So I have owned many G-Shock watches especially in the military as they can take a beating. My most recent purchase of a GG1000-1A3 is by far the worst. I dive quite a bit and in the Navy I was a Rescue Diver. This watch fogs up on the inside and after just over 3 years it takes a crap on me. I am very disappointed in this watch. Too bad it is not under warranty because I did not know this was going to be a bad watch.

Iâve bought two G-shock watches now, first was £99 which failed just outside the warranty, I thought fair enough Iâve bought a cheap one, bought another one for £400 which again failed just outside the warranty, at the failure rate in my experience it would have been cheaper to finance a Breitling!

My Casio GBD-100 lasted aprox 6 months until the battery was due to be replaced... then about 6 months later it started to malfunction which continued to worsen until it has finally died today. G-Shocks were good back in the day but it appears like other reliable tech manufacturers they've decided to make quality cuts to make more money. Shame on you. Another thing to add, this watch was linked to their own app that has leaked user data in the past 12 months... just brilliant

Disappointed
Bought a G-Shock which had unbelievable ratings in terms of its an ability to last a lifetime! However within 4 months a piece of the strap broke from everyday use. Being that Casio is such a huge company and the part to fix the watch can be bought for as little as £2.50 (Bare in mind the watch cost just under £100) I thought I would send it back to the repairs team within warranty and at a minimum the part would be replaced. I even went as far as thinking they might be polite enough to replace the part with a metal one as your suppose to be able to drop the watch from a 3 story building. Instead they have sent a bill for £36. I must say Iâm disappointed with such a large company doing this when the part for them would cost them pennies and a technician could fix it in under a minute. As I havenât paid the bill I expected the watch to be sent back as per there guidelines but I havenât had it back and Itâs really put a downer on a company I grew up believing was great.
Terrible Quality & Customer Service â Avoid!
Terrible experience with G-Shock. I purchased a watch just over a year ago, and despite using it gently in the gym, it started falling apart. When I contacted customer service, they refused to take responsibility, claiming the warranty had expired. This isnât just regular wear and tearâitâs a defect in their product.
I was billed $265 plus tax and shipping for repairs, which is completely unreasonable. To make things worse, G-Shockâs customer service offered no assistance and simply apologized for the "inconvenience." Their lack of accountability and poor handling of legitimate concerns is shocking for a brand that markets itself as reliable and durable.
Save your moneyâthere are far better brands out there that actually stand behind their products.

WORST PRODUCT AND SERVICE
I just bought a watch within 3 months of use the clock hands stops working, send it in for repair warranty. THEY DONT HONOR THE WARRANTY FOR THE WATCH AND GIVES AN ESTIMATE OF WAY MORE THAN THE WATCH COSTS!! RIDICULOUS PRODUCT. PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE, NOT WORTH IT!!!

Et ne prenez pas en compte leur remise de 10% qu'ils vont vous proposer, généralement c'est parce que quelques temps aprÚs il y aura une plus grosses promotions, et donc ils pourront s'en mettre davantage dans les poches. Je ne parle même pas des retours qu'ils disent qu'on peut effectuer. C'est beaucoup trop compliqué et le service client ne veut pas trouver d'alternative pour vous aider.

I loved my G shock until the hands started not matching the digital time. there's no way to align them.
I've been in touch with customer service and I'm not impressed. The repair "engineers" have some sort of system where you have to jump through hoops to send your watch back for them to have a look at.
I bought this watch specifically to help with my ADHD symptom of time blindness and it worked really well until it didn't, only a few months into owning it. Now I have to jump through hoops to get the watch sent back to "engineers" (in reality they're watch technicians) and it's unlikely I'll remember to get round to sending this back. You have to print out a form (because their internal tracking is offline at the moment), make sure to print out the original receipt, and then package it up, send it back through the post.
I feel like with such a new device, this should be effortless and customer service on faulty goods has moved on from the dark ages of jumping through hoops. These days it's more usual to have QR codes for label-free returns.
The marketing for G shock is rather aggressive (I used to work in marketing and can recognise the tracking cookies, etc) but their customer service doesn't seem to back up their eagerness to sell high numbers of watches.
Also, I've not had a casio watch (and I've had many over the years) fail like this on me, so I don't know what's happened to their QC, but it seems to be suffering...
Stack 'em high, sell 'em cheap, I suppose...

Don't buy the GPR-H1000
Great watches....just don't waste your money on the GPR-H1000. It is not very smart, doesn't maintain a smartphone connection and the sensors are useless if you are tattooed. And don't bother trying to get support as Casio make it as difficult as humanly possible.....

Another Failed G-Shock
April 17, 2024, I bought the new G-Shock GPR-H1000. At first, I loved the watch. It does amazing things, one of which, is the vibration alarm. However, after my GD 350's vibration alarm broke after a year and a half, I decided to use the BEEP notification. However, the BEEP function does not work. Unbelievable! What really irritates me is that I have to send the watch to G-Shock for them to fix the problem. I have to pay shipping to get it fix! It will cost me money to get a $500.00 watch that I bought on April 24, 2024 fixed! So I set the notification function to VIB. I'll workaround the broken BEEP function. Don't waste your money on fancy G-Shocks; the function seem to break not to long after purchase. Stick to the Casio F95W. It's less that $20, so when it breaks, you have not lost much.
I have a Pathfinder and I am sad about chance of lost it âŠ
I have a Pathfinder that was 5 years warranty and it has 15 now working fine with same battery, but recently started to lose charge so I used to leave it charging for a while under an electric LED or sun light but after several days the warning of LOW charge showed up again, but this and last time the screen become dark brown and no numbers or letters can be read on the seen.
