I was unsure about a few things before returning to work after my maternity leave so I contacted Edapt. Edapt were quick to respond and read the policy that my school had sent. They found useful parts in the policy that enabled me get the answers that needed. They frequently emailed and ensured that I was ok throughout. I cannot thank them enough for their support.

Union membership was getting both expensive and no longer representing my views on education. Edapt provide all the legal protection and advice I require at a better price.

Moved to Edapt because I was fed up of some of the rhetoric coming from the unions. I had never needed any help before but then something happened and I needed help. Right from the start the help and advice was top rate.

Very pleased to have the peace of mind of help and support in the event of a problem, but not be associated with a political agenda.

When I had a query/concern I raised a case . I did this on a Friday late afternoon. I was bowled over to get a response on the Saturday! Really fast and more than I expected. This was followed up by a telephone call on tge Monday. Excellent advice and superb response, can't ask for better and just what you want when you feel in need of support. Highly recommended with many thanks.

I haven’t actually needed to use edapt there but they do provide some very useful resources by email and on their website.
I’ve never been a huge fan of unions and only really joined one as I felt I needed the extra support should anything happen. Edapt is the perfect choice, no union nonsense with the same protection, plus their helpline is open for longer and more frequently than unions I have been a member of. One extra bonus, they offer a very competitive price.
I would recommend edapt to anyone looking for a union alternative.

After being with my previous teaching union the ATL which then became the NEU for over 15 years, I couldn't continue with the union due to its heavy political stance over non education issues. As a Jew I felt the union did not take issues of antisemitism seriously.
Edapt has been a blast of fresh air. It is a union which concerns itself about education and I am passionate about encouraging other members of the teaching profession to join.

An excellent, no nonsense legal support service for teachers. They don't have any political agenda, they won't send you endless paperwork in the post or emails. If you need legal support or advice, they are there for you. I wish Edapt had existed when I started my teaching career.

I have been happily subscribed to Edapt's service for a number of years. My initial reason for joining was not feeling aligned to some of the political messages being pursued by teaching unions, but I still wanted to have some form of protection in case I needed it. The fact that it was a cheaper subscription was a bonus.

However, since then I have been impressed with the professionalism and level of service that I have received since. Whilst I haven't had any 'major' issues to worry about, they have provided some good advice to a couple of minor queries as and when they have arisen which put me at ease. My case workers were clearly very knowledgeable and this gave me a sense of security and trust in the advice being given. Moreover what impressed me most was the timeliness of this support and also the follow up communication to check that everything had worked out.

I get that teaching and education will forever be a political football but for me it just seems logical to separate my professional cover and support from that, especially when the support on offer is of an excellent standard. Would recommend to all teachers who want professional cover, advice and support.

I really like the fact that Edapt is not political but focused on supporting teachers and education in general. I feel reassured that if I had any issues at work, I would be well supported.

Really pleased with my experience of Edapt. Useful articles and communication and very reasonable subscription cost compared to the cost of the union of which I used to be a member. Keep up the good work!

Excellent support without the politics of the teaching unions

Been with Edapt for 3 years and always very pleased with them. Professionally run and helpful.

Edapt have been a great so far! I have had a couple of enquiries to which they provided the best advice. They listened to my situation and took the time to research thoroughly before promptly replying back with updates.

Edapt is a great union. The weekly emails and articles are well written and informative and the team is highly responsive to any questions or queries. Luckily not had to use their services as if yet but if I do - I know from other subscribers - that it is quick and efficient.

I moved away from the main educational unions this year and chose Edapt...and have never looked back. Professional, great value for money and extremely communicative. I highly recommend Edapt to everyone reading this. Thank you!
