The variety of anime is overall pretty good, but the issue comes with ads. Like I watch more ads then the anime itself. At the bottom when the ads play there is a time and amount of ads which is usually 5. This would be fine if most of the time each ad played wasn’t A MINUTE AND A HALF LONG I mean what the heck! There are three of these totaling to roughly 22 and a half minutes long. This isn’t even counting the 4 ads I have to sit through just to start watching in the first place. I use the free version of Crunchyroll, so it has ads if I think about it each section of ads totals to about 1.5-3 minutes long. It is usually around 2 minutes though, so I spend almost 4 times less of the time on ads in Crunchyroll than Funimation. That’s HUGE! They need to cut down on ads a bit. Even half would be great, just geese.

Now don’t get me started on the movies/whole anime seasons you can’t watch because you don’t have premium. A whole season or more. I personally have very little problems when it comes to OVA episodes or extra movies being premium, but whole seasons or movies that contribute to the plot are on a whole other level or anger and stupidity. How can you get anyone to subscribe to your content if they can’t like your site to begin with. Have fun building a fan base Funimation because the only thing your good for is to search up anime and be disappointed wi the ads and blockage. I might as well us Crunchyroll. Frankly I would rather use an illegal webcitw with viruses over Funimation.

I’m a premium member because I hate ads that much. I’ve been watching Funimation on Amazon Firestick for a few months now and for the most part, I’m okay with it, but there are some things I would love for the service to improve upon.

1. To create a section for English dubbed anime. Or at least create something that makes it easier to find. I find it so annoying and time consuming having to go through every video just to find a show has no English audio. Even more annoying, to find after 3-4 episodes the language switches to Japanese. I am not a fan of reading subtitles, especially if the genre is action.
2. I recently found out that not every show will auto play. You might wanna check that out.
3. The app crashes and logs me out, but this doesn’t happen all the time. It’s just when it happens it’s really annoying.
4. Can we please have a skip button! Cos, OOoommmGggg!!! Listening to the same theme song at the begging and the end really does my head in. It’s totally fine if the song is soft and rhythmic, but that rock and roll gives me a migraine. This is why I prefer to watch Netflix. No need to keep forwarding.

Absolutely the worst anime site I have ever used. Whether I am on the TV App/website/mobile app/or on a console app, it always; and I mean ALWAYS, has a loading problem. Always buffering (I have 1gb fiber internet, definitely funimations fault) and the app layout on every platform makes me wonder if they hire a kindergarten class to design it. I just wish I had enough money to invest in my own anime streaming site because funimation wouldn't even be considered competition. Absolute HOT GARBAGE.

Terrible Anime site. They have no auto play while in full screen all the video will do is replay the same episode. They also removed the ability to leave reviews as well as removed the forums so you HAVE NO ability to ask questions or get info.

It's so terrible compared to animelab and there is constant bugs on the mobile app

The worst app I've ever used, for every platform - Android, Ps4, Samsung Smart TV. I've submitted tickets that they've only recently chosen to address. I'd rather search for shows online. Canceling my subscription after I finish this review.

WTH IS THIS. I WORK 12 HR DAYS 7 DAYS A WEEK AND COME HOME TO WATCH BORUTO BUT NOOOO ANIMELAB MADE ME SWITH OVER TO THIS B#####%T, I CANT GET RID OF THE UI, NO I DONT HABE A TOUCHSCREEN AND IM F#####G FUMING CAUSE IT TOOK ME LEGIT AN HOUR TO FIND THE BORUTO EPISODES BECAUSE OF HOW FKED THE SEARCH BAR IS! I SEARCH UP BORUTO EPIDSODE 115 BUT NAH HERES EPISODE 15 , 128, 100 AND 87 THO CAUSE IM A MENTAL FK HEAD WHO CANT GIVE YOU THE NUMBER YOU SEARCHED, LEGIT DELETE THE WHOLE SITE AND LET ME STAY OM ANIMELAB YOU HOMOPHOBICS

This is such a downgrade towards anime lab. you can't skip the intros of the anime, the continue section is only for the episodes not the anime and the quality at the start of the episodes is terrible. I forgot to mention how late they add episodes from animes like boruto for example by the time episode 100 is out on other services they have just added episode 99

I switched my account over from animelab and was thoroughly disappointed. The site is a complete downgrade from anime lab, i tried watching a show but the video player was awful. I am so deeply upset by the merge, however I decided to switch to Crunchyroll, whilst still a downgrade from anime lab, anything is better than the funimation site. Now I've come to find out that sony has just purchased Crunchyroll as well and plans to merge Crunchyroll users onto the funimation site. This is my absolute last straw. I will not spend a dime on this poor excuse for a streaming service unless sony fixes its god awful site. What are you even paying your people to do if they keep letting the site be like this. so poor. will not be streaming on the funimation site unless sony gets their act together

If I could rate a zero I would selection of shows is horrible. Quality is awful. And if you subscribe to thier premium plan you better watch your bank account because they say it's a monthly subscription but I was getting charged twice a month not monthly. This month alone I was charged for my subscription on the 19th and then again on the 25th less than a week later. I did not agree to pay twice a month so if you pay for it watch out for that.

Funimation are pretty useless.

Their staff do not care about their bug riddled app nor do they care about their messed up content.

They ignore you and pretend the bugs must be you.

In NZ, Funimation is very poor in comparison to AnimeLab and Crunchyroll. The time delays caused by going through LA gateway make the experience to be very poor. I'm on a 1 Gig connection but it performs like I'm using a basic VDSL connection. I have found Que and history do not work for my account!

This site sucks and the only reason i occasionally use it is because they have exclusive rights to some anime which forces the viewers to use Funimation. The site literally doesn't even load any shows, at first i thought it was my ad blocker but no even after i disabled it and checked my connection to the internet it still doesn't work. Horrible site, just pirate your show don't give them money.

Literally the worst UI i have ever seen on a website

The WORST player I've ever seen on an anime site.

The buttons are laggy, it doesn't remember your quality settings for the player, even if you're logged in. There's no way to skip intros or endings and you can't even control the 10-second skips with your keyboard. If you accidentally double-click next it can send you past the next episode. Most of the time that an episode finishes and gives you the option to start the next one, it won't begin after the ten seconds or if you press the play button. It randomly stops every now and then and requires a browser reset, not to mention that the subtitles are too big, bulky and unappealing. It's just not a pleasant experience. Once I watch the few Funimation exclusive titles, I'm done with the god-awful site.

Terrible, videos don't load properly, starts buffering every few seconds. Super disappointed that animelab is no more and become a part if this unwatchable medium.

Anime lab was a great service. I am not please by the merge with funimation. Lots of the content I used to watch on anime lab is now geo locked with funimation. I don't understand why this service is punishing users for living in different countries.
