If I could give 0 stars I would . I purchased a vehicle from the Greensboro location and 9 days later I was in the shop . Precision tune , shop they recommended who stated there was no issue. Less than 30days the engine light came back on for the same issue. I repaired the issue and now my car is cutting off in traffic ! I reported them to the BBB and it clearly doesn’t matter. These people are selling broken cars ! Selling a used car that you know is broken is WRONG and should be illegal!

I have not heard from the dealership so I was under distress about my plates ect and the dealer requested me to provide lunch and all that for a celebration of me getting approved! I feel it’s all about the selling of a car instead helping the customers in need!

Complete Customer Service Failure
I purchased a Hyundai Tucson from DriveTime of Greensboro on Wendover Avenue on March 4, 2026. My salesman, Eric Wardlaw, did an outstanding job guiding me through the process. He was professional, efficient, and made the buying experience smooth. Unfortunately, everything after the sale has been extremely disappointing.
On March 31, less than a month after purchase, the check engine light came on and the vehicle would not exceed 60 mph. I contacted DriveTime immediately and was instructed to take the vehicle to a garage that honors the SilverRock warranty. The garage diagnosed the vehicle and informed me that the issue required attention from a Hyundai dealership.
On April 1, I had the vehicle towed to Capital Hyundai, where it has remained ever since. Today is April 6, and as far as I know, the vehicle still has not been inspected. What has made this situation worse is the complete lack of support from both DriveTime and Capital Hyundai. I have called DriveTime, their “special customer service team,” and even requested to speak with a manager. Three days later, I still have not received a single call back.
Meanwhile, I am paying for a rental car out of my own pocket and, apparently, I’m still expected to make my regular car payment on a vehicle I cannot even drive. No one seems concerned about the inconvenience, the cost, or the fact that the vehicle failed so quickly after purchase.
This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had. While the sales process was handled well, the lack of follow‑through, communication, and accountability afterward has been extremely disappointing. I hope this review encourages DriveTime to take customer concerns more seriously and provide the level of service their customers deserve.
