I bough the membership for my child for Christmas. After the 2 weeks free trial I was charged with no access to videos. I emailed the support team and they replied after 10-13 hours. Emails back and forth and still no solution. So annoying and ignorant. I don’t recommend.

If I could rate this any lower, I would. I was also a anime lab user, I used animelab because when I was first looking into the possible streaming services, funimation was the absolute lowest of the low and had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. When animelab was just absorbed into funimation without any of its superior features, I lost complete faith in the streaming service.

Poorly optimised, not intuitive and buggy as hell. Lacks rudimental features like bing able to skip intro's, will queue random shows up next and is extremely slow. They got rid of the Animelab app (which worked far more efficiently) for this??

I had better experience on pirating sites than on this platform.

Where do I start..
I got a subscription where I pay 8,99 USD and get 3 Months Premium and let's just say that I would be better off spending that money to 9ani** as a donation than spending it to watch the anime legally.
I mean WTH?
They treat their customers like dogs, giving them some grocery store food and expecting them to love it.
I never seen such an high amount of BS and censorship in my life.
First off, their site looks worse than the online ordering homepage of my favorite fast food restaurant in my city.
I found it had to navigate, the loading times (even with adblocker enabled) were terrible despite having stable 1Gbps download and 380mbps upload speeds. And it's not caused by my router. I was connected via Ethernet cable the whole time.
Also a lot of the content was not available in my country. I had to use a private VPN server in order to access that content.
The worst of all is that some anime seem to use different scripts for the dubbing.
I'm not the best when it comes to Japanese language ( I can order stuff, introduce myself, rent something and somewhat speak with other people in Japan) but I can definitely say they're changing a lot of stuff in comparison to the original JP releases.
If I wouldn't speak Japanese, I wouldn't notice that but since I do speak that language, I found it very irritating to listen to Funimations own English dubs which seem to be completely out of place. I guess they would also replace some of the lines if I would watch their releases in German, Italian, Bulgarian or Español languages.

In the end it's been almost 3 months of having a subscription on their platform and today I'll cancel my subscription there. Never ever I'll visit them again. Even if they offer a subscription for 0.99$ per Month.
In fact. I'm so upset that I will be switching back to not so official sites like 9ani** and watch everything there and also if I feel the need to, I'll be buying the physical anime from Amazon JP, rip them to my laptop and apply the fan subtitles on the free and open source program called VLC Player.

When we're speaking about physical stuff. shop. funimation com is also very overpriced. I understand the costs for licensing etc. but on Amazon JP I can buy almost every DVD/BD/Collector Edition box way cheaper on Amazon than in their shop and I'll only pay 10$ extra for shipping to my country.

In the end I can only say, if you value your money, get a VPN subscription at providers like IPVanish and watch the anime from the "unofficial" streaming platforms. If you don't mind the extra work when it comes to physical media, check for your local for 3rd party import sites or order them straight from Amazon Japan.

For me, I had the best experience with nin-nin-game importer. Fast shipping and they even send the package to the hotel where I was staying at.

I enjoy most of the shows they have, but the buffering every 5 min or so is really annoying. I paid for the premium service, so I expect a better viewing experience.

Good selection of content but the buffering is just ridiculous. The first 2 minutes of content buffered 6 times with at least 20 seconds and leaving it to que up dose not help. I can stream 4k content from youtube with no buffering so it is not on my end.

Would give 0 stars my account got stolen and I've sent my id my card used for the account and its previous email. still being charged and customer service has done nothing and has barely reponded.

Bought out anime lab, then butchered it. New site that were forced to use is garbage.

it buffers when you have insane internet. you get a smoother experience using dodgy sites. which is sad.

The Animelab to Funimation switch is horrible. Most of the shows I watch are now subscriber only(they were previously free on Animelab with 1 ad at the start and a couple spread throughout). Now they force you to pay to any interesting shows

So they've been talking out funds for an account I don't have . When contacted they haven't even replied. Almost a year. Can't find out even how to cancel as I have no access to this account. Told them with no response.

My daughter has ordered something from the Funimation store. She placed it almost two weeks ago and it's in limbo somewhere. Funimation says that it has shipped on December 7th and USPS tracking is saying that the package will be updated once the package is delivered to USPS. It is now the 14th...I would suggest anyone ordering from the Funimation store to order now and maybe you will get it some time next year.

Messes up constantly can't even make payments

When you pay for a video on demand service, you expect at least that it does not lag half of the time you watch a video

As someone who occasionally watches anime, I don't mind not subscribing for the bells and whistles. My issue comes from the player that Funimation uses, in that it is hot garbage. Files freezing "loading" because a piece of the file didn't load properly, which means I have to reload, only for it to happen again. Some series it happened once a file or so, and others it was multiple times per file. Definitely not thinking about upgrading.

Please save your money, this site is not worth the servers it uses.

It's actually become even worse since I last subbed, don't honestly think it was possible.

Please use any other anime site other than this but most of all. Save your money and never ever pay for this service.

They bought animelab and so I ended up there. Website is rubbish, they have way fewer genre tags, it is less user friendly, no data such as list and watched was ported over to the site. So many anime are either entirely locked or have the final few episodes locked so you can't finish the series. Honestly I'm going back to illegally streaming instead. My blood is boiling rn! Why ruin animelab it was fine!! I am yet to find anyone who has been happy about the merge. I HATE FUNIMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does the site have to be an absolute train wreck? It's pointlessly cluttered and hard as hell to navigate.

Endless buffering between 2-3 seconds of anime and ads...

I downloaded this app to watch seasons 2-4 of a show I started watching on Netflix but only had access to season 1..

5 ads, followed by 2 seconds of the episode then the same 5 ads again, then buffering for over 20 mins..!
Restart the app to have the same again...

So far to watch a 20 min episode has taken well over an hour and I'm not even 5 mins into it..!

Worst streaming service running without a doubt...

So glad I didn't pay for the premium service now...

This app is absolutely horrible I went into funimation after the merge and it is horrible they have little anime it’s premium is worthless and they ruined anime lab wich had a better layout and better anime plus better deals I think funimation is just buying more streaming services so they can bump of the competition I wish I could rate this thing zero. F you funimation
