A simple course made difficult

The enrolment process was very difficult with a lot of conflicting informtion regarding ID. It was very frustrating. The instructor who delivered the course was very knowledgable, but how the content was delivered was not clear. At one point the instructor made a comment that I found discriminatory although I don't think it was intentional. The preparatory LLN requirements I doubt are reasonable for people whose first language is not English.

We’re glad to hear that you found the trainer knowledgeable, though we’re sorry that aspects of the delivery and enrolment process felt unclear and frustrating. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide, and we will review this internally.

In relation to the LLN requirements, these have been developed in line with the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) levels applicable to the White Card course. Under the Standards for RTOs 2025, we are required to assess each student’s language, literacy, and numeracy skills prior to enrolment to ensure they can safely and effectively complete the training.

That said, we do understand your concerns and appreciate your feedback.

Regarding your refunds for the accidental payments - I've checked and those have already been refunded last week, they may be with bank processing (Usually takes a few days to reflect in your account)

Teacher is good. Admin not so good

Teacher is good. Open communication in classroom. The admin service is pretty disorganised though. They need to reach out to students much more to ensure all is in line for the students to receive their confirmations of education. I feel that, despite passing the course, I had to be active asking Eclipse admin to actually receive the White Card.

Thank you for your feedback and for your comments about the trainer - we’re glad to hear you had a positive classroom experience and found the communication open and helpful.

After looking into your enrolment following your review, I wanted to clarify the timeline from our side. You attended the course on 2 February, and your class was processed within one business day. On 3 February we emailed to request the remaining enrolment details, including your USI and other required information, as your enrolment was incomplete.

Under our regulatory requirements and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines to issue a white card, we must have full enrolment details (including full name, address, date of birth, contact number, gender and USI) before we can issue a Statement of Attainment or White Card. Unfortunately, we did not receive the missing information at that time.

When you contacted us about a week later, we advised again what was required. Once the outstanding details were provided, we promptly issued your Statement of Attainment and White Card.

From an administration perspective, we processed your class within 24 hours of attendance and did everything we could to have your certification issued as soon as the mandatory information was received. That said, we do take your feedback on board and will continue working to improve our communication and processes where possible.

Trainer introduced himself saying he


Trainer introduced himself saying he was "tired - no weary, but we'll get this done anyway". He sounded burnt out.

He also spent about 10 minutes at the start rolling up his trousers and showing us his surgery scars on both legs. I thought this was highly inappropriate.

Rod is generally a very highly reviewed trainer and consistently receives positive feedback for his delivery and engagement, so I was genuinely surprised to read your comments. That said, your experience is absolutely valid and important.

In relation to the comments about him mentioning being tired, my understanding is that Rod often tries to acknowledge that many students are attending after work or as part of their job requirements and uses that as a way to relate to the group and lighten the mood. Similarly, when he referenced his surgery, his intention would have been to break the ice and create a more relaxed and comfortable learning environment. However, I completely understand that this approach will not resonate with everyone and may have come across as inappropriate to you, and for that I sincerely apologise.

I will be speaking with Rod directly and sharing this feedback so he can adjust his approach and ensure the focus remains appropriate and professional for all learners.

Thank you again for your honest feedback. It helps us refine our delivery and ensure a better experience for future students.

Slow process

Lots of messing around with people who couldn’t speak English for hour +, teacher was slow with the technology (couldn’t open links or took ages) slow process reviewing everyone one by one, stuttered on his words a lot while reading .he would disappear once we were answering online questions and finished at 6pm when it said 4pm

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that the session felt slow and frustrating for you, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

All students are required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment prior to attending. While some participants may have more limited LLN skills, they still meet the required level to undertake the course. Our trainers are expected to support those learners, and we believe every student deserves the time and respect to be given a fair opportunity to complete their training.

In relation to the trainer reviewing students one by one, this is a regulatory requirement. Assessments cannot be completed or marked as a group, as we must verify each student’s competency individually to maintain the integrity of the qualification. When it appeared the trainer had “stepped away,” he would have been in breakout rooms conducting those one-on-one assessment reviews, which is also required by our regulator.

I do apologise that the trainer experienced delays with the technology. That is not the standard we aim for, and we will address this internally as part of our continuous improvement.

Regarding the finish time, our website does note that session end times can vary depending on student progress and technical factors. For construction induction training, SafeWork requires a minimum course duration of six hours, and online delivery can sometimes extend beyond the scheduled time to ensure all regulatory requirements and individual assessments are completed.

We understand that this can be inconvenient and we will continue working on improving session flow and trainer support with technology. Thank you again for your feedback.

Mixed Experience

We had a bunch of issues around getting the kits sent out and the video training portion felt underdone. Not sure I’d use again.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m really sorry to hear that your experience didn’t run as smoothly as it should have.

For our First Aid virtual courses, each participant is normally issued their own First Aid pack, as the items inside (including the manikin and other practical equipment) are required to complete the hands-on assessment. From my investigation, your team had requested to share packs between groups. While we did our best to accommodate this, our standard booking and dispatch system is designed for one pack per student, so the shared arrangement did create a bit of messiness on both ends. That said, we do acknowledge that we could have managed that process more clearly, and we’re currently reviewing our procedures to better support group bookings that wish to share equipment in future.

The other factor that impacted delivery time was that we did not receive the agreement to the Terms and Conditions for the packs (which includes agreement to the return and care of the equipment) within the required timeframe from your team. We’re unable to dispatch packs until that agreement is received, and the delay in receiving those forms unfortunately pushed back shipping.

We appreciate you taking the time to raise this, as it helps us refine our processes and improve the experience for group and corporate bookings going forward. If you would like to discuss this further I’d be more than happy to discuss via phone or email.
