I ordered some Trees from Evergreen and they were fantastic great size good quality Trees great service from the delivery drivers as well

Quality of trees or products is good, but if you order an incorrect product they do not help in exchange/cancel order. We order an incorrect tree, a day after the order we told them to exchange it with another tree, no email responsed, the call centre said they cant issue exchange.

Ordered 5 trees. 3 turned up. Did not meet specifications. Delivered wrong day and no notification. VCAT Hearing. No Show. VCAT Court Order to Pay -Ignored. If you want to purchase from these people. Credit card only. Dont be surprised by the poor quality of service and trees.

If incompetence and indifference were a business model, this company would be leading the market. My experience was a costly lesson in why reviews matter. If you are lucky enough to read the reviews before you purchase anything you might just save yourself from the headache of dealing with a scam of an organisation who think they are above Australian Consumer Law. Money paid, goods not delivered, refund refusal, lies , lies and more lies.

Extremely disappointing experience with Evergreen Trees Direct from start to finish.

My partner surprised me with ordering a tree from Evergreen Trees, he told me the day after the order was placed. When I realized the wrong tree had been ordered and contacted the company 2 days after the order was placed and long BEFORE delivery to try to find a reasonable solution. We weren’t asking them to simply refund us or absorb the costs. I offered to pay reasonable additional freight/handling costs to swap it for the correct tree. Despite this, there was absolutely no flexibility or willingness to work with us.

To make matters worse, the tree has now been delivered and was literally just left sitting in our front yard at 6am. No one called to say they were outside nothing just left it in front of my door in the middle of the walkway

For a business selling large, expensive living products, I expected a much higher level of communication, customer service and care around delivery, I explained to them that the tree is a focal point of my house and could be seen from every point inside as I have an atrium in the middle of my house surrounded by glass doors

I completely accept that the original ordering mistake was ours, but the way a business handles a problem says a lot about its customer service. We tried repeatedly to find a reasonable solution and were prepared to pay the additional costs involved, but were met with a flat refusal.

After the entire experience, I couldn’t recommend Evergreen Trees Direct. Very disappointing.

I ordered a 40cm 'silver princess'. When the plant arrived, it had a totally different leaf to the pictures. I queried with the company, but they assured me it was the correct tree, that the leaves would change shape as it matured. I then planted the tree - it was essentially a sapling, with no established roots at all. Unsurprisingly when planted it went into shock and died. I let the company know and they offered a replacement 'at a discounted price'. Why would I spend more money on a bad product? A complete waste of $450. I do not recommend this company at all.

Once you've paid = crickets

I had to hound and hound via phone calls and email to get my plants.

They would of run with the money if I didn't.

Please don't buy from a business that doesn't care about business.

They have fancy advertising to reel you in, don't be fooled read the comments.

They also don't have google reviews, there is a reason

I purchased two 100L olive trees from Evergreen Trees Direct in February 2026. Before purchasing, I called to confirm the height and shape, as the website lacked this information. What arrived was not what I was told I was buying or even close to the website imagery. After my complaint, they updated the website, so they know they are in the wrong.

What has disappointed me most is the complete inability to address it. Despite multiple emails and phone calls since late February, and promises of a callback that never came, I have received no response from this business whatsoever.

I have since been left with no choice but to lodge formal complaints with Consumer Affairs Victoria and my bank.

For a business selling living trees at this price point, the lack of basic customer care has been genuinely surprising. I hope others have a better experience than I did but by the reivews, I dont think that will be the case.

They have ZERO communication skills.
After months of trying to contact them and find out where all my trees were I get a random call saying the truck is at my house. After a brief chat with the driver he said that "evergreen trees have terrible communication but you will eventually get all of your trees" and that he would unload the trees for me (partial order) once I got home I took photos and inventory of missing and unlabelled trees and emailed asking for an update.

After months again of hounding them they confirmed the same gum tree was 2 different trees via a photo I send them.

they have also blocked my social media account for replying to someone asking if they ship to my state in which I said their website says 14 days but its been 3 month so far and still no delivery dat.

long story short they cracked the shits and refunded me a missing mature tree and not the shipping costs

I ordered and paid for a couple of trees on 24-Sep-2025. Its now 28-Nov-2025 (2 months later) and I've had no communication as to where my trees are.
I have emails and called the business multiple times and no one had bothered to respond. When I called, I was told the sales person would call me back with 24 hours, however it never happened.
Instead, they keep sending me marketing emails trying to sell me more trees!
If this is not a scam website, then the business is completely incompetent. Avoid it.

Very disappointed and very disheartened by my experience with Evergreen Trees Direct.
We did a lot of research before buying our trees, and their marketing and website looked excellent, so we genuinely believed we would receive quality products. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

We ordered three Spartan trees, and all three arrived in poor condition. When we contacted Luke (the owner), we were told the trees were simply dehydrated. We planted them with hope of rehabilitating them, but they have since deteriorated significantly and are now showing signs of a pest issue.

We have reached out to Luke multiple times via email and phone and have been completely ignored. No follow-up, no support, and no accountability.

Based on our experience, I strongly recommend: do not buy from this company.

The trees I received are less than half the size of the photos online. I raised this issue and they said there are natural variations and refused to replace or partial refund. These were not cheap trees. They should include realistic products photos instead of disclaimers about variation in the fine print.
