The person attending me was doing his job great

First i was given the wrong car Rubicon when I picked up my 4 week rental, then after I traded down to a small suv Rogue after Labor day, the rental rate was not adjusted down, then I extended the rental period for what I understood would be no cost. When I returned the car a few days early I was charged $233 extra. After complaining at the rental location I was told to call the office. After calling the office and explaining the long story, the operator told me her team would handle the adjustment in a couple of days. Four days later I get an email saying the original overcharge is correct with no adjustment. When I respond to the email, another person emails me stating an $82 refund is being made “to help resolve the matter”. Horrible customer service, broken promises, pure example of corporate greed. So much for being part of the President’s Circle. I can’t imagine how you treat regular members.

Very convenient location, and I’m glad there’s an option outside of the airport area. The only downside is that they’re closed during the weekend, but the service was so great that it was still worth it. Picking up the car was easy, and even though I wasn’t on time for my scheduled pickup, there was no problem at all. The process was simple and quick, and I got my rental car right away.

The return process was equally great and very quick. I was even able to return the car earlier than my scheduled drop-off time! The staff were very nice, kind, and helpful, and I didn’t have a single problem throughout the entire process. The car was clean and exactly what I had selected when I made the reservation. Overall, a very smooth and pleasant rental experience, highly reccoment and will rent again in the future!

Was given a car with a major mechanical issue. Had to postpone my work trip which resulted in loss hours. Customer service was horrible. Bad first time experience. No one ever followed up on my case number

Rented a car for a one way trip to the airport. It was quick and extremely convenient. The customer service was excellent.

First, the time before a rep came online was 10+ minutes. Overall, I thought the rep had gotten the job done. She told me I could return the car after hours to the Mira Mesa HLE site in San Diego. I need to cancel and the system won't let me view, change or cancel the reservation. "Error Return Date or Time - This location is closed at the time indicated. Please adjust your return or select an alternate location." So the rep made an error? The system can't allow a cancellation? I called Hertz to cancel. Started call at 11:32. The AI didn't recognize my name or confirmation number even though it repeated both back correctly. Jay at the call center found everything and after 15 minutes (2 for the AI, 11 hold time), he resolved the issue. I gave 1 star, but I would have given 0. Can't view, modify or cancel online? Fail. AI can't find reservation or my name? Fail. Long hold time? Fail. And if I don't say "Mira Mesa HLE," Hertz support staff struggle or can't find the location. Fail. Based on the system, no after hour drop off exists. Fail. Tell Hertz - Do better.

Staff was very helpful and pleasant Little to no wait time

Nick was wonderful. He gets 5 stars. The company, 1 star. I booked a pick up truck, drove a half hour to pick it up and was offered SUV. I was picking up something and needed the truck. Nick called several other branches but no pick up truck in the area was available.

Prompt service, very clean car, the worker was both friendly and efficient
One downside: the website was a nightmare to work with.

Booked a car in Mira mesa San Diego and returned it in San Diego airport. The process was so quick in both locations I picked the car in 5 minutes and dropped it in 5 minutes and I headed to the airport using the shuttle bus. Great experience and great staff.

Convenient location. Reasonable price. Helpful staff.
