Excellent service, quality vehicles, large variety of inventory

Outstanding dealership, Professional staff, facility was immaculate, large inventory with a good variety of vehicles. All vehicles are clean and look new. Painless process, fast service that only took a little over an hour from start to finish. Let me leave my old vehicle there until i can pick it up. Down payment amount from the website was lower than actual down payment, which in my opinion is a great thing. Highly recommend this dealer if you are looking for quality used cars. Especially if your credit history like mine is on the lower end of the scale. I will be returning here for my next vehicle purchase down the road.

Terrible Experience

To Whom It May Concern,

I recently purchased a vehicle from DriveTime, and while my initial sales experience was positive, my overall journey has been profoundly disappointing and frustrating.

The sales process was smooth, and I appreciated the courteous and accommodating demeanor of your team, especially as I traveled from out of state to complete the purchase. However, concerns emerged during the test drive when I noticed a howling noise, vibrations likely caused by a failing wheel bearing, and a non-functioning front passenger window. Despite these red flags, I placed my trust in the process, believing the vehicle had been properly inspected and was safe to drive.

Unfortunately, my trust has since been severely broken. Within two months--and after driving the vehicle for only one week--I have had to replace the transmission, a wheel bearing, a window switch, an air flow sensor, and all four tires. After replacing the tires, I was informed by the alignment technician that the rims were severely damaged, causing significant safety issues that should have been disclosed before the sale. This situation could have endangered my family, as I transport my children daily in this vehicle.

Seeking a resolution, I reached out to DriveTime's Missouri location, where Area Manager Katie courteously referred me to Customer Relations. However, my interactions with representatives Essence and Raul left me feeling dismissed, unheard, and frustrated. Despite enduring over $12,000 in repairs to address issues present from the start, I was told no assistance would be provided. Instead, I received what felt like a generic, automated response designed to appear empathetic but ultimately hollow in substance. After being directed back to Consumer Relations--where the cycle repeated--it became painfully clear that DriveTime's post-sale support lacks genuine care and meaningful solutions.

As a customer, I had expected better. The common wisdom of "the customer is always right" once guided businesses toward fairness and satisfaction. Sadly, this principle seems lost in my experience. Without a significant change in approach, I worry that a truly tragic incident will be required before lessons are learned about prioritizing customer safety and well-being.

I recognize that not every vehicle will be perfect, and I do not intend to discredit DriveTime as a whole. There are undoubtedly good vehicles on your lots, and I appreciated my initial positive sales experience. However, my case exposes critical gaps in inspection standards, warranty policies, and post-sale service that leave customers vulnerable to unsafe conditions and financial strain.

I trusted DriveTime, and that trust has cost me dearly. I am requesting a comprehensive, compassionate review of my situation and a resolution that aligns with the fairness, transparency, and integrity I expected from your company.

Easy Vehicle Purchas Ever

My fiance and I had an accident and our insurance totaled the Jeep out. We were scared to death that no one would approve us because of our credit. Drive Time in Columbia, Missouri was FANTASTIC. They were nice and explained everything in detail, assisted with making sure we were able to get the payment we wanted. Told us about discounts available with our insurance and protecting our vehicle. These people are amazing, I even referred my nephew to go and talk with them about his first car.

Just disgusting

Absolutely worst experience I've ever had in a car company. The car was terrible, the interest rate was horrid and the loan company you guys used is dreadful. Will NEVER use again and will turn as many people away as I possibly can. Would leave no stars if I could.

All our vehicles go through our inspection process which is backed by a Limited Warranty for mechanical failures within the first 30-days/1,500-miles. We also offer a 5-day Vehicle Return Policy, that allows our customers the opportunity to inspect and get comfortable with their purchase.
