A truly fantastic experience with Alastair flying owls & hawks. I would highly recommend going along to fly the birds, have fun & learn so much.

Alistair certainly takes time to make sure everyone in the group gets their turn flying these majestic birds & gets the perfect photo opportunity, his love of these birds and his knowledge certainly shines through.

What a fabulous day!! I initially bought this experience as a birthday gift for my husband and was going to attend as a spectator as i'm a 4 legs and fur as opposed to 2 feet and feathers kind of girl but after making an initial enquiry was advised to book as a participant and I am so glad that I did. What a truly fabulous time. Alistair was fantastic, the love and respect he has for these beautiful creatures was very clear and he was amazing and made sure that everyone in the group got ample time not only flying the birds but made sure all got plenty of photo opportunities. He was kind, patient and knowledgeable and made us laugh with funny anecdotes. Highly highly recommended. Thank you for a fabulous day and some amazing memories

Bought this for a 60th birthday present for my dad and I went along as a spectator. I honestly had a really great time and cannot recommend highly enough. The groups are kept small which give everyone a great amount of time with the birds. Alistair was fantastic and a guy that really loves what he does. I would like to go back another time. A great experience

Communication was excellent from the start via e mails and texts from the company.
On the day the whole experience was unrushed with plenty of time for questions and time with the wonderful birds. Alastair has a relaxed, informative style that made the experience so enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone, young and old, who has even the slightest interest in birds of prey. It was a real privilege to be so close and handle these amazing birds.

My son was bought an experience voucher for his birthday (11 years old) he absolutely loved his entire day. Seeing all the birds and handling them, he is so full of facts about all the birds and naming them like they were his friends.

Never done falconry before but what an experience thoroughly enjoyed it.Alistair brings his knowlege and experience with his birds to life. Being in small groups allows you to have plenty of interaction . Value for money. I would like to return for a longer session with different birds.

Started the day with some hints and tips to help improve quality and composition of shots. The remainder of the day was over to photographing different birds in a variety of locations. Learned so much on the day thanks to Steve. Alistair's knowledge and welfare of the birds is second to none. Have 100s of photos to work through. Highly recommend, a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Excellent day out. Very informative and enjoyable and being able to handle the birds, rather than just watching, makes a great inactive experience. Very nice setting sometimes in the enclosed garden, others a gentle walk around the forest with the birds following us and landing on our arms!

Excellent 2 and a bit hours spent in the company of Alistair. Very knowledgeable and keen for us to know what he knew in a very informative and enjoyable way. Would recommend this highly.

Loved the day. Really beautiful, very well cared for birds under the control of a very knowledgeable and experienced falconer. Alistair took a lot of time and care to make sure everybody got to know the birds and were able to take some great shots of them. Steve, the professional photographer, was friendly, helpful and patient in giving detailed advice on technical aspects of the photography.

Alistair I would just like to thank you for one of the best 2 hours I have spent in a long long while. Your enthusiasm and love of your birds comes across really well, and it was a privilege to be part of Hawkeye Falconry experience. I absolutely loved every minute and was amazed and in ore of the birds, I would love to be you. I think I can truly say that I will be back in the future as the 2 hours just isn't enough as it goes so quickly. Once again thank you for a truly magical experience.

My experience was amazing, Alastair was very friendly and knowledgeable his love for the birds in his care shines through. The experience is really good value for money it’s interactive from start to finish and the surroundings at Thoresby are beautiful. I shall be doing it again.

A great afternoon. Alistair was very knowledgeable about the birds and had many interesting stories to tell.
The small group gave us each the opportunity to handle the birds and take pictures. Set in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend this experience.

It was lovely to have an opportunity to meet, and handle, a selection of beautiful birds od prey. Alistair was very informative and clearly loves what he does. The venue was excellent and the sun was shining. Rocky was the star of the show for me!

We were given this experience as a Christmas present so we didn't really know what to expect. It far exceeded any expectations we had! You arrive in beautiful Thorsby park where there is loads of parking, even today on Good Friday, it was relatively quiet. Then there is a short walk, just under 1/2 mile to the Aviaries. We were met there by Alistair who is such a friendly guy & made us feel very welcome. There were 11 people in our group, of which we were 4. First we met Milo (the Owl) and the kids got to have a go at getting him to fly to them in the Barn, this was great but then it got even more exciting! We got to go into a wooded area and then a large walled garden where we got to fly all sorts of different Owl's, Hawks & a Kestrel. It was a beautiful sunny day too which added to the experience. I would highly recommend this experience. You just have to remember to get a £3 parking token from the lady in the visitors centre on the way out to release the barrier for the carpark.
