patient with me when I had questions and concerns. I am pleased that it is all completed. I would use the firm again in the future.

I wouldn’t normally do reviews but was asked to as ‘every 5-star review helps me significantly’.

I am purely basing this review on my experience with the firm when selling my property and cannot go on what other firms offer; I do feel however that the experience was definitely sub par. I understand that law firms are not necessarily there for great customer service, but a fairly non existent service is worrying.

We accepted an offer on our flat in March however only completed at the end of August. Whilst I can’t speak for what goes on in the background, from what I was hearing from the buyer (who constantly had her solicitors chasing her for CTW’s responses) and the estate agents (who actually recommended CTW), there wasn’t too much happening.

I chased several times but on numerous occasions, was unsuccessful in getting a response that day.

We are pleased that we decided to move to another area of the country, renting, for a short period to ensure we like it and, now that we do, we are imminently looking to buy. CTW will not be the law firm that we will be using purely on this experience.
