Trust the process
What made this experience really impactful was the constant support and resources provided to me. At the time of joining, I had already been studying for Security+ for a couple weeks. They provided me with more resources to test my knowledge 24/7 no matter where I was. I work about 60 hours a week, so finding time and energy to study between all my responsibilities was hard. And with that being said, that's where the support came in. I was challenged to get my Security+ within the first weeks of me joining and I took that challenge head on. The constant support I received from the coaches allowed me to stay focus on passing as they know it was one of the last milestones for me being DoD eligible for Government jobs.

Govtech Academy Review
There are a lot of useful resources in the Govtech Academy program. From certification training, job boards and live calls. The coaches and admin are all quick to respond to messages and are active in circle. I was able to get my resume optimized. One thing I do wish the program had is a recruiter to member contact space. I don’t know how possible that is but I think it be helpful to those that are applicant ready. Applying to jobs can be overwhelming so I think it would be nice to have direct access to recruiters who are looking for candidates like us who are mainly entry level and trying to change careers.

Invaluable Support and Resources Every Step of the Way
The coaching sessions have been invaluable to my professional development and career planning. I've genuinely appreciated the support and insight from each coach, along with the wealth of resources I've been connected to such as podcasts, PBQ simulation practice sites, YouTube channels for professional development, and more. Having Jazzmin as an accountability coach who could offer both general guidance and specialized support made a real difference in keeping me motivated and on track.

My experience was great
My experience was great! I joined after hearing about the program from Symone's YouTube channel. I had followed her channel for a couple years and was intrigued by the GovTech route. Some of the advice from her channel really helped me on networking, finding my path, and being strategic about it. Joining this program only made me stronger. It was delightful to join a group with all of us wanting the same thing. We all shared our experiences and learned from it. It was also a nice spot to vent about certain issues, especially after doing an interview, and others and the coaches would chime in giving helpful insight. One of the motto's Symone would say is "If you're not getting No's, you're not trying hard enough"; this really resonated with me because it felt like I am not alone, we are all in the same boat. I felt a new attitude change going through this journey with the GovTech program. There was frustration and thoughts of quitting, but this program really will show support you to your goals. All the the features, advice, and services is awesome and super helpful. Overall, this program has taught me to trust the process. I finally got my first GovTech job and it is thanks to this program and its team behind it.

Landed a higher paying cybersecurity job in 4 months
I have had the best experience with govtech academy. Within the first few month I was able to get my resumes updated by the team and started applying for job and immediately started to get emails back in no time. Recently, I got an interview for a small gaming company and after going through the long 5 interview process I was able to receive an offer letter from them that I would not refuse. Thanks to the govtech family for working with me to provide great insight on interviewing, projects, and how to continue to improve my skills I was able to land this job!

Just a hospitality worker trying to transition into tech
Having coaches supporting and guiding me through the my experience thus far has been a great help. When you’re starting something new for the first time ever, sometimes it’s nice to have your hand held throughout each step along the way. As someone who’s been in the hospitality industry for all the time they’ve worked, it’s been a relief to receive the kind of guidance the coaches provide, especially from coach Sylvia, who’s super patient and sweet. So overall, it’s been a pleasant experience in this govtech program

Abundance of resources
The abundance of resources and knowledge shared by the coaches and the academy has been tremendous. This recently helped me to pass my SSCP exam. The excitement of being in a community of like minded individuals that soak in this knowledge, put it to use and reap the reward of that hard work, made me to keep pushing myself and to trust that this process works. The academy does its part in showing me the way, and I have done and will keep doing my part in putting in the work.

My time in the academy has been filled with opportunities to learn and grow. I've learned so much from people that are in the industry from which certs to focus and how to navigate the industry. The most difficult part about this is that you get out what you put in so staying focused on your goal is the key. Big shoutout to all the staff and Beez for making the academy what it is and helping everyday people transition.

I’m thrilled to share that I successfully passed the CompTIA Security+ exam after four months of dedicated study through GovTech Academy. This program truly delivers on its promise.
