You won’t receive any refund from gateway of tutor if you don’t turn up even if train crash
I booked a week before for a sound bath therapy course with Maxine Dubois the derailment of a train which was on the news meant there where no trains to London the next morning this I didn’t know until I went to station where I rang tutor she didn’t offer another place on a later date even though she has many . I emailed gateway and there terms and condition say they won’t refund the £75 for Tavel disruptions the tutor was paid £110 bank transfer 5 days before she blocked my phone number and didn’t offer me another date or refund my funds. So basically cost me £185 . As a wellness couch I think she is in the wrong procession as obviously just in it for the money and doesn’t care about goodwill of clients who may be seeking healing not a very good example Maxine dubois

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were unable to attend the course following the disruption to your train service. Although we appreciate how frustrating this must have been, the course went ahead as scheduled and the other students were able to attend.
Unfortunately, Gateway Workshops and its tutors cannot accept responsibility for cancelled trains or other personal travel difficulties outside our control. This is clearly explained in the booking terms and conditions accepted before a booking is completed. As your place had been reserved and the course was delivered as planned, the payments were not refundable or transferable.
Maxine has worked with Gateway Workshops for more than 20 years and is a highly valued and exceptionally experienced tutor. During that time, she has consistently received outstanding feedback from students, who frequently praise her knowledge, professionalism, kindness and commitment to their learning.
We were therefore deeply concerned by the level of anger directed towards Maxine following a situation that was entirely outside her control, initially communication was polite, but the subsequent volume and tone of the messages she received caused her considerable distress and made her feel threatened. She therefore made the reasonable decision to end direct contact and block further communications.
All contracted gateway tutors are obliged to follow the same booking conditions, we can’t have one rule for one and something different for everyone else, as people usually respect our terms and conditions as they have them for their businesses too and totally understand they are fair and there for good reason.
We however do also often help further, on an individual basis and can usually offer a cancellation place soon after (so people don’t loose their payment) that they can attend at a later date instead (which we don’t have to legally offer, but we often do as we are here to help where we can) but not if people cannot be respectful to our tutors.
Unfortunately sadly however we have the screenshots on file to show the level of unprofessionalism that was levelled against Maxine, which cannot be ignored.
We frequently consider goodwill requests where circumstances permit, and we always try to assist students who communicate with our team and tutors respectfully. However, goodwill gestures are discretionary, and our tutors must also be protected from communication they experience as aggressive, intimidating or personally insulting.
We are disappointed that this review does not acknowledge either the booking conditions or the nature of the communications received. Nevertheless, we wish you well with your future training.

Really enjoyed my pregnancy massage course with Sue Cross. Learnt lots of techniques I can use in other massage too. Lovely trainer, great location. And lucky to have shared my learning day with a wonderful bunch of girls 🥰

The course was clear, concise, and very easy to follow. Kate offered support whenever it was needed, which made the learning experience feel reassuring and well‑guided. I would happily recommend this Level 3 Award in Education and Training to anyone looking to develop their teaching skills.

Olivia Hickson is amazing!
I recently attending a course given by Olivia Hickson, before I had even attended the course, I received nothing but kindness from Olivia. Already being trained in lymphatic drainage, I decided to go for the wood therapy lymphatic drainage to add to my treatment list, I learnt more in the first 5 minutes than I did on my first course in total. So much information, so much time & knowledge was provided from her. No question went unanswered & no question felt a chore to answer. So much advise & support. Olivia is clearly amazing at what she does & that shows in the classes she delivers, Thanks so much.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Pre & Post-op surgery Practitioner
I have done several courses with Gateway. I attended the manual lymphatic drainage pre & post-op surgery with Tracey Entwistle. I would highly recommend this course,it is very indepth and Tracey has a lot of knowledge and experience that has helped me to develop my own knowledge & skills further.

I recently attended the Reiki Seichem Parts 1 and 2 Practitioner Level course with Maxine, and it was an absolute joy to learn this beautiful spiritual practice.
