I ordered some bits from Drum Stop on the 4th August - It is now the 28th August and I still have not received it. The website is "down for maintenance", the phone line isn't working and my emails are ignored. Have they gone bust or is it just very poor service?

Today we travelled a hundred mile round trip to visit Drum stop with my son. He has had a 5th hand kit for over a year and just passed his Rock School exams and we felt he deserved a brand new kit now. My son Matthew has a range of very complex disabilities including autism/pda and leg deformaties. When we arrived Craig the GM looked after us. He is absolutely fantastic!! We all learnt so much as Craig spent time talking us through how drums are made, the different manufacturers, how to tune the drums etc. We'd had a possible idea of the drums we wanted to get before arrival - a mid range kit possibly Peart/Yamaha/Mapex but going through the extensive displays and listening to Craig Matthew settled on the Yamaha Stage Custom Birch. Craig was so wonderful with Matthew, very kind, respectful and helpful and I cannot strongly recommend him highly enough to other parents who have disabled children who play the drums to visit. Matthew was so happy with his kit but also with the time Craig spent with us as he learnt so much, had the opportunity to play the Yamaha drums, and the fact that he coped in the environment as Craig made us all feel so welcome. The package was really good (and the price) and we have also chosen for Craig to build/tune the set, and to have it delivered during the week. Even though we've not go the kit just yet I wanted to post a review purely for the customer service as it is so exceptional. So thank you so much Craig and the Drum Stop Team - you deliver the best customer service ever and you gave Matthew such a boost - smiles all around!! Kathryn x

I know nothing about drums! To give you an idea, I am 59 and prefer reading my kindle with a glass of wine after a busy day in the garden. But as my son's designated roadie for a gig in June I had to get a set of cases ordered ready for 'Pete and the White Van! '
Drum-Stop took a worried Mum under their wings (you lift me uuuuup....) and helped me (show a little tendernessssss) make it happen in time. A series of prompt deliveries (wheels on fire) and a few phone calls (I'm in the phone booth it's the one across the hall) and my worries were over. (don't worry, be happy).
These guys are, I think the correct term is, sick......Man.

I bought my product (in stock on the drum-stop.co.uk website) at the same time I places orders with two other online drum retailers, GAK and Gear4music. Drum-stop confirmed my order on the day of purchase, then didn't send another email confirming the processing of the order for four more days. By this time, I had already received my similarly-sized orders from the other retailers. When I received processing confirmation from Drum-stop, it told me delivery would be in 3-4 working days. The order actually arrived 9 days later, with no other communication in between, making for a total fulfilment time of 13 days.

Working in online retail myself, I find it a joke that it took 13 days to deliver a package from Sheffield to Hertfordshire, particularly given the item was apparently in stock on ordering. The item was delivered exactly as described and packaged securely, but for a non-free delivery (£4.99 charge), I'd expect far quicker service and unfortunately won't be using Drum-stop again.

I've a cymbal case, boom cymbal arm and other it's and bobs from drum stop! The cymbal case too some time but not drum stops fault! Their customer service representatives were excellent! Friendly; professional and very quick at getting back to me. They chased the order and had it delivered on a next day delivery (a Saturday too!). Everything else I've bought so far has been delivered on time! Will definitely use drum stop as my first point of drum purchases before looking elsewhere!
