Excellent - I have dealt with FS multiple times, they are thorough , have strong guidelines they follow to protect investors and lend responsibly but are commercially aware and work to find a good solution for borrowers. I would rather pay a higher rate to use them than pay a lower rate to bang my head against walls with traditional lenders / banks.

Been with them over a year 400K+ invested overall no problems Secondary Marked gets clogged up sometime. Perhaps allowing bigger discounts would alleviate the issues and I would then give Five Stars. Summary good job so far some room for improvement . Thanks for good communication and customer service.

Imagine you have put some of your hard-earned money in a loan with FS. Wait 6 months (interest is paid upon return of capital). 19 days after the repayment date (no previous updates) you are told the borrower is dead. You are advised they are awaiting confirmation and contact from the executor of the estate. Unfortunate, but so far so good, you are assured FS still has 1st charge over the property. 24 days later you are told the previous update was incorrect, the borrower has a similar name with someone else. You learn that the wrong information was provided by a third party!!!! (I got so curious as to who's the third party) Now the borrower was in touch claiming readiness to renew the loan. Wasn't it funny and amusing you would say? No, not funny for a financial website, not funny if it's your money. But it's ok with FS.

With them for 18 months, I have done plenty of due diligence, so far so good. One loan unredeemed, but good security. Just make sure you understand the risks and do plenty of your own investigating!! Go in blind and you could struggle

Review applies to live online support. I do not have any experience yet of investing with FS. will come back and review again when I have this experience. A couple of the people at FS have given me first class support in setting up my account and IFISA. I will be investing in the new tax year.

Some loans are 2 years overdue and FundingSecure does not seem to be able to do anything or they have no sense of urgency because it is not their money that is at risk. 100% of my invested capital are Unredeemed/Overdue but FundingSecure has labelled Business Centre in Liverpool as Loan Active even though it is 317 days overdue and FundingSecure has labelled Land in Rishton as Loan being renewed which has been like that for 566 days.

FundingSecure have also deleted Wind Turbine from the list

The comment below from Property Develop says it all really. If this is true the FundingSecure is a crook/joke.

How do you explain how you are so easygoing with the investors capital? Now you have learnt that the letter from Dubai is fake you are playing with the investors money for another month.

I don't even know where to start.

I can only suggest that potential lenders google "the independent P2P forum" and join said forum and then look at the fundingsecure board.

Then search Whitehaven loan, wind turbine and best of all, power boat which is currently being sponsored by Jaguar despite this borrower simply refusing to pay back one penny to the peasants that sponsored the boat and Fundingsecure have been as weak as ever.

There is no excuse here, funding secure. You are reckless with lender funds and weak in attempting to recover them even when major car manufacturers are clearly handing over fortunes.

I have been investing here for rather more than 2 and a half years, I have also been investing with many other P2P sites for over 5 years.

All loans at FS are supposedly due to repay after 180 days, however, I have 9 loans that are still outstanding after over 600 days. Because of the way that FS works that means that there has been no return of capital or interest on these 9 loans since I invested over 18 months ago.

Some of the updates on overdue loans posted by FS stretch credulity.

This platform is only for the adventurous and experienced investor.

Edit (23-Feb-18): As promised, one of my long outstanding loans (the smallest) was repaid. I now have "only" twelve "6 month" loans that have been running for over 360 days one of which is about to click over to 2 years.

Edit (29-Jun-18): Very little has changed. The longest 180 day loan is now 854 days i.e. 1 year and 10 months overdue. On one of the loans from 2016 the update today was "Ongoing contact with borrower- still awaiting specific timing to complete the refinance."

Edit (1-May-19): Now 14 loans more than 6 months late, the oldest a few months short of 3 years overdue with the most recent update being 4 months ago "seeking legal advice". Downgraded to 1 star due to very poor recovery performance.

Excellent service and great people - very helpful and competitive

I was looking for somewhere to invest what was left of my much depleted savings after the financial crash and discovered peer 2 peer lending, and Funding Secure. I liked the idea of the tax free IFISA and the interest rate being significantly higher than conventional savings offer so I cautiously started with £25 then £50 investments and have now moved on to higher amounts. So, study their form - look at the very low number of loans that have defaulted - start small and build confidence and experience as you start to see your investments grow significantly.

From the moment I approached Funding Secure, I was impressed with their efficiency and proffesionalsm. So often with financial services, delays seem to add on to delays and it can become an off- putting process.

I was especially happy with the appraiser assigned to me, Tony Lambert. Tony was quick to come back to me, with all my queries and kept everything on schedule. I can wholeheartiny recomend Funding Secure for bridging.

Funding Secure is for the experienced investor, as some selectivity may be required to hopefully avoid loans that may result in a loss. Loan information can be somewhat misleading at times, and loan information updates of problem loans can be very poor. Invest with caution. Many investors do well here, but some do not. Personally I await the outcome of unredeemed/defaulted loans to know how I have done, and am making no new investments meanwhile.

Great diversity and return. I love Funding Secure. I haven't had any problem in two years of operation. Lots of diversity in loans and return.

Just a small disadvantage for foreigners: they don't work with Transferwise.

At first it sounded almost too good to be true. But as I couldn't find anything actually wrong with it, I started small and sceptical with a little money to test it out. All went well. The announcement that a IFSA was in the pipeline further convinced me that FS was here to stay and grow. So now my immediate family have significant funds invested in FS.

Unfortunately, it is a "holiday period and investors are hungry, so it is on a first come first served basis".(what customer relations say)
This is all very well but for the last 5 available investments, I have been unable to invest as the browser just rotates even when logged onto the site, I am therefore unable to invest.
I have an IFISA so my question FS is how can I use up some of my allowance if I can't invest?
So how then can I transfer my IFISA to another platform where I can invest?
The site has been OK up to now but this is just ridiculous

Loans are during the working day hours. I.e. you cannot be working.
no automatic investment into loans
Note defaults will take along time to finalise but this is the nature of the loans not Funding Secure.

This is a great company. Extremely honest and fair. Very quick turnaround - rates are excellent. Highly recommended.
