During an extremely difficult time Abby showed real compassion and kept me updated from start to finish about the manufacturing of my security door. She was extremely understanding and went above and beyond to get this processed quicker than the standard timeframe due to the circumstances. I am forever grateful and it really does means a lot to me!

i had a front door installed by GERDA via the RBCK council upgrade on the 11th of aug 2026 .....i was one of 1st to get booked in early 2025 only for that to be cancelled because the UPVC that was used was deemed substandard,so council paused works for months until Gerda went around and changed all the UPVC to hard wood...so work started again and i booked in waited a few weeks and on day got text message saying the appointment was cancelled because they didn't have materials ,but the caretaker told me my lock had been taken out the door storage and that's why my door is taking so long ...a few months go by and im only one left who hasn't had door done ,i booked in again after getting hold of number as installers had left site...i got 4th aug 2026 only for nothing not even a message to say sorry they didn't turn up ...i lodged complaint with council and they got Gerda to book the appointment on 11th aug 2026 which they turned up and installed the door.....after i got back from work i looked at the door and i couldn't believe i got a downgrade went from a solid steal frame hard wood timber could stop a truck "Mul t lock" door set..... to plastic cavity ridden Gerda door set smaller then old door so left massive gaps all round it and they filled with cheap wood and UPVC and silicone sealant ,they had used the UPVC they were not supposed to use... and a much cheaper thinner sharper edged wood around the door instead of what all the neighbors got a strong thicker harder look wood nicer looking.....but that's not even the kicker .....the GERDA installer glued all the wood and UPVC trim together around the door no screws to cover up cavities and on closer inspection you actually see how bad of a bodge job it is,the bit of wood that's at top of door is only being held up 2 bits of silicone sealant on the edges leaving a massive gap behind you can put 4 fingers in...and the security chain for the front door is not even anchored to the solid wall and is screwed with tiny screws to one of those thin strips of the cheaper looking wood and glued to the wall with silicone sealant...so on first use when my younger brother pushed the door with chain on ,the strip came away from wall .....i phoned council they agree it's disgusting standard from Gerda security who have fire and security rating accreditation....the disgusting treatment from gerda mangers telling me when we spoke on phone she will tell council i didn't let the installer in,because i demanded they rip the UPVC and replace the wood with hard wood all the other doors got and fix security chain to solid wall,when all the installer she sent wanted to do was fill any gaps with firemate mastic and relay what i wanted back to office ......absolutely disgusting behavior and substandard work from GERDA and their Managers,and my door is still the same i have pictures and video,how gerda think they can sign off and keep security accreditation is criminal

I would highly recommend Gerda Security Products Ltd. The service and communication we, as a housing association received from Toby Mills were excellent from start to finish. When we encountered issues with a number of older H45 keys, Toby took the time to investigate the problem, clearly explain the cause and provide a practical solution. The issues were resolved quickly, allowing us to continue supporting our residents without disruption. Good communications, good standard of product and all round service

I had the best service from Bec! My query was resolved really quickly and efficiently with no hassle, and she was really friendly :)

Sarah has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish. She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to help with any questions I had.

Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she took the time to explain everything clearly, making the whole process really straightforward. Her communication was excellent throughout, and she always came back to me promptly.

It's been a pleasure dealing with Sarah, and she's a real credit to GERDA. Thank you again for all of your help!

The product, service and overall assistance I received when dealing with Gerda over the last six years, where we have replaced over two thousand doors together, has been fantastic. This is mostly due to Klie Fenson who was the beating heart of Gerda. Her knowledge, promptness and never say die attitude were second to none in ensuring the progression of our project and ensuring it ran as smoothly as possible in, sometimes, challenging circumstances.

Highly recommend 👍 an excellent service from start to finish. The initial enquiries team was very knowledgeable and the people who installed my doorset were polite and helpful, taking time out to answer my questions. End product is also so smart.

I am trying to get replacement keys for an extremely expensive Tedee Smart Lock, I have emailed Gerda 3 times with absolutely no response, I have phoned them twice "The gentleman concerned is not in at the moment I will get him to ring you back", of course absolutely nothing happened. It would be best to avoid buying Tedee Locks

Absolutely disgraceful company, if I could score 0 I certainly would, I have had the worst experience dealing with these people they are rude, arrogant and have no respect.
They won't take responsibility for there mistakes, this is a serious concern considering they are making mistakes regarding fire doors which is to save lifes.
They are messy and caused damage to my property. They lie and take no pride in their work leaving you with absolute devastation and fear, oh and don't bother complaining to the complaints team as you will get a very hostile response from them, also there is no point in going to their superior as they are also liars basically stick together and make you out to be the lair and how dare you contest what they are saying as they are right and your wrong. I have had another company come to check their work and they have deemed my door to not being compliant with regulations. This is so upsetting I have small children and to know they could be in danger. What a disgusting company how could they do this. Please please do not use this company it's all about the money to them and obviously not the safety of the customer's. 😡

Will recommend them to everyone I know. Extremely happy with the service from beginning to end. Every person I dealt with was professional and so friendly. I ordered the front door for my elderly parents and they are so happy with the gentlemen that fitted the door. They were helpful explaining every step of the way and how the locks worked. I would go as far as to say the best service I’ve ever experienced.

Responsive and efficient. Needed an urgent call out for my elderly father and an experienced door specialist came and fixed his door the very next morning. Dad is happy and I am less stressed. Will recommend to others having issues with front doors. Speak to Maria, Andy and Michelle who were attentive to our needs and put our minds to rest.

I would avoid this company for several reasons:

1. The customer service is horrendous. There were often times when I would be ignored for weeks or even up to a month by the sales team.

2. I paid £150 for a survey prior to paying for the door to be manufactured. However, it turned out the door and frame were about 3 inches too small in height and 1.5 inches too small in width. I actually flagged this to the sales team prior to install but was dismissed.

3. The installers they used caused substantial damage to my flooring, skirting and walls (inside and outside). The quality of the install job is also terrible.

4. The door and frame were also damaged, plus were too small so are now being manufactured again (I hope, I haven't actually had this confirmed to me). The old door and frame will have to be removed and then replaced. We have 2 children under 3 so this is a huge inconvenience.

5. I paid for cleaners after the original install which cost £115, and will now will have to pay for that again.

6. I was promised that the MD of the company (who according to Google is Alastair Thompson) would call me to discuss who Gerda could sort this out. While I have spoken with others from Gerda, who have been helpful, it's been 1 month and I've not heard a thing from him.

So please, save yourself the hastle and go with a reputable company!
