During this time, we’ve encountered many situations that are unique to members of HM Forces, and we’ve worked hard with a number of underwriters to create policies that protect our customers’ interests.

A fair deal
I was going to change insurance providers because I found a cheaper deal elsewhere. When I told Forces Insurance, they found me a better deal considering both price and what is included, so I was happy to accept and I am staying with them.

Excellent - NCB over 2yrs old - no problem!
Loved it - just what we needed after returning from overseas after more than 2 yrs - honoured our NCB and provided a friendly, helpful and competitive service. After hours of painful searching elsewhere I wish I'd gone here first! One improvement? Please open on a Saturday.

I am so sorry that you found our service slow today when calling in regarding the renewal of your policy as we pride ourselves with normally providing an outstanding service!
I have checked our call logs and see that we were inundated with callers at the time of your call and our normal response was not good.
I've also taken the opportunity to check the premium position and see that yours has gone up £42 from the £471 you paid last year to £513 required for this year.
It is regrettable that your insurer (like all other insurers) have found it necessary to increase their premiums during the last 12 months which is due to a number of factors including an increased cost in claims and a rise in Insurance Premium Tax imposed by HM Government.
We do check all our premiums against other insurers and on this occasion we could find no other company offering a better rate.
The policy you have includes all the special features you need as a Serviceperson including full cover on base, business use for you to visit all other military bases to enable you to claim expenses back under JPA rules and FREE Roadside Assistance and Breakdown recovery.

Good BFG choice
The Forces Insurance website says they have merged with Forces Financial & another entity & the phone number takes you through to Forces Financial. Ignore them & ask to be put through to Forces Insurance - I got offered a better package (more legal cover, keycare included, lower excess) for about £100 cheaper than Forces Financial.
If you're after BFG insurance don't forget to ask for the vehicle to be specified by it VIN/chassis number on the documentation, not its VRN/plate number, otherwise the BFG office won't accept it. You'd think the insurance companies would know this by now wouldn't you, but I had to phone up & get it changed. Minor whinge - otherwise very happy.

Limited choice
Of the 2 companies made available to me, this was the cheapest (although in comparison to regular UK car insurance it is more than double in cost!). The telesales person was polite, helpful and efficient and I was able to arrange suitable cover in no time at all.

A fine brokerage service
As per title. Proactive and helpful brokers, who actually offer advice where pertinent and try to ease the admin burden of current legislation and process.
I've been with them for 4 renewals now.
