I spoke with Alice Rochester on a phone call after I’d made an enquiry on their website- she got back to me promptly and we began discussing designs for a pendant to mark the birth of my daughter.

We spoke about different options and Alice came back with some initial designs which were thoughtful and even included some additional designs in the same vein we spoke about. We settled on a design and Alice gave me some rough estimates for when the pendant would be ready - I enjoyed working with Alice and would recommend her!

Alice was very transparent on costs and on the breakdown of the work involved. I was told that Chung Shan would be working on my pendant and I can say that he has done incredible work and the craftsmanship is beautiful. I was very lucky to have him work on it!

My pendant was completed within the timeframe given and it looks honestly stunning and I am so happy with it! It will be a treasured heirloom to one day pass on down to my daughter.

A very nice experience meeting Emily and talking over the possibilities of redesigning my ring. We had a lot of discussions online before meeting in person, which suited me well as I don't live close by. She was very patient when I visited, and took time to refine and rework the design until I was happy with it. I'm thrilled with the result and happy that something that's been sitting in a drawer for years now has a sparkly new lease of life.

I had the pleasure of working with designer Emily at HK who designed a beautiful bespoke engagement ring.

My partner absolutely loved it and throughout the entire 8 month development process Emily & the team were incredibly supportive.

They were happy to make even the slightest adjustments and did not think twice to respond to any of my queries, not matter how minor. Emily's design changes were prompt and meticulously drawn out, with many iterations that had brilliant detail.

Even after the ring was made they were very accommodating in having us come to the shop to visually inspect the ring fitting and ensure whether or not they believed that it needs resizing.

From start to finish the process was incredible - the team were fantastic helping design something that I will cherish forever. The final result blew me away, more than I could have ever expected - absolutely perfect!

Having had my antique but badly damaged engagement ring reimagined, I decided to have my now too tight wedding ring remade to fit snuggly with it. Alec spent a long time helping me look at the various options and designs. His beautiful design drawings helped me visualise the finished product very well, and I am delighted with the results. Designing a bespoke dress ring using stones from my Mother's engagement ring and my engagement ring has been a personal and emotional task. Alec in the Cambridge shop proved a sensitive guide, listening to my ideas and drawing them into a beautiful design which the skilled team at the Hertfordshire workshop then turned into a stunning reality. I was kept in the loop during the process and the final ring was ready for the date requested so that I could wear it on my Dad's birthday in memory of him. It is a beautiful tribute to my late parents which I will wear every day with love.

I have just picked up two rings, beautifully redesigned from four inherited rings, by Alice from Harriet Kelsall. The experience was an utter treat, from the design process to receiving copies of the designs, CAD images and updates on how the rings were progressing. I am delighted with them, the craftsmanship is exquisite, and I can't stop looking at them!!

My sister and I had decided to recycle our inherited mother’s jewellery by redesigning it all into two rings. We met with Abigail Farquhar at Cambridge and after spending a lot of time discussing with us what might be possible she came up with two different designs for two separate rings for each of us. We were kept updated by Abigail and when the time came to collect them we were over the moon with the quality of workmanship and how the designs had come to life. We had a fantastic experience with Francesca and Alice at Harriet Kelsall. My fiancé and I decided that we wanted to design our engagement ring together and came up with some ideas from the HK website. We had a great design session where we went through each detail of what we wanted - Francesca was so helpful through each decision and put together a beautiful drawing for the design as we talked. The final ring has everything we wanted - we feel very lucky to have been able to incorporate everything we'd pictured, working with different options to stay within our budget. I honestly can’t stop staring at my new ring—it’s absolutely perfect. I wanted something really personal to represent my two children, and Harriet Kelsall has created something more beautiful than I ever imagined.

Enter Alec and the incredible team at HK's Cambridge studio. From the very first meeting, Alec's expertise and passion for his craft were evident. He guided us through the process with patience and understanding, transforming our vague ideas into tangible designs that took our breath away.

The experience was nothing short of magical. We watched as our vision came to life, each detail meticulously crafted to create rings that were as unique and meaningful as our journey. The team's dedication to their work was truly inspiring, and we felt supported every step of the way.

Tragically, we lost our mum in late 2024, just before the rings were completed. She had seen the designs and was so excited for us. We know she would have been absolutely blown away by the final creations, just as we were. These rings now carry even deeper significance, serving as a beautiful reminder of our family's love and the legacy of those who came before us.

We chose HK to design a pair of wedding rings with a clear and specific design, we travelled from Yorkshire to London to meet in person to ensure we were clear in our design specifications.
After the initial consultation, we felt rushed into agreeing the design as we were time limited (6 months) and left feeling slightly apprehensive and as though we didn’t have time to review and consider the design.
When the initial CAD design was sent through we questioned it immediately as it was so far from our design specifications in terms of size and structure of the rings and reminded the designer of the rings we had tried in store and the desire for the rings to feel delicate, but were reassured that the CAD built the ring heavier than it would seem when completed, to allow for polishing/finishing etc. Obviously HK is a well regarded and reviewed company so we took this advice in good faith. However, the rings we received were absolutely nothing like the rings we discussed at the design stage, and were reassured we would receive at CAD stage. (We have evidence of these discussions via email). We immediately got in touch with HK who reassured us there was lots to be done to get the rings to something we would love, however this was limited to reducing the dimensions of the rings slightly and when we questioned what our next steps were if we were still unhappy, we were told it was our fault for choosing the wrong design for us. We reminded the designers of the rings we had tried in store and how we had been so specific in our design spec, luckily we had taken photos at the sketch stage, as this evidenced that even the band was the wrong shape. The fit of the rings was also wrong, as we were told this was something they couldn’t advise on, unlike any other experience of buying rings/ having them fitted in any other jewellers.
The whole experience caused a significant amount of stress at what should have been a lovely time, and we decided to cut our (significant) loses and find another jeweller who managed to create lovely rings from them by removing most of the ring and completely changing the style of ring, he was also shocked at the design and finish, particularly considering the amount we had paid.
Eventually we decided to buy new wedding rings as the whole experience was so tarnished.
We would strongly advise anyone to find a small independent jewellers, we wasted £5000 on these rings, including trying to get them to a point we were happy to wear. After the service we received from an independent jeweller we would strongly advise anyone to avoid this company and find a smaller, independent jewellery designer that will respond appropriately to your concerns at any stage of the design process.

We were in contact immediately upon receipt of the rings, which were posted to us both times- we didn’t ‘take them home’ and we were told that you would be unable to make significant changes and would stick to the design but would reduce it somewhat, and we were told further to the changes if we still weren’t happy it was ‘unfortunately our fault for choosing the wrong design for us’. We made sure our feelings were very clear in emails and on the phone, our email sent 7th June stated ‘the rings are nothing at all like we feel we discussed at the design stage in terms of size and general bulkiness…the rings are the wrong profile…following concerns raised at the CAD stage you reassured us they wouldn’t look like that on completion…’
The rings did not meet our design brief, and we were badly advised at each stage.
You state you would have made sure to reach the best resolution for us, when in fact we were given limited options for how to proceed, contact then became minimal and we were unable to reach anyone easily. (This was 7 weeks to go before our wedding) Certainly not the level of concern and service you claim we would have received. We were explicit in our conversations with the designer and used examples of rings already in store to clarify and perfect what we wanted.
I would be happy to provide evidence in the form of emails in order for you to see where your staff have clearly lacked the level of service you describe, rather than subtly laying the blame with us for not communicating with your company.

They also got it made in the few weeks we gave them before we fly off to celebrate x

We recently purchased a bespoke wedding ring from HK Jewellery Cambridge but unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations, especially given the significance of the purchase. I was initially torn between two half sizes for the ring and followed the guidance of the store manager Amy, although she argued that was not the case. I have a ring I wear on the same finger which is much wider so asked the size of that ring (as it fits well) and she told me a thinner band would be different to the wide one so I therfore felt unsure and opted for the half size bigger as a result. When we collected the ring, it was far too big. Another lady in the store suggested I wore it for a while (strange thing to say considering it’s a wedding ring!) and it wasn’t going to change the size of it as it was gaping! We were then told it would cost £126 to resize it which is when we had a discussion about the fairness of that.

We expected understanding but instead faced unexpected resistance from the store manager Amy. She argued that no guidance was given and that it’s a decision the customer has to be sure of. The conversation became combative with her emphasising that resizing is only included for engagement rings (as they’re surprises), whereas wedding rings are "final” & if it’s wrong it’s charged because of the time of takes, essentially putting 100% resposibility on to the customer. She even pointed out that she was doing us a favour by getting it ready on time for our wedding (!) & we were asked if we had read the terms of service! It was quite unbelievable and stressful. It seems the style was right over wrong rather than listeing to the customer experience. I’ve had rings made before and it’s never an issue to resize (included in the cost) as the designers usually like to ensure the customer is happy.. This rigid policy felt misaligned with the bespoke service we would expect, especially for something as significant as a wedding ring.

Eventually, they did agree to resize the ring free of charge, but only after a challenging discussion & waiting to speak with someone else who wasn’t available. It cost us stress at a busy time and uncertainty that the ring would represent a negative expereince for us, or if we wanted it at all.
Given that wedding rings are highly personal and often involve difficult sizing decisions, all put upon the customer, I would suggest that HK reconsiders its policy to create a more understanding, customer-centered experience for a bride.

It cost us unnecessary stress and we wanted to remember the experience as something lovely and positive and it turned into something that was defensive which completely removed listening to the customer or delivering a good service.

If resizing was included, it would allow customers to feel confident in their choice and truly reassured with such an important purchase that of ‘they’ got it wrong, that it would not be problem. HK may want to remember that the bride and groom need a positive experience when purchasing a ring and that a wedding ring and engagement ring are all about the same important day, irrespective of assuming one or the other ar a surprise or not.
The end result was good and the ring now fits and we collected it from a very nice gentleman as the store manager was absent. The ring is lovely, although very expensive for what it is.

This could all have been avoided. I hope for the sake of a customer perspective, that HK revisists their resizing policy to ensure customers feel assured they are not to blame if the ring may require adjusting.

We searched various jewellers but none had the desired
colour sapphire I really wanted then I came across HK bespoke jewellery on a google search and the location was just over an hour away so I made an appointment and the studio was was beautiful set in stunning countryside surroundings we were greeted by Dalia and Chloe both made us feel so welcome the studio is very relaxing and your surrounded by the collaboration of the designers work very unique to each designer
Chloe drew my design and gave me measurements of each oval cut diamond and sourced a stunning violet radiant cut sapphire the setting was in white 18carat white gold
I was updated via e-mail during the whole process approximately 9weeks to completion
The finished item is beautiful beyond my hopes it’s so special as it’s a 45 th wedding anniversary present the whole team has worked wonderfully together with their skill set so I cannot thank or praise them highly enough if you really want a personal touch and choice from such skilled artisans HK has the complete package .

I had an amazing experience with the St Albans team designing my 21st birthday necklace! It was such a calm and patient environment where I could be indecisive and take my time with design, with the lady even printing off a diy design so I could see the size on my person. Necklace turned out beautiful and better than I imagined!
