The tour was fantastic, and our tour guide (Harry)was exceptional! He had amazing knowledge of Scotland and shared fascinating information about all the places we visited. The tour started exactly on time, and we returned right on schedule. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this tour!

I had an absolutely wonderful time on this day trip. A big reason for that was our tour guide and driver, Harry (like the prince or the wizard).
He did a phenomenal job of educating us on the rich history of Scotland along with his perfectly timed humour.
I would highly recommend this trip for anyone who has a day in Scotland. It covers so many key historical sites and has breathtaking views of the highlands as you go along.

Stuart was a great driver and guide for our tour. He had great commentary during our drive and made helpful suggestions for where eat at each rest stop which we tried and enjoyed, plus it saved us time from looking around.
The main point of the tour is Fort Augustus at Loch Ness which is where we spent the most time. There are multiple stops along the way there and back including a 30 minute rest both ways.

Our trip to Oban and beyond was delightful. Our driver, Al, was entertaining, informative, helpful, and just plain fun! The stops were nicely spaced, with plenty of photo ops, and enough time at the longer stops for a meal or other explorations. I would highly recommend Discover Scotland Tours.

When I was researching different ways to visit Mull, I read a lot of reviews. Many left me with the impression that the tour would provide the route and transport, but that what I made of the experience would largely be up to me. It was only when I came across reviews of this company that I started reading consistently detailed accounts of guides who genuinely added something to the journey. Having now taken the tour myself, I understand why.
I had a very positive experience from the very beginning. Before the trip, I had several questions about the organisation and received quick, detailed replies that gave me all the information I needed to prepare.
Our driver-guide, Dave, was excellent. Throughout the four days he shared a great deal of information about Scottish history, nature and everyday life, always with a light sense of humour that made even the longer drives enjoyable. I particularly appreciated the music he had selected especially for the journey, as well as the personal stories he occasionally shared about places we were passing through. These details made the experience feel much more personal than a standard guided tour.
We were a small group of only eight people, which also contributed greatly to the atmosphere and made the trip feel relaxed and flexible.
The itinerary on Mull is inevitably very dependent on the weather and sea conditions, and I thought this was handled particularly well. The programme was rearranged from day to day so that we could make the most of the conditions rather than simply following the original schedule. Unfortunately, rough conditions at sea meant that our trip to Staffa had to be cancelled, but instead we visited a weaving mill and a castle. I really appreciated that the change did not simply leave a gap in the programme — alternatives were found so that we still had a full and interesting day.
Overall, the tour felt very well organised but never rigid. We saw a great deal, learned a lot about Scotland and Mull, and the combination of a small group, a flexible itinerary and an excellent guide made the four days genuinely enjoyable.

A small number of guests on the minibus and good guidance from Scott allowed us to enjoy the stunning scenery.

We had a fantastic experience with Discover Scotland Tours and would highly recommend them.

We did the 4-day Isle of Mull tour with Scott followed by the 3-day Isle of Skye tour with Gary. Both were knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, and made the drives just as enjoyable and interesting as the stops themselves.

The 16-passenger minibus was a huge plus. We had all the benefits of having the logistics handled without feeling like we were part of a massive tour group. The smaller group also gave us a chance to get to know the other travelers, and allowed the guides some flexibility to add little extras along the way, like a stop at Isle of Mull Weavers.

We booked our B&Bs through Discover Scotland as well, and both were clean, comfortable, and private. Just be prepared for the hills in Tobermory depending on where you’re staying!

We also loved the thoughtful touches, including the shortbread Gary’s wife sent for the bus and the Scottish chocolate treats. My only regret is not trying the curry in Tobermory!

Everyone at Discover Scotland was easy to work with, and the whole trip felt seamless from start to finish. We would absolutely travel with them again and highly recommend them for anyone looking for a fun, personal, small-group way to see Scotland.

I had an amazing time on my recent Discover Scotland 4-Day Isles of Mull, Iona & the Highlands tour. My tour companions and our remarkable leader, Colin, made this the perfect adventure. Colin made the trip a fun, memorable experience I will always cherish. He was always happy to answer our questions and fill us in on local history, and the tea towels he displayed in the coach reflecting places and customs, was a nice touch. The isles of Mull and Iona are truly beautiful! The boat ride to Staffa was an adventure, and even though the rough swells prevented us from getting close enough to embark onto Staffa, we were close enough to appreciate the breathtaking views of the uninhabited island and Fingal’s Cave. I may do the same tour next year before the puffins leave Staffa near the end of July, not to mention that I may be 'called' again to the spiritual Isle of Iona. Awesome tour! Thank you, Colin, Discover Scotland Tours, and the friends I made.

Our journey with Discover Scotland was all that we could wish for and more. We visited everything that we wanted to see, and had enough time to really experience every site. Dave, our driver, was thoughtful, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way possible, letting us know what was coming up, what we could expect to see, and how much time we had at each stop. I cannot imagine a better tour.

The Loch Ness Tour from Glasgow was fantastic, such a long day, but worth every minute! Our guide Harry had the perfect mix of scholarly knowledge and personality needed to educate and entertain us. He shared Scottish music, taught us Scottish legend, and answered our myriads of questions. Truly, this was a once in a lifetime experience, and I highly recommend it!

The tour was more than I could’ve asked for! Booking was easy and tour updates and reminders were so helpful. Our group was so blessed with Ron as our guide! He provided a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm and was very thorough with this instructions. Highly recommend this tour company! Can’t wait to sign up for more tours in the future!

Kieran was a great guide, super funny, and gave us great tips for the best viewpoints etc. We had plenty of time to explore on foot and take pics. Highly recommend!

Everything ran on time. I sat behind tour driver, Alan and his insight into Scottish history and traditions was rewarding and added to the beautiful scenery. I would recommend your company again and were I to remain in Scotland longer would gladly book a repeat journey with Alan.

Stuart was a terrific guide. Friendly, funny and patient and a great driver, getting us smoothly to destinations I couldn’t imagine driving on my own. He shared great stories of the history and culture of the Highlands and Skye.
He was also very flexible. When my wife was experiencing severe car sickness with some of the narrow and winding roads he was willing to leave us in Portree for a few hours and pick us up on the way back from the afternoon stops.
