My experience at the "Rjukan Universe" was phenomenal! Jørn was an exeptional guide and instructor with enormous experience and unique hospitality skills. Rjukan truly is a magnificent ice climbing destination and Jørn made sure that I could experience all the possibilities in terms of route difficulty and variety. He has greatly expanded what I thought ice climbing could be and I am definately going back first chance I get.

I've used explore-share a few times now and it has always been a great way for me to connect with guides while traveling.

Nicolas was a fantastic guide and knew the mountain and conditions like the back of his hand. He knew exactly when to go for it on the off-piste adventure, checking the snow regularly. He was very pleasant, friendly, put me at ease and inspired confidence as I was quite nervous due to it being my first off-piste experience. We had an epic day that was the highlight of our holiday. Can't thank him enough.

I have used Explore-share a few times to find a guided trip when travelling solo. They carry a very wide range of options which is both inspiring and great for a solo traveller like me looking for a group to join. They are very professional in their approach and also actively seek feedback after the trip. I cannot fault them and would not hesitate to use them again.

The guide was amazing! As well as the course he gave us lots of local history. The guide’s equipment was top notch and saved me having to take my own. 5*+

We were very lucky to get Patrick Carminati to be our guide as we were very happy with his services.

He was very kind and patient to explain the steps and prepared us very well for the ice climbing course. We felt very safe throughout the journey and very well taken care of. He was also very knowledgeable and experienced as he taught us the skills for ice climbing.

We also appreciate the transparency from his side with the sub-optimal conditions with the thick snow covering the waterfalls and are grateful that he proceeded with the course anyway.

It was an overall very good experience and I’d highly recommend to anyone out there.

Unfortunately the guide was late to arrive but did stay on a little longer to make up the 1/2 day.

Rafael is the consummate professional!! An absolutely brilliant guide.
He is patient, professional and I felt safe and confident in his presence.
I also gained insights and tips to improve my climbing. Rafael has climbed the highest peaks in the world and imparted his vast knowledge, which was always engaging conversation at meals.
I will actively seek out his expeditions in the future.
On Cotopaxi and Chimborazo his two colleagues, Pavo and Ivan were also excellent competent climbers, who ensured that we got down safely.

Katsuhiro is a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. He knew where we could get some good ski lines even though conditions were not awesome.
I could see he was
Constantly evaluating conditions and snow and safety along the way.
He’s been doing this for over 20 years. He knows Hokkaido.
If you want to support local guides and just get out and ski this is the way to go!

The trip was amazing. The park is marvelous and the guide took us on a route away from the ordinary, exactly how we had hoped. His expertise in the mountains was very reassuring. Everything was taken care of, all we needed was our personal belongings and our motivation. A great experience!

This is the second time I booked with Explore-Share, and I would recommend it to everyone who is looking for any outdoor activity from a half day to full week!

AVOID! AVOID!! My trekking holiday was doomed from the start. Explore-Share’s “itinerary” was not what was provided. Firstly I was advised in the week before departure that airport pick up was not available as promised, so I had to throw away my hotel booking close to the airport. Then a relaxed day 4 summit on Mt.Kenya was reduced to a 30min hike on day 1 and summiting on day 3 leaving me at risk of insufficient acclimatisation and altitude sickness. Most annoying was that “inclusive” accommodation and meals (according to Explore-Share) turned out to mean the local operator would try to make me pay again for almost everything (except on the mountain). I was even coerced into lending over $700 to the local operator because quote “the money has not come through yet” (from Explore-Share). I only got the last refund for all this several weeks after getting home - and still lost money because of bank charges which Explore-Share did not pay. I HAVE FELT LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO RIP ME OFF THE WHOLE TIME AND IT IS SO ANNOYING!!

- la guida (non ho avuto evidenze che fosse una guida certificata) non ha fatto il check dell'artva e dell'attrezzatura;
- comunicazione frettolosa e imprecisa.
Mi dispiace ma non mi sento di consigliare l'utilizzo del servizio.

Richard is an exceptional mountain guide. He led me up Tryfan in full winter conditions, with snow and ice from start to finish. His calm, positive and reassuring approach made a challenging day feel both safe and enjoyable. His depth of knowledge, judgement and capability were outstanding, and his encouragement made all the difference on a tough ascent. I would highly recommend Richard to anyone looking for a memorable mountain adventure.

Dani is a wonderful guide. High, high level. I couldn’t recommend him more after 4 days of hiking and camping together. Excellent English. Amazing trek!

I enjoyed very much both the main guide Alex Salazar and the additional guide Juan Cruz, whom we hired for additional support during the climb. They have been both very supportive and made the entire experience really worthwhile. I totally recommend the people from Pared Sur and Andean Raju Experience for any climb on Aconcagua or any other mountain for that matter.

We had a fantastic experience with Carlos on a nine-day trekking trip in Torres del Paine, combining the O-Circuit and the Oggioni Pass. Carlos is extremely experienced and deeply knowledgeable about the area, and he and his team went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. Patagonia is incredibly beautiful, and this route showcased a stunning variety of landscapes and natural wonders. We can’t recommend this experience highly enough.
