My daughter attended the in-person week long Python - Coder course at Victoria and really enjoyed it. She felt the course instructors were very skilled and kept the course fun for everyone. They quickly adapted the course to each person's skill level.

Excellent (Python OOP residential camp)
Funtech residential camp is the only thing Iâve been hearing from my daughter about since her return. She is already planning her next yearâs camps and wants to attend 2. The staff and peers were very fun and friendly. My daughter goes to girlsâ school and has a pretty shy personality. She was very nervous about boys and whether she can make any friends at all. It was not the case. By the end of the camp she even stopped calling me, because she was too busy with her own social life :)

Fun and inspiring as usual!
This is my daughterâs fourth time participating in a Funtech course. This time round, the Lego Robotics camp. She found it engaging, a little challenging at times, but by the end of the week she was executing her programmes with gusto, getting her robot to twirl, write her initials and navigate a maze. As always, the teachers were patient and knowledgeable and bonded easily with the kids. So much so they were chatting to them like friends by the end of the week. Thoroughly recommend this course. We hope to return next summer.

Fantastic support and scheduling for non-native English speakers
We are about to start our daughterâs third year with FunTech this September, and as parents, we couldnât be happier. Month by month, weâve watched her interest and curiosity for all the subjects covered grow exponentially.
The way programming is tailored specifically for kids has completely removed the initial performance anxiety she felt, keeping her more and more engaged with every lesson.
Our daughter is Italian, lives in Italy, and is a native Italian speaker. Despite this, FunTech has been fantastic at providing time slots that fit perfectly with Italian school hours and holidays. On top of that, their tutors have been incredibly supportive whenever she felt unsure or had doubts about understanding certain topics.

Programs are well structured. Good cadence. Good support framework at both professionally and administratively. Good balance between letting the child self manage and drive forward and take responsibility, but also keeping the parents involved and updated so that they can monitor progress. The one area I would recommend improving is making sure that the parents occasionally get concrete outputs or deliverables from the child's work to understand what has been accomplished and what is being learned.

Funtech Python Coder
We couldnât be happier with the Python coding course at Funtech. My son has absolutely loved it from start to finish. Every break, heâs been bouncing out full of excitement, and at the end of each day heâs genuinely been sad that it was over - which says a lot, especially given the hours are longer than a typical school day!
Whatâs really stood out is how engaged heâs been. Heâs loved all of the projects and has been so motivated to keep going that Iâve actually had to drag him out for walks just to get him off his screen - otherwise heâd happily spend the whole evening continuing what he started in class.
Not only has he had a fantastic time, but heâs clearly learnt a huge amount too. His confidence has grown, and heâs been excited to talk through what heâs built and how it works.
A special mention to his tutor, Hope, who was exceptional - clearly inspiring, supportive, and brilliant at keeping the students engaged throughout.
A brilliant course that manages to be both educational and genuinely fun, highly recommend and he is excited for the next two, we wish he could do the next one in May and not wait until August!

FunTech is Outstanding
I have been a customer with FunTech since 2020 starting out with their virtual camps during the pandemic. The quality was second to none and had my two eldest boys engaged for hours on end despite their young ages at the time.
We subsequently enrolled them on to their term-time product where they have been steadily progressing through their learning pathway. We have always found FunTech's approach to be thorough with a clear focus on making sure our kids understand topics thoroughly. If they were ever struggling then extra sessions were offered ensuring that they never got overwhelmed.
The foundation that FunTech has provided is perfect for our our eldest boy who is now taking a GCSE in computer science at school and in his words "making it a breeze".
Our youngest twins are now getting to the age where they are ready to start their journey and we'd recommend FunTech to anyone.

Great jump into Python

I dont have much first hand experience of the course (!), but I asked my son and he said he enjoyed it. He said his teacher was great. He is Year 9 and he said the content was too easy, slow pace, but I think in reality it was the right starting point for him and a good space to jump in (as well as what he covers in school). We intend to put him into the advanced course some time later this year.

This company used to be excellent, excellent admin, tutors and lucaz was amazing. I donât know if management has changed but they just donât seem to care about loyal customers. I have been trying to book some missed sessions But seem to leave message upon message with no response. I find it incredibly frustrating as we have done a few term time courses. Having written this review the owner called me and apologised which was great to finally get the personal touch. She will investigate how I fell through the net, and kindly refunded the catch up lessons which was above what I expected so thank you.

My son has benefitted greatly from his FunTech courses, and his teachers have also recognised this when working on his projects at school. Learning from home with the Virtual Lab is so easy. He sign's in each week and is engaged for the entire lesson, learning and laughing along the way. The tutors and staff always bend over backwards to help, they recognise and give additional support when needed. Awful administration, lessons missing from portal
Awful administration. We paid for extra lessons so he could join the course part way through the year, the lessons login regularly didn't appear in the portal so we were always chasing him, he was supposed to get the same tutor every time - he didn't. I was going to enrol him on this years course, but there was an extra £300 added to the bill, i went through their awful online portal to try and remove it but you were through the logon process with the £300 plus a £50 enrolment fee. I don't have time to be constantly chasing them for their poor administration so I cancelled the course. They are still emailing me with the wrong amount for the course saying they are going to take payment by direct debit, for a new incorrect amount, despite having cancelled once already. The lessons are only 50 minutes, they often don't start on time as they're waiting for the other kids to join, but they finish bang on or earlier than the 50 mins allocated. The instructors are nice enough, but everything about the service and the administration is tedious and unacceptable.
My son also did a minecraft course which was ok, there were a lot of technical problems despite having done the technical set up beforehand and in the end he had to switch onto my husbands machine at work to do it.
** Re your reply of 28.09 My son did not do lessons for the year, he only did them for a term, so three lessons out of a term is still not a good rate. To say all the lessons started on time is a lie, I was sat next to ted one day when they were all waiting for 10 minutes for the other children to arrive. The lesson finished bang on time, despite being 40 minutes long. This is another example of your poor administration and communication. I note you've failed to address my other points, in particular the login that we had to chase regularly because there wasn't a lesson to log into. It was no glitch, it was sloppy, poor administration and relied on the parents chasing you on phone and message to get access the lessons we'd paid for. Everything about your portal is poor, you can't even change "optional extras", it simply confirms your booking without giving you the option to change or decline it.

We aim to ensure every customer receives the best service, however, as with all things, very occasionally we do get it wrong - for which I am truly sorry.
To address each of your points below: -
INCORRECT FEES
You are absolutely right on this point - an incorrect date was entered on our system which showed the payment required for the previous year. This has now been updated. I believe our enrolments manager did send you an email clarifying the payment together with an updated invoice.
SAME TUTOR
All your son's one-to-one lessons prior to joining the group class were taken by the same tutor.
When your son joined the group classes, of course the tutor changes and the same tutor is scheduled for the entire course. The only exception would be if the tutor is unwell, and with Covid, sadly we had a few more than we ordinarily do.
START & END TIME
All students are given an exercise when they join their session, which I am assuming you are saying did not happen? I shall investigate class start and end times further and come back to you.
TECHNICAL SETUP
This is a free of charge technical check service that we offer, for parents who would like some additional support. However, please note we cannot foresee all potential challenges that may occur during the course, for example fluctuation of Internet speeds, or challenges on the device's processing power.
However, I want to assure you that we do take it very seriously when we do not get things right and will investigate the class times and come back to you.

Fantastic week at Roblox designer
This is the first time we have used Funtech having enrolled our 7 year old daughter on a week long Roblox Designer course. We were slightly apprehensive at first, however our daughter had an absolutely fantastic week. She learnt lots of new skills whilst also having had fun and making new friends. Sheâs already requested to attend the Minecraft Camp next year. Highly recommended.
