Loved our experience doing HPHB, we learned so much from the course and met some great people along the way. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone. It was also really valuable having an actual midwife leading the sessions, as we could draw directly on their up-to-date knowledge and get answers to questions that are really relevant in hospitals today.

I was sold the Happy Parents Happy Baby course because of their flexibility if a class was missed, with the understanding that it may be possible to attend the missed session in another cohort.

I missed two classes and asked whether I could attend the missed sessions in another/current cohort. I explained that this had previously been allowed for another mum recently, even when classes were fully booked.

In my case, a place remained unsold well into the course, but I was refused because the place would need to be removed from sale. HPHB later said their current policy is that places cannot be transferred between cohorts once a course is underway.

I found this disappointing and inflexible, particularly as the flexibility I was recommended for was not offered in practice. The classes I did attend did not have much substance to them and seem extremely overpriced.

I need to write a trust pilot review for Happy Parents, Happy Baby.

My husband and I attended the Raynes Park course over 5 weeks. As they were were midwife led, all the sessions were really informative and covered a range of topics from practical baby first aid led sessions and baby care (how to feed/swaddle/bath) etc, to hypnobirthing and aftercare for mums post-birth. I really enjoyed the practical elements of the classes, and being able to give certain 'actions' a go, even if they were a little intense at times. Our midwife, Laura, also set to dispell some of the common myths around having a baby which was really helpful and informed some of our buying decisions.

One of the bests parts of the course was the midwife's ability to ensure we all felt like a tribe and continued to encourage us to form bonds outside of the course. I hope this will continue now we have 'graduated' and are all expecting our little ones.

Can’t recommend Happy Parent Happy Baby antenatal classes enough. On top of the in person classes each week there was also optional online learning and a Q&A session tailored to the topics for the week meaning we got so much useful information each week. The in person sessions were great as they were focused on the learning but tailored in a way for social interaction with other couples in the group which was really nice.

We are really pleased we chose the happy parents happy baby course, we chose this course as it provided balanced content of different birth choices, pain relief and feeding and focused on ensuring parents were well informed with medical facts so could make their own decisions on what is best.

Also the practical sessions on baby first aid were invaluable and have given us confidence that we would know what to do and not panic in an emergency.

Other friends recommended alternative courses to create other mum and dad friends but I feel with HPHB we made a circle of friends with babies due within weeks of each other and also learnt valuable practical skills across the range of topics.
We would highly recommend to any expectant parents.

HPHB has been such a lovely experience, really great content, great structure of the course and the lovely midwife leading our sessions made it feel relaxed but ensured the sessions were informative and we got the most from it. Felt very comfortable to ask questions and we learnt lots in preparation for our first baby! The group size was perfect to get to know other couples and we all get along super well already, we have already had a meal all together.
Would definitely recommend HPHB to anyone expecting their first baby, well worth the money and overall really enjoyable!

We recently did the Happy Parents Happy Baby class and would definitely recommend it. The host was brilliant—really friendly and easy to talk to, and they answered every question clearly without ever making anything feel silly or rushed.

The course covered a lot, from birth right through to early baby care, and it felt like a good mix of practical tips and useful information. We especially found the section on pain relief during birth helpful and it gave us a much better understanding of our options and really supported us in putting together our birth plan.

One of the best parts was meeting other like-minded couples who are expecting at the same time. It’s nice to feel like you’re part of a little community and to have people to share the experience with.

Overall, it’s a really worthwhile class—not just for the info, but for the confidence and connections you come away with.

From start to finish it was great. Really well prepared content, in person, online material and q&a online webinars. Super knowledgeable host, met some great connections. Massively recommend. Also was awesome it being held in one of the best pubs in our areas, always get to have scheduled pints in for a few weeks!

We booked Happy Parent, Happy Baby when we found out we didn't get anything as standard through the NHS.

Booking was really simple and stress-free. Once I signed up, everything I needed was sent over clearly, and I got access to the online portal about a week before it all started, which made things feel really organised.

One of my favourite parts was the videos before each session. They were so helpful in giving me a heads-up on what to expect, and I liked having the time to think things through and come up with questions beforehand.

The in-person session was great too. It felt really relaxed and informative. We went into more detail and actually got to practise what we’d learned, which made a big difference. The course leader Louise, was lovel, super knowledgeable but also really approachable, and she made sure everyone felt comfortable asking questions at any point.

The Thursday Q&A sessions were another highlight. It was nice knowing they were recorded in case you couldn’t make it, and having specialists there meant we could get really helpful answers. It also gave me a chance to ask things I’d thought of after the in-person session.

Overall, I had such a positive experience with Happy Parent, Happy Baby. I feel so much more confident going into this next stage, and it genuinely made me feel more prepared. I also love that there’s a reunion planned once all the babies are here. It’s such a nice touch and something I hadn’t seen with other antenatal classes.

I’d honestly recommend Happy Parent, Happy Baby to anyone thinking about antenatal classes.

Bryony was absolutely fantastic sharing her own personal experience as well as always being available for extra questions and guidance. The course was ran really well, the interactive activities were so helpful and there were so many online resources too! Couldn’t recommend enough!

An excellent course with so much information that has made me feel much more prepared for birth and beyond! It was also a great way to meet other parents in the area.

Really informative course and loved how hands on and practical it was, bonus was getting to meet and connect with all the other expecting parents!

Great antenatal course! Would recommend!

We took the HPHB classes in Haywards Heath and they were amazing. Lauren was so personable and approachable, making the sessions light hearted and sociable but super informative. She always took the time to answer any questions we had and explained things so clearly. The range of topics covered has made us feel much more prepared for baby’s arrival and the online portal helped give us a bit of knowledge prior to each session so we knew what sort of things we would be learning and could go equipped with any questions we might have. Would definitely recommend to other soon-to-be parents!

Fantastic course, well organised and a lovely knowledgeable midwife and Mum herself (Gemma) leading the classes. Very sociable and facilitated making new baby friends in a relaxed way!

We had such an amazing time at happy parents happy baby learning new skills and met some lovely new parents. Georgie was our course lead and she was really reassuring especially with first aid elements. So worth it to get us ready for the next chapter and feel like we have a local support network. Would recommend to everyone, thank you!

All I can say was this course was so worthwhile! It was so informative, great value for money and my husband & I learned so much. We thought we knew a lot but the course covered areas in which we had no idea or even considered. The first aid was the best part and we now feel prepared in case of an emergency! The videos, in-person sessions and zoom was fantastic. Everyone was lovely and shout out to Casey, our in-person lead! She was hilarious, informative, encouraging and helped alleviate concerns. I highly recommend HPHB!

The instructor was great - friendly, non judgmental and knowledgeable. The first 2 sessions covering birth were fantastic. However, the next 2 sessions covering post birth were very rushed and it felt like they crammed too much in. A 5 min talk on breastfeeding followed by 5 mins of group chat on the subject barely scratched the surface! It felt like we were racing through some really important topics I.e. mental health was covered in about 5 mins at the very end of the final session. The session 5 ‘social’ is such a wasted opportunity. Essentially, you’re provided with an empty room. There needs to be something with this session e.g. a quiz on everything you’ve learnt, a drop in session with the instructor or a free drink. I agree with other reviews RE group size. We had 28 people on our course which was far too many for the room size. There were people that we never got to speak to! Overall, it’s a lot of money for not enough learning (especially given ‘session 5’ isn’t actually a session!).
