Our system may initially decline a submission if something isn’t clearly visible, but this is in place to ensure fairness for all users and to verify that receipts are valid and meet the required criteria.

We completely understand how challenging it can be to submit online receipts, especially from retailers like Waitrose, Ocado, and Morrisons. At the moment, our app requires image uploads rather than PDFs, which is why we ask for clear, well-lit photos that show the full receipt and all key details. This helps us confirm the legitimacy of each claim and avoid any inconsistencies.

We’re sorry if this process has felt frustrating, particularly when trying to capture multiple images or ensure clarity. We also acknowledge your feedback regarding response times and file compatibility. This is something we’re actively working to improve.

For Ocado purchases, the receipt will be sent to your email once the order has been delivered. This is the receipt we need in order to validate the claim. If this wasn’t the one uploaded, you’re welcome to re-upload it in the app or forward it to support@greenjinn.com so our team can check it for you.

If you’ve already sent it and your claim still hasn’t been processed, please email us with “Trustpilot Review” in the subject line and our support team will take a look and help resolve it as soon as they can.

The receipt you submitted on 6 March was initially reopened to allow you to upload the original in-store receipt image. However, we have not yet received the updated image, which is why the system automatically rejected the submission. The first image was flagged because it appeared to be a photo of an in-store receipt taken from another device or screen, rather than a direct photo of the physical receipt. In these situations, we reopen the submission to give users the opportunity to provide the correct image.

As part of our review process, we also carry out a number of standard checks to ensure offers are used fairly across the platform. This may include reviewing activity where multiple accounts appear to be connected or where receipt images are repeatedly captured from another device. When this occurs, submissions may be flagged for additional review.

We understand that the wording of the notification may have caused concern, and we apologise if it came across that way. Our support team is currently reviewing your case and will contact you directly to help resolve the matter.

We’ve reviewed the receipt in question and found that the submissions provided were partial or cut-off images, which made it difficult for our team to validate the claim. To process cashback, we need a full, clear copy of the receipt showing all required details.

Our team did advise submitting a complete receipt to avoid rejection, and this requirement is also outlined in our Terms & Conditions, which are agreed to before using the app. That said, we understand the frustration this situation caused, and as a goodwill gesture, we have accepted your claim.
