Feeling super proud of myself for completing this course around my full time job, child and general life. It did take me the 3 years to do but it was great to have a focus and escape whilst working on each assignment. The course is so informative and I know so much more about not only the design but gardening in general, the science behind things and even how to start a business! I can't wait to take the first step into my new career, thank you to the academy xx

This online course is a joy to pursue. Full of inspiring and challenging tasks, with each unit giving a perfect blend of history, theory and practice. Great to learn how to bring a range of client and design ideas together. The course gives you everything you need to set yourself up in business as a garden designer. Helpful tutors, detailed guidelines for each assignment with excellent feedback on how to progress and improve. Encyclopaedic information in the library and endless drawing options to explore the subject in depth.

The course was very good, full of information and techniques, giving a well rounded education in garden design.
Whilst giving an understanding of design principles, the course also focused on the skills required to establish, market and build a business.
The staff were helpful throughout helping students to achieve the most out of the course. This was helpful with the online course.

Before enrolling at the British Academy of Garden Design, I spent a lot of time searching for an online landscape design course that I could trust. I chose BAGD, and I'm extremely happy about my decision. My tutor, Ines, is very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. She responds to my questions and concerns right away. After I submitted my first assignment, she gave me a very professional and positive feedback. She recommended me how to work in certain areas that I needed to perform better. I followed her advice, and I feel more confident with my drawings now. The course content is amazing. I have been learning so much! It is a joy for me to be taking this course. I definitely recommend BAGD!

A few assignments in and I am enjoying the online course. The material is varied and I feel like I am learning a lot. The tutors are responsive and helpful.

I had an excellent experience on the post graduate diploma course in garden design. I found the BAGD as one of the recommended educational centres on the Society of Garden Designers website. The course is well structured, covering technical aspects of garden design, as well as plant science and history of gardens. I personally completed this course through the home study option and found it quite comfortable to follow through, but I guess it comes down to personal preferences. Tutors are professional and easy to reach, prompt in answering your queries. Honestly, I had a really good and interesting experience studying with this academy. I truly recommend it!

I completed the Diploma course almost three years to the day after starting. I found the material useful and informative, and the feedback useful in helping me to proceed and develop through the course.

One criticism that I have however is that in running a course aimed primarily at people who will potentially set up design practices there were no exercises relating to budgeting or costs.

I started the Postgraduate Diploma with the Live Online Class in February 2022. Although the course materials are informative, joining a bi-weekly class with a professional tutor has been the most beneficial. I would certainly recommend the classroom-based option to anyone serious about a career in garden design.
This course requires commitment and resilience, as the home assignments take significant time and effort. I completed the course in 18 months but if you have a busy life, it can be quite daunting and, once the classroom lessons stop, it is easy to loose momentum.
Although I had already created my design business before joining the course, I was hoping it would give me some validation as a professional, and I would also learn a few tricks along the way. Only time will tell if it helps grow my garden design business...

I've just completed my Postgraduate Garden Design Diploma with the British Academy of Garden Design and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else keen to make the transition into a career in garden design.

The assignments were well-structured and the client briefs were realistic. I found the course to be challenging, but I felt well supported by the wealth of information in the course library. The course covered everything from garden design history, to plant science, to design techniques, and more. The feedback I received from Renata (my assigned tutor) was constructive and informative. I learned a lot from her.

My advice to any new students would be to make the absolute most of the information and examples provided in the course library - It's comprehensive and will make the whole process go a lot smoother.

This Academy is amazing place to study the tutors and administration team are fantastic. Very helpful and kind.
The course materials are easy to understand and the practical projects are great very true to reality. I have enjoyed every minute of this course. I would highly recommend it.

The course is really interesting and together with the full support from the tutors it has made this journey a wonderful experience. Completing this course has given me the confidence to start my new career in garden design, thanks once again to all the staff who have helped me achieve my goal.

I am only starting my journey with British Academy of Garden Design, but I wanted to share this review as I’m really happy with the course (Diploma in Horticulture and Garden Design) so far. The content is really comprehensive and versatile and the assignments, although quite challenging, are a great opportunity to learn - also thanks to the thorough feedback and guidance you get from the tutors who are very supportive and responsive. I can definitely recommend enrolling to anybody who is hesitating!

Still early days of the course but I have learnt so much already. Quite a bit of time required to do assignments well but really interesting and there is an emphasis on professional standards. Excellent communication with tutors whenever required.

Great course, I was a complete beginner and found the course informative and engaging. From my first assignment to my last i saw a real improvement in my drawings and always got great feedback and useful criticism to help me improve. My tutor was always very encouraging and assignments where always marked and sent back quickly.
