Guitar Tricks started out good and I liked the format. It started with a code or coupon for reduced rate dropping subscription from $19.95 to $8,however it never came to fruition, instead they took my money but refused to acknowledge my payment. I even sent them screenshots of my bank transactions with their name above the charge. They said they couldn't find my account, and asked me to have my bank call them. Banks don't do that and they know it. When I called them the person/female receptionist that answered was so rude she was borderline beligerant refusing to help in anyway other than you don't exist. I thought I found a decent company that would return what I put into it I would get out but not this time. If you're looking for a good solid guitar teaching format and you're a parent or just beginning guitar, pass on this website.They need to tweak their customer service skills.
Hard pass on GUITAR TRICKS.

I have been a guitar 'hacker' for about 30 years. Never having any formal training and never having the time to do so. I'm now retired and committed to learning. I found this course and it is just what I needed! The structure and videos are perfect. From learning theory, and practicing along with the videos, I am loving this! I'm practicing 2 to 3 hours a day and would do more if I had the time. I've mostly taken Anders videos and he is awesome. As are the others I've looked at. Well done!!

I'm Learning guitar now for 2,5 years with guitar tricks and made it through four courses (fundamentals 1 & 2, acoustic 1 & 2). The courses give structure and clarity and together with the practice tunes deliver satisfaction moving forward.

I am a beginner and older than most.
I like the presentation of the very basic information about guitars and the steps from warm up exercises to tuning to playing chords to strumming.
I find the lessons are very well organized into small segments and do not overwhelm.
I am proceeding but in the early stages after 2 days. Ni

They guide you in a positive way to ensure you make progress. Take your time and don’t jump around to the next shiny lesson. On other sites I have been on that was what I was doing on guitar tricks they tell this a lot you will make better progress by sticking to the plan

I've been tinkering around with the guitar for some time, but have never had lessons. It is helping me tons to start from the very beginning ("it's a very good place to start" - Sound of Music). I can see how to properly hold my chording hand and pick, for example.

Since I am really new to the site my opinion is just based on what I have seen so far. Being an older learner I find the font to small for easy reading and the screens are to busy for me but I will adjust. I really just need to learn how to use the site before a truly honest opinion.

I have been using it for a month now. Very beginner friendly and instructive, I love it. It makes me want to play and practice.

Well done instructional videos. My only complaint is that I want to concentrate on fingerpicking technique, but I've only found one small intro section of fingerpicking. I'm hoping there are more advanced lessons on this technique that I have just not found on the site so far.

Great platform to learn guitar. I only wish it would keep track of my last lesson, rather than having to search for the last location.

I paid for the membership and had made an account on the app in the past but forgot my password. So they sent me a link to change it but it won't take me to the place where I can changeit,and I have tried many times!! Help! Please!

The pace is spot on just right. Was using the Fender play but it has some big jumps that made it hard. I like the smaller steps, it works out great for me.
