Robert has helped us in trying to find our missing cat. He contacted me immediately after receiving my message requesting help, within the hour we had a plan, when to come down, what the search would entail etc.. At a time when I was stressed and at a loss at what to do Robert brought a calm, methodical approach to try and help me. Robert was in contact while travelling the long distance to us, keeping me fully updated, he then conducted his search which had clearly been thoroughly planned, keeping me updated throughout. Unfortunately, we could no locate our cat, however we are in such an incredibly rural area, the chances are so slim. He also spoke with neighbours and searches local barns. Robert remained in contact and then kindly asked his colleague to come down again at night to try and find our cat with night vision kit, sadly this was also unsuccessful. Robert has stayed in contact daily, provides advice and reassuring support throughout. Whilst we have not found Samuel, we still keep trying with Robert's support and we are truly grateful and at times when, as an owner, you are so upset, Robert is someone that listens and genuinely tries to help.

Gosh where do I begin…. One of our beautiful Maincoon was stolen. From the beginning we knew someone had taken her. 10 days in to her being lost someone mentioned happy tails detective. I messaged late that evening and after only 10 minutes Robert had called me. Within 24 hour he drove from Liverpool to Reading to start the investigation.

Him and his team worked HOURS, DAYS, WEEKS on our case. They went above and beyond to help find Crystal.

Anytime I needed to speak with Robert he answer any message or questions I had about Crystal and the investigation. He was extremely empathetic ( but also realistic ) and so supportive. I feel like I own this team my heart for finding our baby!

3 weeks later she was found! If it wasn’t for you guys we probably would have never found her!

Robert was immediately very focused on finding my dog Bonnie. Upon meeting him it was clear he knew exactly what to do and what options to explore. He was also very communicative and always kept me updated on what was going on. The search for Bonnie was a success and I can categorically say that Bonnie would not have been returned without Robert. My experience with him was second to none and I’m eternally grateful.

After the heartbreak of having our dog Oscar stolen in December. We Hired Robert Kenny after a few days he brought us the best possible ending—Oscar was safely recovered. We are beyond grateful to Robert who helped spread the word and supported us during an incredibly stressful time. Robert shown us compassion, persistence & love throughout this order. Having Oscar back home where he belongs is the greatest gift we could have received just in time for Christmas . Thank you from the bottom of our hearts we cant thank you enough.

We lost our little Olive in October and hired Robert Kenny a month afterwards from a facebook recommendation (I didn't know Pet detectives existed prior to that). His fee was lower than a lot of the others and his response time was incredible. He called me straight up to organise when he could come- arriving the next day on Sunday morning after driving all the way from up north. He was very kind and obviously loves animals. He searched all the surrounding areas and personally looked in my neighbours sheds and gardens (I think this is quite difficult to ask so having someone in uniform requesting access was super helpful). We didn't have any luck finding her and there were no sightings. He subsquently organised 2 night searches and has been in touch and checking in ever since with new ideas and tactics. I really believe he's trying to help and I can't express how helpful it is having him lead the search especially when I was feeling so overwhelmed and helpless. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you what to do and reassure you that you're doing everything you can. I would recommend this service to anyone in need. He's made a huge difference even though we haven't yet got her back.

We hired Robert Kenny when our cat went missing. My husband, who was CID at the time was most impressed with his service from start to finish, as was I. We didn't know what to expect, never having used one before. Do not expect a Disneyesque character in Robert, he is a straight talking, no nonsense man who deals with the worst of human beings within his role. Social media found our cat whilst his investigation was under way. He wavered his fee to a cat charity because of this. Heaven forbid we lose another, but if we do, we would have NO hesitation in using this service again.

My Wife Left Our Dog Chester with Petsitters in November and while on a Walk he escaped the harness. We were on holidays in Tenerife and received the call a day later. We enlisted the help of Happytailsdetective.co.uk and thankfully they recovered Chester after a 9 hours search 4.3 Miles away. Excellent Service

In the lead-up to Christmas, my wee heart was broken when my lovely cat Charlie went missing. I honestly didn’t know where to turn, but I’m so glad I found Robert from Happy Tails Detective.

From the very first message, he was kind, reassuring, and totally professional. He went above and beyond — even stayed an extra day without charging me just to help bring Charlie home. That kind of care and honesty is rare these days.

You can tell he genuinely loves animals and really cares about what he does. Thanks to him, we got our boy back safe and sound, and that meant the world to us, especially at Christmas time.

I can’t recommend Robert enough — reliable, kind, and an absolute star. If you’re ever in this awful situation, he’s the person you want helping you.

Don’t bother. The alleged pet detective is unprofessional and dishonest. Please do yourself a big favour by looking for your pet yourself and don’t trust this ‘company’. Also, he kept showing off about how much money he had. He couldn’t care less about your pet.

I am one of many vulnerable missing-pet owners who has had a deeply disappointing experience with this man.

Yes, his website highlights heartwarming reunion stories but my personal experience revealed a complete lack of compassion, which is shocking from someone who claims to be an animal lover helping others in crisis.

I was referred to him by a fellow pet owner and reached out for help. From the start, my email was barely read, my accessibility needs were dismissed, and I had to insist my request even reach "Robert," the senior pet detective. His response was a curt, transactional email: he would only conduct a four-hour search, quoting £620 including travel despite being locally based and despite their social media actively advertising 30% off feline services, which he ignored when I referenced it.

The message was clear: he wasn’t interested in helping us, just in quoting a fee he knew we couldn’t manage. It felt cold, dismissive, and profit-driven. Speaking later to the person who originally recommended him, even they admitted his attitude toward grieving pet owners was poor.

In a time of heartbreak, the last thing missing-pet owners need is someone who makes you feel like an inconvenience. I would not recommend putting your trust or your hard-earned money into his hands. Our family is still living the nightmare of our missing girl, and his lack of kindness only made that pain worse.

He may advertise compassion, but in my experience, he does not practice it.
