I ordered 8 books in various languages and with a variety of very specific requests, which were fulfilled. The order arrived 4 days before expected and the books are gorgeous and of great quality.

Owned by Amit Garg of Gyan Books in New Delhi, the poorly nascent e-commerce venture was officially registered in 2023 not 1991 as claimed! They create shell companies by the dozens and depend upon Public Domain archives like worldlibrary dot org, worldlibrary dot net, archive dot org and Archive dot In, (i.e. India) a mirror site of archive dot org. They claim the millions of archived scanned books to be found in all Public Domain databases world-wide as "our 15,000,000 online inventory of ebooks". Gyan Books Private Limited are scammers of a higher order and inflates Public Domain PDF downloads like the wonderful March's Thesaurus Dictionary into a 3.1 gigabytes PDF from its original size of 159 Meg's.

Stay safe and stay far - A-wayyy, awayyyy! Deadly reptiles to deal with. Using bots and AI they have automated blocking my presence online in order for me and you not to have access to rich Public Domain ebooks which they subtly re-direct to their own storefront on Walmart's, eBay, Amazon.com, (as Gyan Books (P) Limited)! Across the WWW whenever you see their paywalls the prices they charge are $260 and $310 for their facsimile print-on-demand freely available Public Domain ebooks!

As the uploading profile "Public Resource" on archive dot org, u/KaiLung who hacks for Gyan Books.com on the dark web, they're working to plagiarize the exemplary Public.Resource.Org a verified non-profit owned by Carl Malamud!

Most of their crimes remain undisclosed and as a Moderator on r/Fantasy on Reddit, he erases my posts as I try to report him to all of head Admins because he is a convincing imposter to his fellow mod-team members who he makes certain to keep in the dark.

He uses so many sock-puppet accounts that he'll even begin subreddits and post as the original OP then respond to himself through multiples of other sock puppets' accounts. Check out "Soupina" one of his beloved sock puppets; he accompanies it with the eternal Avatar plus [deleted]. He is certain that none will ever discover his depredations.

It is an outsized Financial Scheme that he's working on the common nationals across the entirety of the Internet!

Dismiss his 5 *****'s ratings, he and his in-house people wrote every - single - one!
I've been victimized by him daily for 10 years. He is working on my Gmail account right now!

They pirated my university undergraduate thesis, and are posting it as a book online- for a PRICE! You can read it on academia.edu for FREE (if you make an account). This thesis is free-to-read and free for others to use as a reference point for their own studies. Waking up to see that my thesis had been plagarised was a nightmare.

Its title is "The Annihilation Of Kill La Kill's Empire Of Clothing A Theme Analysis", and shows up as one of the first yielded result on google; yet my acutal thesis has been removed from google search results. Which is despicable. Neither my academia.edu edition nor the Archive edition shows up online- which is deeply harrowing. They won't share my paper, yet advertise the scam bookseller who is pinching my free product to make a buck.

they list books they don't end up sending & they have a habit of cancelling whole orders - but only AFTER you've waited weeks.
chasing them up is futile. they rarely reply & more than once had to go to paypal to recover the money they held onto even though i was 'refunded'.
went back twice as once upon a time, while customer service was still poor, they had a good range for rare books but now, seemingly their catalogue is purely for show...
suffice to say, i won't use them again & definitely suggest avoiding them - it's just now worth the stress...

Gyan Books Pvt Ltd and gyanbooks dot com is a small and criminal enterprise trying to make Amit Garg the owner, into a Public Domain multiple-archived- ebook-collection (Gargantuan) facsimile print-on-demand empire to rival Jeff Bezos'!

They have gamed Google's SEO for years since 2018 or so by using Google's numerous vulnerabilities and hired confirmed dark web skills to push gyanbooks dot com to the top, everywhere.

I deal with them daily for they are still hacking me...

They have done nothing ethical in their hunger to rip off the poor American Public along with researchers and writers of every stripes. What you see today has been years in the making and they are plagiarizing Public Domain ebooks on almost every platform!

Well look at that -- a 3.1 gigabyte download for a 120 megabytes ebook! Wow, such ethics! Such transparency! Not to mention that they are still compromizing my Twitter, Google and all of my other accounts -- right now!

These files are all DRM locked with software that Archive.org is not aware of. Brewster Kahle, the founder of Archive.org, seems to be unaware of these depredations! This abuse is being effected, at least from the first, via the Indian mirror site Archive.in!
Archive.in seems to be behaving badly, if you can get to it at all!

There's more! Gyan Books Pvt Ltd has completely co-opted (Plagiarized) Carl Malamud's non-profit website Public Resource Org, claiming some non-existent equal partnership of which there is no public record!

Amit Garg's gyanbooks.com is making a killing selling print-on-demand facsimile copies like Public Domain archives and is charging high prices. His hackers are gaming Google's SEO to get the students and journalists returning. Some books he sells for $100's of US dollars worldwide. This is a great business model. He is hiding the most valuable books from the public's view. He uses u/KaiLung on Reddit to steal new books from innocent victims. His piracy sites like epdf.pub, libraryofbook.com and many like libgen.io are heavily trafficked. Study gyanbooks.com, the Google result for "Is Gyan books print-on-demand legit? And take note that I had his spamming removed from the Reddit platform. The OP's question was by u/KaiLung himself and every following comment and its reply was from his hand.

Reddit confirmed this and removed his frauds but it hasn't slowed his impostures. He exists under hundreds of sock puppets accounts and is in every pie on Reddit. He is a Moderator for r/Fantasy!

He is also, "u/AbsoluteNobody", and hangs heavily in the r/Hacking_Tutorial group and r/Hacking under different names. Find him there under a white alien with shoulder turned, beside which is his signature, [deleted].

Use his skills study where he hangs out and make yourself very rich as he is quietly doing!

It is a fraud store. I bought 3 book set . The delivery never happened. Its total fraud.

I should have looked at reviews before... I bought a book advertised on their website and then got an email saying they don't have it... I'm out of pocket here. Wtf

I wanted to make a book from an out-of-print reference book about figs. I found "Gyanbooks" on Google and contacted them. They responded to my email quickly. It was not a terribly expensive project - US$50ish. They later contaacted me via email telling me some issues they were having with the pdf they were working from - some of the pages were not going to fit completely. I told them I wanted this book as a reference, not as a collector, and the entire book had to be legible. I sent them another pdf of the same book without those issues They accepted it and gave me the option of color plates, as in the original, or black and white for a little less $. They kept me abreast of their progress. I had first contacted them April 11, 2025 and just received the book today, May 23rd, 2025 - India to WA State, USA. The book binding is beautiful. The font is quite large and very readable - that had been one of my concerns. It is complete. Every page is readable. The paper is decent weight, but I won't know if it is low acid for a while - that will be something I'll be paying attention to should I desire to do this again. But so far delighted I am very much delighted with Gyanbooks work!

I am a writer and had an online presence. In 2017 I was hacked by Gyan Books Pvt Ltd, (gyanbooks.com).

I located a special reference in a deep archive and proved its provenance by calling the Library of Congress who allowed me to reissue it. They warned me of the limits that came with the enterprise and I went to Google to start a marketing project and also debuted the find on Twitter. It was well received and little did l know that the sharks were circling.

Amit Garg, the claimant of gyanbooks.com, allowed his hackers to mangle my @MongoPark, Twitter account and steal the title of the book along with my identity, then begin selling it the following day.

They hack from New Delhi and Karnataka and are a fraudulent vanity publisher and own numerous piracy sites! Epdf.pub is one such.
Fineprints.com downloads trackers and malware. They have weaponized worldlibrary.org with an insecure ( http:// ) rather than the safe ( https:// ). They also used .aspx additions to render sites unviewable.

Libraryofbook.com can be a dangerous site, so, be cautious. They are an absolutely dangerous outfit misrepresenting themselves as a reputable publisher, having fingers in hundreds of different types of websites in a bizarre display. They claim to be bookbinders, print-on-demand experts, facsimile printers, main-stream publishers, etc.

They kept me offline for months at a time by changing my social accounts' passwords relentlessly. They depleted my repeated bank accounts and make it their project to track me online. From my checking accounts they take $795.00, $395.00, $300.00, and they took my entire account of 10 ISBN numbers purchased from Bowkers for $295.00 only last week!

They have been using them in New Delhi from what I can gather.

Stay away from Gyan Books Pvt Ltd and also Gyan Books.com. They have a presence on Reddit.

See this $7000.00 valued publisher, gyanbooks.com on siteindices.com and study their descriptors.

They can challenge me openly, anywhere, anytime!

I am the author and copyright holder and this is a pirate website. They are a fraud and steal the legitimate work of authors. Do not do business with this firm.

I really do not understand how Gyan Books work. Apparently they send the link to download the file from We transfer. But I see no link. It is extremely difficult to use. They do respond and apologise but I still do not have the e book. I asked for a refund.

The owner of this Indian facsimile book seller hacked me and took a private title from my restricted profile page and then immediately began to sell it. Gyanbooks is a fraudulent enterprise and has added permanent malware to my multiple electrical devices. He has dishonest sites selling stolen titles, such as, epdf.pub.
The reviews here on Trustpilot are all written by the same hand using sock puppets and his New Delhi staff are online predators. Whenever you contact them, they request immediately to download software onto your phone or laptop before they can assist you.

They have written in-house, the good and the bad reviews on this review platform because because someone called them out for plagiarism.

AVOID Gyan Books Pvt Ltd like the plague. He goes by u/KaiLung on Reddit and is a moderator for the Fantasy sub-reddit of the books section.

In order to hide further he has erased all bad reviews on reddit and has replaced them with his own reviews both good and bad!

Epdf.pub is a theft portal and most best sellers are hidden there in the search box. Information is available for those who want more proof.

I was looking for the Roget's International Thesaurus 1834 addition online and came across a posting from these folks. They showed the product in hardback and ebook. I chose the ebook, which under normal circumstances would be an instant delivery. Not with them, they sent an email confirming the order and said it would be shipped to me. (What?) after sending an email requesting a link for my ebook, they eventually sent a link to a totally different thesaurus 1911 version which was not acceptable. After another email to them, they responded saying that they only had the year that they sent me on file. (What?) These are digital files, so why don't you have what you advertise?
I'm glad I paid with PayPal, it allowed me to get my $$$ back without drama!

I ordered three books and billed for same but was delivered 2 books one missing. I do not know that if this is their policy of business to cheat online buyers. I wrote to gyan store but no reply.

On 27.06.2024, At last they accepted their mistake and refunded me my money.

I have only used the print on demand service.

I ordered over 15 books with them (since I think 2018) using both their website directly and their Abebooks profile. This is likely about 5 or 6 orders in total.

All books arrived in good condition, on time, and are of really good quality for the price (paperback, hardback, and leatherbound).

I use some of these books professionally: very frequently, sometimes for hours multiple days in a row.
The books are neither damaged, nor worn despite this intensive use.

I have not used their customer service for a complaint, and cannot say if it is good or not.

I definitely recommend.

The book I ordered arrived late. The spine foiling is crooked, the cover boards are warped, the end papers were not secure and the text block was a cheap photocopy and distorted to boot. Never again.

Excellent Service. Very satisfied with purchase. I was looking for a book printed originally in 1872 and is the memoirs of an ancestor of mine. I already had a copy of the original book but wanted another for other family members. I posted a search for it on Abe books and received an alert that Gyan books could provide me with a copy on 7th January 2024, placed an order on 9th January and received it today 27th January

Only read the awful reviews on here, after I had ordered it, so was not expecting anything much, if at all and was feeling foolish for ordering it.

What a relief!! It was exactly as described, beautifully bound with a leather cover and well put together, with good quality paper. I am also delighted that the book is slightly bigger than the original, with a font size which is much easier to read than the original which had tiny writing

They had the exact rare book that I wanted. I was able to pay with PayPal. The book arrived in about 2 weeks and is just what I wanted. I am very happy with the purchase.
