Great customer service, with special thanks to Andrei at Luton Airport who went out of his way to find a suitable car for me as I needed something different from the one that was booked. I use Drivalia often and am more than happy with the service.

Time and again I have found Drivalia the BEST. No push to add extra reliable professional, helpful friendly - and GREAT cars!
Good service, crap location (Luton)
If booking in Luton airport, these folks are NOT located in the main hire care village. They're based in one of the big third-party offsite car parking areas. On delivering the car back to them, en route for my return flight, it took me 65 minutes from signing my 'all done' paperwork to getting to the airport. Waited ages for a standing room only bus, for an uncomfortable long drive back.
No issues with the car hire service - and I would happily use the company again, just not at their Luton airport location.

Inconsistent Claims and Unfair Charges – Avoid
I had a very poor experience with Drivalia Luton Airport and would strongly advise others to avoid this company.
I was charged £280 (£200 “smoking/cleaning” + £80 admin fee) even though I did NOT smoke in the vehicle.
At the time of return, staff clearly stated that there was NO cigarette smell in the car and only mentioned a small amount of ash. After I challenged the charge, they changed their statement and claimed there was a “strong smell of smoke,” which directly contradicts what was said in person.
No burn marks, no recorded smell at the time, and no credible evidence of smoking were provided — only ash, which does not prove that smoking occurred inside the vehicle.
Despite pointing out these contradictions, they refused to review the case and stated that the charge is “not negotiable.”
Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company under any circumstances.
UPDATE: Before posting this review, I had already contacted the company through their Manage My Booking portal and customer service channels, and I have records of these communications.
Despite this, the issue was not resolved. Instead, I was met with further inconsistent and unsupported allegations.
This is exactly why I chose to share my experience here. I am still awaiting a fair resolution.

Honestly all good. Fast easy clear. Had a guy, Andres at Luton branch. First rate. Ran the car for 4 days. Perfect. Definitely use again.

Excellent Value For Money
Excellent service from pick-up to drop-off. Polite and friendly staff at the Luton branch in Slip End. The car was clean and tidy and we had no problems with it. The price was very competitive and we feel we had excellent value for money. We definitely recommend and we will use this company again in the future.

Be Careful with Upgrades and Add-Ons – Drivalia UK Experience
Sharing my experience renting from Drivalia in the UK so others can be cautious.
I originally booked a Kia Sportage for 4 days for £206. At the counter, staff pushed an upgrade and told me it was offered at a “50% discount.” I agreed, but later discovered (after receiving the invoice by email a few hours later) that I had been charged the full £50 per day. A “Family Vacation Pack” costing £72 per day was also added without being clearly explained. The total price jumped from £206 to £678.
When returning the car at London Luton Airport, I followed the drop-off instructions given by staff, but later received a parking charge for stopping there.
Overall, several charges were not clearly explained at the counter, and I only realised the full cost after leaving with the car. I recommend carefully checking all add-ons and asking for a full written breakdown before accepting any upgrades to not be taken advantage off.

Excellent service
We were let down on the day by a different car hire company and Andrei from the Luton airport branch was a fantastic help with sourcing a car on the same day. The car was ready by the time we reached the branch on the free shuttle bus from the airport. Unfortunately, the first car that we hired had a puncture, we only managed to drive 5 minutes so returned to the branch. Andrei had arranged another car within a few minutes despite having all of the vehicles prebooked and we were able to leave straight away.
The car was virtually new and was clean and filled with fuel, ready to use. We will definitely use drivalia again.

Rip off
I had to change the pick-up time for the car a day before the rental commenced, Drivallia charged me £20 extra.
When I picked up the car, the company informed me that I had to pay an extra £40 for dropping off the car out of hour. This was not mention when I booked the car with the drop off time or on their web site.
During the time I drove the car I did not have any accidents, nor left the car in any place where it would get damaged and was therefore sure there were no damages on the vehicle.
I dropped the car off at night (out of hours) in Drivalia’s car park. As it was very dimly lit, I could not take photos of the vehicle. On my return home I received a claim for £350 for a scratch that I knew nothing about.
