I've used Direct Specs, Rowley Regis, West Midlands for years and recommend them over and over.
Phil is always professional and friendly going above and beyond.
As always I chose my Frames from Direct Specs and within a few days Phil contacted me to collect them.
As soon as I tried them on I knew they wern't right so Phil immediately checked them to the prescription I'd had from Specsavers, Rowley Regis, West Midlands. Phil confirmed the glasses were exactly to the script.
The only conclusion I could come to was my Sight test at Specsavers was wrong so I popped along and managed to speak with the Manager. I explained the situation and politely asked if the eye test could be wrong. I certainly wasn't expecting his response. He was very hostile and told me it had nothing to do with them as I didn't have the glasses from them. I tried to explain where I bought the glasses from had no bearing on them being wrong as the lenses matched the script so I asked if I could have a new sight test to make sure there were no discrepencies to which the Manager was having none of it and told me to go back to Direct Specs as the issue lay with them.
I returned to see Phil who as always was so understanding and kind and together we thought it would be best to pay for another Sight test which I did and now £60 out of pocket to prove Specsavers did send me away with an incorrect Script.
Phil had the new lenses put in and I'm delighted to say my glasses are finally perfect.
As I said I'm out of pocket which isn't fair but I couldn't face the Manager at Specsavers after being humiliated.
I can't thank Phil enough for going above and beyond sorting a problem which should have been Specsavers responsibility.

The Shirley branch were exceptional for their customer service. My arm of my glasses fell off and they were fixed swiftly and very economically. I will return when I have a new prescription for a pair of vari focals.

I went into the Burton branch wanting to reglaze my Ray Bans with varifocal, polarised transition lenses. Jenny researched the very best option for me so I placed the order and my glasses were ready to collect a week and a half later. Jenny's knowledge and great conversation made for a brilliant buying experience.

Purchased my glasses online last November but at the weekend the arm broke off! I emailed the company straight away and sent them in the post Monday evening. By Wednesday lunchtime they were delivered back to me - all fixed and no charge!

Matt & Gary gave great service. Also suggested that my puppy chewed specs may be repairable - which they were! I suspect other opticians would simply insist a new pair would be required . .
I decided to purchase an additional pair as a spare anyway. Great team at Shirley Solihull branch. Wish you did contact lenses too, would use you for daily disposables if you did.

Phoned Gary today and a broken pair of sunglasses where the arm had came away from the frame. He said come straight in. Within ten minutes Gary had removed the old screw and added a new one! Fantastic! Saved me hundreds in buying a new pair! Really would recommend Gary and the team as they clearly know and enjoy what they do.

Very helpful in the shop. Vary happy for me to try multiple pairs of glasses and giving very helpful feedback and suggestions on which type of glasses look and fit the best.

Jenny was friendly and very knowledgeable. Made the visit very pleasurable. My glasses were ready within the given time scale and are so far very good I will definitely be returning.

From the moment you walk in your met with a friendly and professional manager (Jenny) the process is easy and so much cheaper than the high street with new glasses within the week definitely going back again

The whole process from start to finish was a pleasant experience. Jenny was a cheerful, pleasant person to deal with. There was a wide range of frames to choose from. I was not disappointed and would recommend to anyone.

Gary was very patient and helpful while i picked out sunglasses and glasses recently. They arrived less than a week later and expertly fitted by Gary too. Really happy, thank you!

I have been using direct specs in Shirley west Midlands for a couple of years. I went in last Monday as I know Gary works on that day and yet again I was not disappointed. He once again was friendly, very attentive and professional. He always seems to be able to sort out any problems I have with mine and my mother's glasses. He is such an asset to the Company to the degree I only go in when I know he is working. Gary u are fantastic and so helpful, keep up the good work as I would probably look elsewhere if u wasn't there.

After a bit of a nightmare with Royal Mail, they lost my delivery/sent it back
I emailed again and Abi rang me within minutes to say they would replace them - fantastic service

Jenny identified straight away that I was wearing the wrong bridge size; that’s why my spectacles kept sliding down my nose. I didn’t even realise there was such a thing. Jenny is always cheerful and welcoming. I’ve bought specs from here for at least 10 years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
