Terrible company, service, support⊠pretty much everything. This company is an absolute joke. Overpriced and doesnât deliver nearly enough value. Also their support team are brain dead idiiots.

One of the worse rental businesses Iâve dealt with. Shipping is slow as fk! Youâll be lucky to get 2 movies a month and they âre based in the same state as me. Called and complained once and things got better for a month then back to the same slow routine. Feeling bamboozled.
I had a bad experience. My first trial month was good, so I paid for another and then the problems started. I would say half of the games I returned were never marked as returned. Now, according to their website, I have two games at home- which I was never sent. There's no way this is the post office's mistakes. It's a shame because the first month was fun. It wasn't until I was offered the free upgrade to two rentals a month that things went haywire. It's been stressful and unfortunate since then.
Iâll change the star rating if GameFly comes through. After reading all these reviews Iâm not so sure.. I just activated my account on Wednesday June 12th. Picked some games and hoped for the best not knowing what to expect.
This morning I got antsy to see if there was any progress and maybe have a shipped game.. To my surprise my #1 spot game was shipped! On the 10th of June??? How is this possible?!?!? I feel like Iâm being bamboozled or GameFly has some serious glitchesâŠ. Either way I hope I actually get the game!!
I cannot begin to describe all of the amateur hour issues Iâve had with this company. But, letâs start with how poor their shipping is - something that should be crucial in their line of business. While it was horrible in general, it was the excessive fluctuations that would occur around billing periods. Almost like they took extra long to ship in-between payments to ensure Iâd buy another month. Iâve had turnarounds that were two weeks long. Whatâs extra crazy about this is I live less than 20 miles from one of their shipping centers in LA. There is literally no possible way it takes that long to receive and ship a game through the post office between two locations that are in the same county.
My most recent experience was a game that I personally dropped off at the post office and then 8 days later still wasnât listed as received. I contacted them and they said they didnât have it, which is just wild to me. It also coincided right in-between billing periods.
Next, youâve got the obvious issue of never getting the games you want. The games I was getting recently were 4th or worse on my list, even though all of my top games were consistently listed as high to medium availability. Their âavailabilityâ system just seems broken.
And, finally, just all of the little errors that piled up. The website not updating correctly, or employees just not filing things correctly. On two occasions, games I returned were listed as still at my house long after I had returned them. Even better, they had sent the next game. My subscription was only for one game at a time, so for them to even send the next game means they received the previous one. Yet, I was still going to be charged for those returned games.
Honestly, it all just seems so shady to me. I guess it could be sheer incompetence. Either way it does seem like a very poorly run company. I know itâs enticing both with how expensive games have gotten and being the only company of its kind. But, please stay clear. I have come back a few times precisely because it was so enticing. However, itâs all only gotten worse. I really regret paying for it again recently. And, I genuinely cannot express in an acceptable manner how displeased I am with this company. If I can stop one person from using them I will feel like Iâve done some good.
I was a GameFly customer for several years and always notified them promptly if there was any shipping issue, which for some reason tended to be when returning titles (not sure if USPS or GameFly just sucking and checking their receiving) but out of nowhere GameFly cancelled my membership claiming they could no longer guarantee proper service to me due to shipping issues, so clearly they blamed me for games ânot receivedâ by them despite my always giving notice and proof that they were returned and no matter my argument they kept blaming me. Coincidentally only a week or two later I got automated emails that every single game they âhadnât receivedâ were scanned in at their warehouse, how convenient. Screw GameFly and their customer blaming, will not subscribe with them again without a massive incentive and apology from the company.

shipping standards are subpar... you have to wait 8 days before they will even check on the status of your non arrival.... they don't order enough games and then blame it on shipping when they don't send out your gamelocked titles.... i have had their service for 3 months and 2 of the 3 months has been waiting on games..... 9 days shipping from pittsburgh to alabama is somehow ok????but at least customer service is right there to tell you they are not going to do anything to help.... had it not been a gift subscription i would have cancelled 10 times by now
Canceled my order because they suck at their jobs. They refused to honor the order saying they could cancel anything they liked.
Edit: Response to GameFly - See "they suck at their jobs." I don't care about your bad information. You posted the item for that price and should 100% honor that price. But instead of honoring them, you canceled them like cowards and blame it on your supplier.

GameFly is dead. They barely have any series X games. Dragon Quest XI is a popular one and they donât have it. They barely have any Series X games. They used to have a huge library years ago. Seems like they are barely hanging on.

This "service" continues to degenerate. Each time I've come back, I'm met with more frustration and disappointment.
This time, within an entire months' membership, I only received 1 game. I only kept said game for 4 days, and sent it back, thinking it would be in time for other new releases.
I watched my mailman pick up and scan the return envelope. It took an additional 4 days for Gamefly to receive the game, which in and of itself is a problem, considering they have a (broken) system in place that's supposed to recognize the moment a game is scanned and being sent back.
Needless to say, because their system doesn't work. I was unable to get either of the games on my queue upon release. To add to to my frustration, I monitored said games and watched the availability raise from "low" to "normal" multiple times and still never received a game. I'm contemplating filling a report with the BBB. They're clearly unable to provide the "service" they're charging people for.
Gamefly sent out a ps5 disc that was scratched all the way to hell and completely unreadable by my console. I lost a week waiting for the game just to get my time wasted further. Gamefly if you see this, your business model only works if you send out *working* games, please and thanks. For anyone considering Gamefly, please take this into account and think twice. Or maybe even thrice.
Nothing but trouble with sending games and receiving them. It always takes more than 7 days to receive a game they say it's fast shipping. Fast return rarely works and game lock just ensure you don't get a game for one third of the month.
My very first game I sent back never made it to them, but they didn't tell me and sent my second game anyway even though I was on a one game out at a time plan. Then AFTER I canceled the trial, they told me they didn't receive the first game. Then why did you send out the second game? Now I'm being charged full retail price for a game that they allegedly didn't receive. Total scam

Horrible experience. They charged for me rentals that they never delivered even after double checking that I provided the correct shipping address and customer service is almost non-existent. I rented a game nearly one month ago and it was never delivered.
game cartridge got stolen by the gamefly people or the post office and i got blamed for it. That was only 3 rentals into the trial
The games would take forever to arrive and sometimes wouldn't until I requested a replacement and then both copies showed on the same day and now I got charged for games currently in the mail to be returned. I sold my console because of it and now charged for games I don't have nor have a console for.
This company lacks reason and logic. I wasn't able to open an account because an older resident at my address never paid. This older resident owes 6 dollars. I offered to pay it and they wouldn't accept. This company literally turned down future business over 6 dollars ð€£ð€£ð€£.
This is by far the worst experience Iâve ever had with any online service. I place an order for a switch on December 23rd where it promises itâll be shipped out in 2-3 business days. I place the order they say it wont be there till Wednesday. Okay cool whatever. Two weeks later it finally arrives without notifying my email. I send it back for a refund as I donât want the product anymore they say itâll take 3 days approximately to process and Iâve been waiting over a week. I call them three times a week to see what the status of the order is and every time they are completely clueless and say they have no way of knowing where it is or what the status is. The customer service people are incredibly rude and inpatient and place you on unnecessary holds. Seriously donât use this service.
Ordered a collectible with a stated ship date of 11/21/22. It's now 12/20/22 and not shipped and no update. Called customer service and was treated very poorly, interrupted, and talked over. They don't even know when I can expect my item. I was told I wasn't charged but the $75 is taken out of my bank account.
