On July 13th I ordered a Bolsover Castle guidebook to be sent to my daughter and after I had completed the order I realised that on 12th I had purchased the newest version on our visit to the castle. So I immediately emailed to ask that they ensure to send the latest version with the walking guide at the back. I received an automated reply saying someone would respond in 3 working days. They haven't.
When they opened on the Monday I telephoned only to get an answer machine asking to leave details and someone would get back to me. They haven't.
The guidebook arrived within a few days But it was the older version, so annoying and disappointing too.
Not quite the high service we have come to expect from English Heritage. In contrast the staff in the shop at Bolsover Castle were extremely helpful.

Well packaged. Prompt delivery.

I wanted four Roman coasters
I couldn’t find them on the website
So in the end I bought something else

Lovely material and embroidery design. Just what I wanted.

Got the product I wanted (which I couldn’t get in English Heritage shops) and quick delivery. Only drawback is you have to pay for postage!

Easy to use online shopping. Good product range.
Prompt delivery of items ordered

Fantastic. From simple ordering to a speedy delivery.

A mixed order of 12 preserves and jam was handled without any problems. Each jar was individually wrapped to avoid damage. Delivery time was notified in advance. A faultless process.

I received the product that I ordered, and it was in excellent condition. Delivery was quick.

Items seem to take quite a long time to process

Superbly clear (and enticing) website, excellent VfM, clear next steps, member discount, superfast delivery, really pleasant courier who wished me well. Everything was 10/10, many thanks English Heritage.

Got what I ordered and was advised on delivery efficiently.

Super straight forward to order and pay through the website. Order arrived promptly 4 days after ordering. I had ordered bottles of wine and they arrived well packaged and protected.

Good range of products. Fairly priced.
I was told my parcel could take 5 days to arrive. It arrived in 3.

I love the taste of the All Butter Curds, there's nothing like it in the supermarkets! I have bought the Lemon Curd and Raspberry Curd a few times, this time I decided to add the Cherry Curd to my order. Looking forward to trying it.
Really easy to order and fast delivery too. Comes well packaged to prevent breakage in transit.

Very quickly processed and delivering well packaged will definitely be ordering again from you thank you

Purchased from the English Heritage shop and found the experience so easy. Found what I was after and payment process was simple. Delivered very quickly and very pleased with my purchase.

Guidebook was well packed, and arrived quickly.

I bought tickets on 17th June 2025 to visit 2 castles on the Isle of Wight next week, Yarmouth and Carisbrooke, Yarmouth was fine, Carisbrooke after I put the visiting date in reverted to the default days date, which was not apparent until AFTER I had paid.
They won't change the wrong date, even though there is NO cost to them.
I am disappointed that this 'Charity' really needs £28.10 from a 78 years old state pensioner.
Maybe the £100k+ their CEO gets isn't enough?
Calling or emailing them is an exercise in frustration and futility.
I rang Carisbrooke, nobody answered any of the 3 times, the main number advises of 'Long waits for answers to calls or emails' and then offers membership to this atrocious company.
Still no reply from Monday, to the emails sent and a further one sent to CEO Dr Nick Merriman.

Easy to see what was available, on the EH website and delivery was quick, trackable and on time.
