I used this company two years ago (2024) to transfer the deeds of my house within a strict timeline set in a court order at the end of a long divorce. Despite assurance of capability, they failed to work within the timescale given. Their communication was awful and some staff were rude and unhelpful. The list is a long one, but to cut it short, I submitted a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. What I have now discovered is the service a solicitor has to legally provide is ‘reasonable’ NOT ‘good’ or ‘exceptional’ just ‘reasonable’. This means an email or a call doesn’t have to be responded to for 5 working days! Mistakes ARE allowed as it’s deemed ’human Error’. I waited two years for the Legal Ombudsman to tell me that they understood all of my complaints against FJG, but as their service ticked the box of being ‘reasonable’ there wasn’t a lot to be done. So, if you are in the process of finding a solicitor for your conveyancing needs, please do your research and bear in mind their service doesn’t have to be good, just reasonable! As for FJG, I’ve since learned that the solicitor I used has now left the company, so maybe they have improved…

Sarah and Claire were very professional but down to earth, explaining things in everyday terms, which made life easy.

Not very helpful at all. Calls were rejected and not returned, asked to speak to litigation department never returned call. Needed help when my step father passed and his family were threatening me,they didn't give any help,refused to give me a copy of my mother's will or open my step fathers will. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Amy was great. Responsive to our communication. Have moved many times and she was one of the best for efficiency and communication. Unfortunately couldn’t say the same for our purchasers solicitor @ Thomson Smith and Puxon. They were dreadfully slow. Thanks Amy

I called to discuss appointing then as our Solicitor. Someone took my number and said I'd receive a callback that day. That was Tuesday and now we are Thursday and I've not had a callback.
Not the best service and does not make me feel like they are a firm of Solicitors we'd use.

WARNING! DO NOT USE! Hard to understand why Taylor Wimpey recommended FJG to handle New Build transactions in Suffolk. FJG is an amateur company run by INTERNS! Arran D'Cruz handled my house transaction being stationed overseas. Arran was super arrogant from the beginning and acting like he actually did not want to assist with the deal, Arran has zero understanding of international transactions, hardly returned calls or messages left to him and responded to emails only weeks after I sent them if at all. After NO COMMUNICATION for month's at all I called several other new build conveyancers to get a grip on who I am dealing with. FJG is totally unknow in the trade, except from in Sudbury! As I was too far in the process I was recommended to see if FJG was able to process the transaction in full. Near the end - even when I received an email asking if I was okay with completing and replying "yes", I received an email stating "we are busy and will deal with you when we have time..." ! If you are buying a house from overseas or from anywhere else for that matter, STAY AWAY FROM FJG. FJG might be able a local transaction in Sudbury - that's it.

Overall the communication was great, the several hurdles and hitches were managed well. It’s a stressful process, but my designated case manager was on hand at all times to ensure progress and avoid unnecessary delays.
