Bought a 1 hp inground pool pump. On-line ordering was excellent, was delivered quickly. Got it installed, it has to be the best pump I have had and I know that parts are available if needed through Doheny. Excellent in every respect. Very happy with my purchase.

Everything was wrong. Horrible customer service, if you can call it customer service. Ordered online, it gave a one day delivery. Confirmation gave 4 days to deliver and had some random address on it that is nowhere near me, in another city 2 hours away. I entered my home address on the online order form. Then when I call them to get it corrected, I'm told they can't correct it and I have to pay $20 for them to TRY to correct the address. Via email of course because reaching someone is impossible. Now, this product that I desperately needed is going to some random address and I'm just out the money. This company is horrible.

Bought v/s pool pump from them after about 3 months seal started leaking called to order new seal and they said not avaliable they are still selling pump on website
Had to pay postage to send pump back rather not deal with the hassle was will to pay for the seal

I followed the manufacturer's instructions precisely when using this company's spa chemicals and verified the water balance with both their recommended testing method and my spa manufacturer's test strips. Shortly after exiting the spa, I experienced a severe burning sensation in my legs, groin, and armpits, which developed into chemical burns and dermatitis requiring medical attention.

I promptly contacted the company to report the issue. Their response focused primarily on protecting their reputation and online reviews rather than addressing my concerns. They provided a generic reply suggesting that multiple variables could have contributed to the reaction. Having used various spa chemicals over many years without incident, I find this explanation unconvincing, particularly given the immediate onset of symptoms following exposure.

I requested a return of the unused portion of the product and a full refund. The company declined, citing their policy against refunds on opened products.

Based on this experience, I advise potential customers to exercise caution before purchasing from this company. They appear unwilling to stand behind their products or prioritize customer safety and satisfaction when issues arise. Proceed only if you are prepared to accept the risk of non-refundable purchases in the event of an adverse reaction.

I ordered this item in November 2023 received it and we've been using it for the last 6 months. This item does not drain properly I sent pictures and asked to have it modified so that it actually drains the water off the top it's just collecting it in a pool stretching the top and eventually is going to ruin it. I've been told I'm not putting it on correctly. Water collects on sides without drain so pictures look like is loose when its stretched out due to rain or snow. This needs to be fixed but company doesn't stand by their work.

This company will steal your money. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a product from this company for my pool and needed to return it. They emailed me a return slip, so no issues there. It was returned at their facility via FEDEX with the right address returned and they have not given me a refund. I was told by customer serv8ce over the phone that once they receive the item, they will process the money back onto my credit card. Item was returned months ago to the right address via FEDEX.

Great experience! When my pump failed, I called and got quick help. The rep found me exactly what I needed at a great sale price. Ordered on a weekend, delivered by Thursday. Easy to install and now runs like a dream.

Second season on a pool cover with a ten year warranty, seam failed on middle section of cover, "warranty" covers failed seam, problem is cost for replacement ( with warranty) is more than original purchase price. I will take my business elsewhere.

My custom pool cover is fabulous!! Very high quality mesh, new hardware, fits like a glove, well made, heavy duty straps, all around top of the line.
Pricing was also the best.

Truth is, I was very skeptical to order sight unseen but found that working with Doheny's was very easy, questions were always answered promptly. Following their directions was easy, sent in old winter cover and was rewarded with a great replacement cover that exceeded my expectations, thank you to all involved in the process, pool covered perfect,

They have everything pool related, which is actually good, and I didn’t expect to see such a variety of things. Actually, I opened the website with the intention to buy only the cover for the pool, but ended up buying a whole bunch of small things as well such as kits. All in all, the prices are fine and the quality is as good as in photos, but advising not to sit too long on their website...

Purchased a high end solar cover from docents on Amazon. Horrible to try to get a warranty claim for their cheap Chinese junk. Took several Amazon emails to reach them, had to provide way too much documentation that they already had from Amazon. Bubbles started coming off within one season of a 10 year solar cover.

They would not stand behind their product, and ultimately closing the Amazon case without satisfaction..

Absolutely would not use them again, waste of money. I thought I was buying USA, but ended up buying imported Chinese garbage for top dollar.

I had the opportunity to work with Matthew (custom sales specialist) to purchase a new inground pool liner. I was initially hesitant to tackle this as a DIY project, however, he walked me through the entire process of measuring and submitting the proper forms. From the initial measuring directions to the self help videos on DIY liner changes, I was able to install this product that has met or exceeded professional standards. I am super thankful for the entire Doheny team in their precision and workmanship while custom making this liner. The product arrived promptly on a secured pallet. The shipping service even kept me informed on approximate arrival during transit. The directions on the box, are clear and easy to follow. The liner was unpackaged easily and installation was seamless. When I tell you it is a perfect fit, it is a gross understatement. The liner is FLAWLESS with no wrinkles! Thanks again for your service!

I was in need of a replacement safety pool cover and after a lot of research, contact local vendors and independent searches, it became apparent GLI was the leader in safety covers and Doheny's used them for safety covers. I contacted Doheny's and they have a service, in conjunction with GLI where they ship a box to you, you put your old cover in and it is shipped to GLI where it is measured and a specific quote is provided. This is a great service when your current cover does not have a serial number or manufacturers mark where the alternative is to do numerous pool measurements. Not only did the cover fit, they added a strap that improved overall safety to meet current standards. Included with the cover were all anchors needed and tools for cover closure. It was a great experience and since I could not immediately install the cover as I would have had to take it off again as it was the beginning of summer when I ordered it. I installed in after Labor Day and was pleased with results, experience and Doheny's rep Joanna. She took all my calls, answered my questions and made the experience pleasurable. These covers aren't cheap so the hands on by Joanna and GLI made it a very positive experience.

I would highly recommend Doheny's for many pool items but especially if you need a custom fit cover.

Ordered a pool hose. It doesn’t fit standard fittings. Asked to return, charged 40% of value to return and then not even credited complete remaining amount. F this company

I bought a sand filter plastic tank from Doheny’s in May 2024 with a one year warranty on the filter tank ($400+). In August 2025, two months after the warranty expired I noticed a leak. Obviously, the tank was out of warranty and Dohenys warranty was invalid. This is the third plastic tank that has sprung a leak from different companies. I had a fiberglass one that lasted 20 years. It seems all tanks are now made of plastic and will leak after about 15 months of use. Each tank was a more expensive tank thinking it would be stronger.

Company does not state amount of media filter is to be used in there brochures bought 500 lb needed 300lb. when returning company states you pay the freight its in the contract.
Beware of this company it seems slippery and slimey

I ordered a new Pool pump with a 1 year warranty, and it went bad before the year warranty was out.( Barely working) I called them and they said that They wouldn't send a replacement before I they received the defective one back to them. So I decided to Just purchase a replacement so I could continue to use that one that was barely working until I received the 2nd one that I purchased, Then would get the credit as they agreed.

So I sent the defective one back , expecting to get the credit for the one that I purchased. This was the nightmare. I had spoke with multiple people, Multipal times , and every time I called, they couldn't find my account and asked me to re-tell them what had happened . To top is off they did not have a English vocabulary! For all of the people that I spoke with I could hardly understand them.... Very frustrating. I will not Order from Them again.! \\ Mr. Doheny Please give me a call ! PS. Its been over a Month + and I still don't have my credit!

The worst customer service and their brand pump only lasted 5 months. Warranty policy is not reasonable.
