I feel very lucky to have Rachel working alongside me as a tutor. She has such a lovely, natural way with the children she teaches and builds a great relationship with them, whether she is working with them 1:1 or as part of a group.

One of the things I really value about Rachel is that building a child’s confidence always comes first. She is calm, patient and encouraging, and makes sure children feel comfortable having a go without worrying about getting things wrong. She gets the balance of learning and fun just right, so the children are engaged and enjoying themselves while still making progress.

It’s lovely to see the relationships Rachel has built with the children she tutors and how comfortable and happy they are in her sessions. I completely trust her with the children and families I work with and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

My son, Zakariyya, was really struggling with algebra, and despite trying lots of different ways to explain it myself, nothing seemed to click. Rachel kindly offered to help, and I honestly didn’t expect such a dramatic difference after just a few sessions.

Rachel worked wonders. She is friendly, intelligent, approachable, and has a fantastic way of explaining concepts in a way that makes sense. She pitched everything perfectly, using plenty of examples, encouragement, and support throughout.

The biggest difference has been my son’s confidence. He now approaches algebra with much more self-belief and understanding. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and patient tutor.

My daughter has attended after school group tuition in year 6. This has helped her in her areas of weakness and extended her skills in other areas, and built her confidence. We have had good communication from Rachel about what was covered in the sessions. Thank you!

I reached out to Rachel in the hope she would be able to help my daughter’s confidence and to see if having some 1-1 lessons would enable her to better understand what she was being taught in school. Before I had even informed her class teacher about these extra lessons, I received a message to say that they had noticed a big improvement in her work. Rachel has tutored our 10 year old who recently got diagnosed with dyslexia since the start of the year. He finds traditional methods of learning a bit tricky at times, and Rachel is quick to change the work to suit his needs. New ways of learning spellings and reading, have given him the confidence to not only give it a go but retain the information he has learnt. He looks forward to his sessions and feels proud of what he achieves by the end of an hour.
Rachel warm and positive nature made him feel comfortable from session 1, I would highly recommend.
