I had the worst experience ever with dr gadgets romford.
On Thursday 17th Sept 2026 I brought my daughters ipad to this store, the screen was working however the pen was not connecting with an area on the screen, so a new screen was required. This was ordered. On Friday 18th I rang for update no screen delivered yet and was assured it would arrive sat lunch time on Sat. At 3pm due to no contact . I went to store no screen yet they said it would arrive 4pm, I advised them I would at 6.30 and by now I was feeling very un easy with the excuses given. When I arrived they proceeded to place the ipad in 3 pieces on the counter and said the screen back light was not working any more and they now had to check the motherboard. My daughter was with me and she decided that we would take it with us and get it looked at elsewhere, so we asked for them to return to its original condition. They persistently asked for more time but the whole situation by now felt very un comfortable. They put the ipad back together and returned to the counter with it, I asked them to show me it was working to which I was repeatedly fobbed off, following a confrontation of words they finally admitted they had damaged it and needed time to fix it, when I asked what they had damaged they had no ans. I asked for the owner to be called who also tried to get me to give them time when I challenged him on what his staff had admitted to, he said yes we are honest we told you. What he didn't seem to understand was that this admission was not given freely and had I not said no more time I would never have been told of the damage caused and probably been charged for replacements they had broke. I refused to leave without the ipad in the condition they had returned it requesting they return to its functioning condition so we could have it looked at elsewhere. They just kept saying we need time. So yes I was angry and yes I raised my voice, by now it was passed closing time and they had wasted an hr arguing with me rather than working on returning the ipad to the condition I brought it in. So I called my son who works locally and they called security, I think under the impression that it would scare me. When security arrived he went to the counter and again in a pitiful voice the employee said its an electrical issue and need time but didn't disclose the damage they had just admitted to. I asked the security guard if they had brought in an item and it was returned with further damage would he consider it acceptable to which he said no. I then asked if they can't tell me what they have damaged how can they fix it?. To which their was silence. I then asked when they didn't freely admit their damage how do I trust them? again silemce. My son arrived and approached the counter and calmly asked him to clarify what they had done to which again they admitted they had damaged the ipad but could not say what they had done.
Eventually we left with a replacement and a sign agreement by this staff member stating what had occurred and what we expected. Monday we will again check in with them if they have not returned it to its original state they have 1 week to fix it if not they will replace with a new ipad.

On Monday the21st they still had not been able to return the ipad to the condition they received it.

Today Thursday the 24th they have finally returned the ipsd and its functioning but for how long I don't know as there's no guarantee of their work as there receipt stipulate repairs are at your own risk. This single statement tells all.

What was most distressing was that, had I not asked to take the ipad with us , the admitted damage would never have been disclosed. The attitude and demeanor of both staff members was deceptive and dismissive as if my questions were invalid or dare I say stupid until I forced the truth out of them

Very good experience has everything that I needed had to take my phone back three times have various jobs done and the longest it took on one of jobs was an hour the rest of the time it was less than that gentleman that runs a shock is very polite for those inks and also he can get stopped for any phone on the same day prices very good for the service I would Mark him at least a hundred percent out of 100% for kindness and job well done and put the phone back to its proper States just receive it back and looks like a brand new phone doesn't even look like something's wrong with it yet again I would recommend this to anybody out there who even has an old phone to go and ask him the chances of you get it fixed could be very good my phone is about eight years old and it's an Android but it does iPhone's as well

I came to Dr Gadgets Goodmayes Branch to fix my Iphone 16 pro max lcd. The guy on the front was very good and helping. He replaced my screen in front of me and charged me very reasonable price. very happy and satisfied with there services and always will back to this shop and will recommend to all my family members. Helpful friendly staff, done an excellent job on my Apple Music library sync to my new iPad even Apple refused to do for a retired man, Dr.Gadgets Romford remarkable.

I never learn my lesson.

Took my iPad to Dr Gadgets to get the screen fixed and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the service. The repair was done within an hour and the iPad looks and works like new again.
