Really good selection of parts inâŠ
Really good selection of parts in particular Rega. My old 1985 Rega planar 3 just was keeping speed & sounded like a rundown wind up toy. Bought a new 24v motor & wow it hasn't sounded that good in years.
The only criticism I have is the instructions but that's Rega not HiFix.
There are 2 lots of sticky pads for different aged models but for my 1985 model I needed both sets of pads put together otherwise the belt was to high & rubbed on the glass platter & made it stop completely. Otherwise very happy with purchase. ððð»

A significant upgrade to my System
The Rega Fono MM MK5 was delivered to me on time and in perfect condition. The first thing I noticed when I connected it to my hifi system was how much 'blacker' and quieter the background is, allowing for a much cleaner and more detailed listen. It has a big, rich soundstage that makes my records feel more alive and immersive. For the price, itâs an outstanding piece of kit that has completely transformed my vinyl setup." I live in Coventry...
I live in Coventry, and was surprised to see that my CDt was sent to Leeds, then out for delivery but returned to Leeds. Hifix were really helpful when I contacted them, they sorted it out in no time.
I'm now the very proud owner of an Audiolab 9000q, 9000p and the 9000CDt. I retained my 7000n for streaming, as the 9000n is over £2000 which is silly money.
However, the sound I'm getting now through my stand mounted Wharfedales is absolutely amazing, so much better than my old Roksan/(pre-loved) PMC set-up (or the Audiolab 7000a) that even my wife keeps saying how much more complete and real it all sounds than previously.
FYI, I use Chord cables, XLR and RCA Digital interconnects, which are much cleaner sounding than my older Atlas Equator cables and the synergy I've found sounds perfect to my old ears, despite the tinnitus the Army gave me.
