If I could give 0 stars, I would. I waited for 2 full hours — I arrived at 12:59pm and have a rental agreement with a timestamp of 3:02pm. The reservation started at 1pm. When I finally got my car, the car had been sitting in the pouring rain with the driver’s side and passenger’s side windows rolled all the way down. The seats were soaked. We drove 2.5 hours in soaking wet seats,

perfect! The staff were super helpful and kind. They were really great.

Booking process and customer service is great. Returning could be a lil better. Cars are clean. No issues. Always a good experience with Hertz.

I returned my vehicle at 8am, one hour before my scheduled return time. I received an emailed receipt at 10:18am indicating I had returned the vehicle at that time, with a $27 surcharge for the additional hour. I was able to rectify the issue with Hertz customer service, but that was extra time and effort I should not have to have spent.

Incredibly slow service, little customer service. I always regret renting from this Hertz, which is disappointing because it is convenient and I am a long-time Hertz Gold member. They are always understaffed and incredibly slow-moving. I waited over an hour for my rental car last time. There is no communication. They let me wait in the wrong line for 20 minutes, all to send me to the right line in which 6 people had since shown up and were now in front of me. When I finally got my car assigned, I waited another 15 minutes until someone actually pulled it up to me and took pictures of it before I could leave the garage.

The car was returned on time but the employees at the location did not document the return until three days later. I am now stuck trying to undo this mistake which has tripled the cost of my original rental.

I was seen right away without having to wait on a very long line. The customer service rep was very nice and helpful.

Wait time is always a horrible experience at this Hertz location.

I initially did not get the car I wanted but it wasn't that big of a deal as the replacement was okay for what was needed. However, returning the car was horrible. Firstly, I was celebrating getting into law school and used (very obviously) car chalk and was talked down to by the guys at the rental return saying it was inappropriate to "write on the car" even after being told it's commonly used chalk and can be washed off with water. Secondly, we left house keys on the key chain and no one gave us a call, did not answer our multiple (7+ calls) a day (calls immediately hang up & no option for voicemail), and then gave us a hard time when we came in person. Lastly, I was overcharged for my rental. I had the car about 4 days but was charged for 7. I should have been charged between $300-400 and instead was charged close to $900. The manager said I would get my refund days ago and I have yet to see anything on my credit card.

I reserved the smallest car. When I got there they only had 7 passenger vehicles. I did not want to drive basically a limousine through the streets of NYC/upstate, not to mention how much gas would cost. But I had to take what I could get. They gave me a car with a dying key fob. The key fob died and we were stranded because the car would not turn on without it. We walked over a mile to replace the battery ourselves. There was no cap on the back left tire air valve and the tire leaked the entire trip. We had to fill it multiple times because we kept getting a “low PSI” message. We called 3 different hertz locations to see if we could switch the car out. Only one answered and they had no cars. Hertz has yet to respond to my claim with any help. DO NOT USE HERTZ.
