The bootcamp course worked very well for me as a beginner. In particular it was very motivational: the daily prompts mean you are encouraged to write every day, and post a piece roughly every third d... もっと見る
Unfortunately the course has not been updated since 2024. I found myself doing the course I’d done then again.

I did the Writing Short Stories course as well as the 30-day Bootcamp. Both courses are fine for beginners so I would only recommend those courses if you want to start with the basics. The course it... もっと見る

Great courses for people who are serious about writing
I did the Curtis Brown Creative six month novel course and it was without a doubt one of the best decisions I've ever made. A great course tutor and guest tutors, lots of incredibly valuable advice from authors and agents, and most of all, encouragement to believe that it is possible to get a book published if you're willing to work hard enough at it.

I had a great time
I had a great time, learnt many things and had the support of a great tutor. I would recommend this course not only for the learning but also for the contacts and the insight one gains into an agency like CB.

Outstanding course
I took the online courses, and the face-to-face London based 3 month course. The quality of teaching is very high, and it's led me to represented by a top agent, as well as having a community of writer friends, who I highly value. The courses are well managed, and the team are passionate. I'm very glad I took the plunge and applied for the longer course, as it changed my life.

I did the 6-month face-to-face…
I did the 6-month face-to-face novel-writing course and found it to be excellent. A good mix of 'learning-the-craft' input, alongside learning to become more savvy about the industry. The range of tutors and guest speakers involved gives great depth and range to the whole experience. Others on the course were serious about strengthening their writing and building a career and as a group we continue to meet and support each other in invaluable ways. The course and support from fellow-writers were major factors in helping me to get an excellent agent.
