Poor quality product-poor warranty support

Purchased in May 2025. Hot water thermostat stopped working 10mths after. Dealt with warranty support over the course of a month approx. who did not rectify my issue. I asked to have a supervisor call me twice, no callback. They obviously don't care about repeat business. I will never buy a Frigidaire product again. Your loss Frigidaire.

⭐ 1-Star Review – Frigidaire Canada

We purchased a brand-new Frigidaire oven in Canada, and from the very beginning it has had issues. Unfortunately, what followed has been six months of frustration, wasted time, and complete lack of accountability.

For six months, we have been trying to resolve this matter. Customer service is outsourced overseas, and every representative we speak to appears unfamiliar with the file and unable to provide real solutions. We repeatedly had to re-explain the same issue over and over again.

We waited three months for a technician appointment that never materialized. After calling again, we were told someone would come on January 27. No one showed up. No call. No notice. Nothing.

This is a vacation property located five hours away from our primary residence. We had to travel specifically for this service appointment — which never happened. The inconvenience and cost to us has been significant.

We requested either a replacement unit or a refund. This was immediately dismissed without consideration. We asked to speak to a supervisor three separate times and were told each time that a supervisor would call us back. No one ever did.

The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer care is unacceptable for a major appliance brand.

Consumers in Canada should be extremely cautious when purchasing from Frigidaire. If something goes wrong, do not expect timely support or proper follow-up.

Don’t waste your money unless you like mediocrity

Ok all round. But OK isn’t what you want when you buy a new appliance.

I bought a new Frigidaire electric range in November as my 40 year old GE-Westinghouse was dying & doing scary things & I’d had an oven fire from the element cratering so wasn’t interested in fixing it.

Should have.
This range was designed by someone who has never cooked. The stovetop takes forever to heat up except if you use max all the time - “medium” doesn’t seem to engage whatever it is that causes the element to heat . The oven doesn’t like being on any temperature other than 350.

This range is the definition of ORDINARY and MEDIOCRE. Not enough reason to call to complain, nothing wrong enough to ask for service. Dreading that the life expectancy is short & I will have to replace a mediocre waste of money with another mediocre waste of money.

Doesn’t anyone have the pride to build stuff that lasts anymore? Of course not 
 gotta satisfy the bottom line. Well, bottom line : I’m never buying another Frigidaire product! So there!

And who ever thought up ceramic stovetops has a screw loose. They’re shitty. They get scratched easily. They look dirty with the least amount of dirt possible. You have to buy a special product to clean them or they look like crap. Stupid idea that houses sub-par heating elements that have to noisily cycle on and off the entire time you’re cooking? Why? My old stove was quiet and did the job, and I miss it SO MUCH.

Faulty brand new appliance & terrible customer service

Recently purchased 3 Frigidaire appliances. Installed early Nov 2025. Oven did not work properly. Contacted Frigidaire who arranged to have local service Technician come out on Nov 10/25. He determined what issue was, contacted Frigidaire who authorized work & said they would have parts area contact technician with parts order number. It is now Dec 10/25 & the local technician has still not heard from Frigidaire with the part number.I have personally contacted Frigidaire to see if they could get the part number - but to no avail. The first call was horrific. The agent said I would just have to wait, and when I asked to speak with a manager he said no that was not possible & then the call was ‘disconnected’. On a second call, the agent Nina appeared much more client focused & promised to take personal responsibility in getting the issue resolved. I also spoke with a supervisor named Faye who also assured me that she would ensure the part number would be provided to the local technician. That was a week ago, and with Christmas dinner getting rapidly closer, I contacted the local technician today Dec 10th - and they had still not heard from the parts person. So I called Frigidaire again - and was referred to an escalation team member named Rashid who again said he would take responsibility for getting this resolved - while I am hopeful - I would not bet on this happening. I am a life long a Frigidaire client so didn’t do much research on them & did not consider other brands. Due to this situation, I have since done some research & was shocked to see ALL the negative reviews many of which stemmed from trying to get issues resolved thru their clearly poorly run ‘customer service telephone operations’
I will come back and provide an update. In response to a previous review I posted re this - Frigidaire responded that I should contact their customer service line for assistance in getting this resolved. And guess what - the phone number they suggested I call is the same number that I have contacted 3 times to no avail. Clearly Frigidaire doesn’t really care about resolving client issues despite them all saying ‘I will take personal ownership of getting this resolved for you’.
Do yourself a favour avoid Frigidaire.
Update on Dec 12/25. The promised update from Rashid of Frigidaire escalation team was not provided on Dec 11th as promised. Shame on Frigidaire.
In the event that Frigidaire responds to this review rather than saying ‘how sorry we are’ & suggesting I call their customer support line - which is the same phone # which I have I used & not received any assistance as noted above.

FRIGIDAIRE- the first of many ‘tickets’ your support line has issued re this ongoing situation is: #1005232540 (confirmed). So if you are at all interested in helping resolve this - rather than your stock answer of ‘please contact our (lame) customer support line’ -
starting with this ticket number would allow you to get the full details, including my contact number.
Stay tuned readers I will continue to provide updates on this & other sites.
Jan 16/26 Update. Still no resolution. No action by Frigidaire. Also disappointed with salesman Randy G from Power Center in Thunder Bay ON who has not been able to resolve the issue. Current status is I have a brand new defy Frigidaire gas range purchased early Nov 2025 that I cannot use.
Do not buy Frigidaire/Electrolux appliances & do not shop at Power Center Thunder Bay On. Salesperson Rand G.
