Sorry to hear you found it tricky to access your collection after closing. We do have a help page that walks through this step-by-step but I've passed this feedback to our design team.

Thanks also for flagging the apostrophe issue our team has now fixed this.

On editing messages, contributors can update their own comments if needed, as organisers often prefer not to edit on others’ behalf.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review. We’re really pleased you found GiftRound's features helpful, especially hidden amounts, messages and photos. We built GiftRound to make contributing feel comfortable for everyone, whatever they’re able to give.

And while it’s not cash, that’s actually quite intentional. We believe FlexCards often beat bank transfers because they’re far more likely to be used as a treat rather than quietly absorbed into everyday bills or essentials.

Most importantly, as you mention, keeping everything as a FlexCard allows us to stay genuinely free from start to finish. No fees, no deductions, no awkward extras.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review we’re really glad you found GiftRound well run and presentable for the recipient.

Just to clarify for future readers: GiftRound collections are always redeemed as our FlexCard (rather than bank transfer), which can be swapped with 100+ retailers in the UK. This choice allows us to keep GiftRound genuinely free from start to finish: no fees, no deductions and no “unlock to send” charges.

FlexCards are valid for 12 months, so no funds are lost or in limbo and you can choose from 100+ brand to spend the remaining balance. Sadly Airbnb is an exception, which currently only supports £50 increments via our provider, though we’re actively working to improve this.

Our small team is always happy to help including talking things through over the phone so please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can support you.
