Motor yacht in Croatia

I have been working with Euronautic on a yacht charter, and I can honestly say the whole experience was super easy from the very beginning. We were looking for a motor yacht for a 10-day trip, and they understood exactly what we needed.

Communication was always clear, quick, and friendly, which I really appreciate when organizing a trip like this. Every question I had was answered promptly, and the whole booking process felt smooth and stress-free.

It's always nice to work with people who genuinely care and make everything simple. I would definitely recommend Euronautic to anyone looking for a professional and reliable yacht charter company. Thank you again for all your help!

Avoid this charter company!

We rented a sailing boat, but both the condition of the boat and the level of service provided fell well below basic expectations.

The boat was handed over to us with one toilet not functioning, and it remained unusable for the entire duration of the cruise. On the pickup day, the generator stopped producing electricity and was effectively handed over to us in a non-functional condition. We only discovered this after leaving the marina, as the boat had been connected to shore power during check-in.

Because of the generator failure, we had to change our planned route. The service crew next day arrived significantly later than agreed and required not one but two separate visits to resolve the issue, causing us to lose an entire day waiting for repairs. Meanwhile, the toilet was never repaired at all.

At the end of the charter, the company refused to offer any reasonable remedy or partial refund, despite the fact that we had one full day with a non-functional generator and seven days with a non-functional toilet. In addition, the boat was missing a first aid kit and had a broken flashlight, which raises further concerns about maintenance and safety checks.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and not acceptable for a charter boat that should have been properly inspected and fully functional before handover.

Euronautic - Never again!

We have chartered many sailboats at the same age and price-point in Croatia and Greece over the last 10 years. Our charter with Euronautic Charter was the worst kept boat and service we have received so-far during our many trips. Mainly due to the skills and adaptability of the crew onboard, we were able to still have a good 2 week vacation in Croatia.

Office execution and efficiency: When arriving at the marine we had a 1 hour wait to enter the office to get signed in. A line formed outside the office and we were number 4 in line, despite there being 3 office people handling the sign-in process. The process was painfully slow even though we had prepared all documents, crewlists and payment details ahead of time. Similarly at the end of the charter we had roughly a 45min wait, as the office was handling a sign-in for the next day and one person was watching videos at one of the desks. Only as the queue grew to 10 people waiting, the 3rd desk was opened. The sign-out and return of deposit only took 5 mins when we finally reached the person, and only this long because they were trying to help the other desks while handling our case.

Boat Check-in Check-out: We got a boat with several functional and safety issues. Some of these were reported during check-in and some were reported during the week. Many of the issues could have been fixed before the charter. To mention a few critical ones out of a long list:
- Water level indicator not working - stuck at 0
- Waste level and pump working intermittently
- Bow Head stuck at direct discharge
- Doors and locks on head were broken
- Step to cabin was loose and almost came off during the charter - risk of falling
- Anchor windlass remote cable broken, but was replaced during the trip after 2 days of talks.
- Flashlight and Binoculars were broken
- Unable to turn on oven
- The Outboard was missing (given to another boat) and a new one had to be delivered from another base. It arrived at 9pm, which ruined our chance of getting out on Saturday.

The service personnel did a good job answering the phone and trying to help out on most issues, but we had to adjust our trip schedule on several occasions due to the issues we found. No compensation for the issues were offered.
A full list of issues were provided to the company at the end of the charter in order for them to fix the most critical ones before the next charter.

Boat Apperance and Value: The boat was dirty when we got it - the floor was sticky, the pan in the oven dirty from old food and there was mold on the window sill in the cabin. This was mentioned to the checkin personnel, but no additional cleaning were offered. Officially you are supposed to report such issue to the office, but given the waiting time mentioned above, we clean the boat our selves. In our opinion a charter company should not rely on guests to report the cleaning status, but provide a properly cleaned boat instead. This along with the many other issues on the boat shows a lack of attention to detail and respect to the charter guests.
The boat had several non-critical issues on top of the critical issues reported above - We have chartered many boats in Croatia and Greece at similar age and price, and this was one of the worst kept. Charter boats have a hard life, but this clearly showed lack of general maintenance and TLC between charter trips. As mentioned many of the issues could have been fixed before the charter, had the charter company wanted.
In addition the company charges for services which are normally included wo. cost. Towels had to be rented at the office (another 30min wait & EUR 50) and early check-in also costs a fee. For a two week charter we received only one set of linen, where normally we get 2 sets.

Overall: The Euronautic Charter company appear to us as having too many boats for the personnel at hand, and are not able to keep up with proper maintenance and service to the guests. It is unclear if this is a cost, capacity or competence issue. On the docks we heard several other charter guests complaining about broken items on the boats (motor, outboard, pumps, sailing rig etc.) as well as not receiving services which they had ordered.

We will not be chartering with Euronautic Charter again. This review will be posted on Trustpilot, Google and with Euronautic Charter.

Yacht in einem katastrophalen Zustand

Die Yacht (MerryFischer 795) hat durchgehend nach Benzin gerochen. In den SchlafrÀumen war der Geruch teilweise nicht zu ertragen und verursachte Kopfschmerzen. Das Boot war schlecht gesÀubert (KÌhlschrank sehr dreckig und auf den SchrÀnken konnte man vor lauter Staub mit den Fingern schreiben).
Linker Scheibenwischer funktionierte gar nicht - Wischerblatt kaputt. Scheibenwasser war nicht aufgefÃŒllt.
Ein notwendiges Kissen fÃŒr die ZwischenrÀume in der Hauptkabine war nicht eingelegt, bevor die Reinigungsfachkraft das Bett bezogen hat. Dadurch war zwischen den 2 Teilmatratzen eine 20cm große LÃŒcke und man lag mit der HÃŒfte auf blankes Holz. Ein Schlafen war dort nicht möglich - RÃŒckenschmerzen. Wir haben dann zu zweit oben auf der Notcouch (100 cm) ÃŒbernachtet. Dieses Kissen wurde dann am Ende der Fahrt beim Check-Out in der anderen Kabine in der hintersten Ecke gefunden.
Tiefenmesser funktionierte nicht und auch die Geschwindigkeitsanzeige zeigte hÀufig falsche Geschwindigkeiten an.
Einige Rasten von Zwischenelementen waren abgebrochen. So konnten z.B. LiegeflÀchen im Heck nicht genutzt werden.
An vielen Gardinen fehlten die Befestigungslaschen. Um Abzudunkeln mussten diese mit WÀscheklammern befestigt werden.
Unterhalb der Treppe kam eine ölige FlÌssigkeit raus - Rutschgefahr und beruhigt hat einen sowas natÌrlich auch nicht.

Alles in allem ein katastrophaler Zustand.
Eine Nachbesserung wurde nicht angeboten. Am letzten Tag, als wir frÌhzeitig unsere Reiseabgebrochen haben, wurde uns fÌr die letzte Nacht eine neue Yacht angeboten. LÀcherlich. Da
Da hatten wir aber bereits ein Hotelzimmer gebucht, weil wir uns nach einem ordentlichen Bett gesehnt haben.

Lediglich der Early-Check-In funktionierte 100%. Konnten die Yacht bereits um 11 Uhr ÃŒbernehmen.

Bad experience from Euronautic Pirovac base

Bad experience from Pirovac base.
1. There are 15 boats in Pirovac base. They are rented at the same time Saturday. So you can expect 50-100 customers with baggage. Yet, there is only one luggage cart.
2. The staff is just rude. Your charter contract is signed with hours specified. But staff comes in the evening before contract expiry, and announces that you HAVE TO leave the boat before 8am, not 9am as contract specifies.
3. The staff in the office is unpleasant to deal with as well. Which is very surprising in a company where every transaction is in thousands of euros.
4. A lot of equipment doesn't work in the yacht. No discount for that. TV not working. Some lights not working. Some lights blinking all the time. Microwave not working. Some of radio speakers not working. Both compasses in cockpit not calibrated, with 15-20° error.
5. When something is found broken, you are charged 4-5x its value from the deposit. Our entire deposit was taken. So prepare for that. They will try to take the deposit. Make sure, you have separate, additional insurance.
