Hannah Carter looked after us incredibly well. She crossed all of the Is and dotted all of the Ts, and our conveyancing process was extremely complex and arduous. I would comfortably recommend her to anybody.

The service was also very affordable, this does come with the downside that your case file is strictly treated in queue order based on their inbox, so bare that in mind if time is of the essence.

Recently bought my first home and Fisher Jones Greenwood have been very help, I have to say also Evie and Lorraine both helped massively and I appreciate their help very much. Everyone was friendly approachable and overall a great experience would highly recommend. Always kept up to date and even when ringing the office someone was always able to help!

FJG were extremely helpful in guiding us to draw up our wills. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have been clients of Stead and Stead for many years. However, we did not receive any notification that the company was changing its name. I only became aware of the change when I contacted the firm to seek advice.

I was particularly concerned because Stead and Stead held both my husband’s and my Wills. When I asked whether the firm still held our Wills, I was told that they “probably” did. As a paying client, I found this response extremely alarming and, in my view, not the level of reassurance or professionalism I would expect from a firm of solicitors.

I was eventually able to confirm that our Wills had been transferred to the new company. However, when I subsequently enquired about obtaining further legal advice and potentially updating my Will, I found the response to be rather short and unhelpful. I was also disappointed by the cost quoted for the advice.

Having been a client for many years, I expected clearer communication, reassurance regarding the safe custody of our important legal documents, and a more helpful approach when seeking further advice. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me feeling disappointed and concerned about the level of service being provided.

Excellent service from Lorraine, Arran, Siobhan and the entire team throughout our property purchase. They were professional, responsive, and kept us informed at every stage of the process. Everything was handled smoothly, making what could have been a stressful experience much easier. Thank you for all your support—I would happily recommend your services to anyone buying a property.

I used this company two years ago (2024) to transfer the deeds of my house within a strict timeline set in a court order at the end of a long divorce. Despite assurance of capability, they failed to work within the timescale given. Their communication was awful and some staff were rude and unhelpful. The list is a long one, but to cut it short, I submitted a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. What I have now discovered is the service a solicitor has to legally provide is ‘reasonable’ NOT ‘good’ or ‘exceptional’ just ‘reasonable’. This means an email or a call doesn’t have to be responded to for 5 working days! Mistakes ARE allowed as it’s deemed ’human Error’. I waited two years for the Legal Ombudsman to tell me that they understood all of my complaints against FJG, but as their service ticked the box of being ‘reasonable’ there wasn’t a lot to be done. So, if you are in the process of finding a solicitor for your conveyancing needs, please do your research and bear in mind their service doesn’t have to be good, just reasonable! As for FJG, I’ve since learned that the solicitor I used has now left the company, so maybe they have improved…

Sarah and Claire were very professional but down to earth, explaining things in everyday terms, which made life easy.

Not very helpful at all. Calls were rejected and not returned, asked to speak to litigation department never returned call. Needed help when my step father passed and his family were threatening me,they didn't give any help,refused to give me a copy of my mother's will or open my step fathers will. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Amy was great. Responsive to our communication. Have moved many times and she was one of the best for efficiency and communication. Unfortunately couldn’t say the same for our purchasers solicitor @ Thomson Smith and Puxon. They were dreadfully slow. Thanks Amy

I called to discuss appointing then as our Solicitor. Someone took my number and said I'd receive a callback that day. That was Tuesday and now we are Thursday and I've not had a callback.
Not the best service and does not make me feel like they are a firm of Solicitors we'd use.
