Staff were very helpful

I ordered something for click and collect. Within a few hours I had a message that I could come to collect it, another saying I had collected it, another saying I had returned it and finally one saying that my refund would be processed in a few days. I can’t say this strongly enough- don’t accept my order and take my money if the product is not in stock. Don’t lie that I have collected and returned an item I never laid eyes on.

The best bit was the lovely chap who helped me out to the car.

Homebase staff aren’t pleasant. They treat you like you are an inconvenience. They don’t let you know what they are doing - they just wander off and you are left waiting - they may return, they may not. They chat to their mates. There’s no sense of urgency.

The products brought out that Id preordered for collection had staining on. They cost £100 so, not cheap. Chap’s didn’t care. It’s like they are doing you a favour by helping you.

Pay them more and swap to people more motivated to be in customer service .

Very fast efficient and well mannered

On 26 September 2024, I purchased 4 Chiswick Textured Pots (38cm, Green) from Homebase online. The following day, I received a text informing me that my order was ready for collection at the Haringey branch.

On Saturday, 28 September, I drove 45 minutes from Wembley to collect my order. When I arrived at the collection point, two staff members were chatting. After providing my order details, they checked and informed me that the items were not in stock. I explained that I had received a notification confirming the order was ready and that I had driven a long way. Upon checking again, they found two damaged pots.

Reluctantly, I had to purchase the damaged ones to avoid the trip being a total waste. Despite being 70 years old, I had to carry each pot to my car by myself as no assistance was offered.

I then drove another 45 minutes back home. After such a poor experience, I doubt I will ever shop at Homebase again.

Really easy purchase of a drill. Straightforward pay on line and collect in store.

More employees are needed to serve customers.

Not only were the staff ready with my order when I arrived to Click and Collect but they were very friendly and even helped me take it out to my car and load it for me.
Delighted!

No one on the shop floor to help or give advice. Very friendly cashier told me there were only 3 staff in the shop. He did not have any knowledge about products though. Went to Wickes instead.

Had a mix up with order sent into store Asif the store manager took it upon himself to sort it out personally - he did just that Brilliant customer service

Click and collect and get when we turned up they didn’t have the size pot we had bought. Homebase is just a shambles.

I hurriedly collected several items from the local Homebase, but did not check every single box as I had a car waiting. When I got home, one of the table lamps I bought, was missing the light bulb (one of the reasons I bought them). I tried to call the store immediately but there was no human response.

I will return both lamps tomorrow and hope to obtain a full refund. More annoyingly, you are delivering goods to my house tomorrow but couldn't deliver most of the items I ordered together, including these lamps, that I had to collect from the store.

Awful poor level of service and the manager Asif was just as disinterested in anything customers have to say cutting off in mid sentence after order was placed driver sent to collect goods and they do not have them in stock trying to sell a product that doesn’t even match

On August 15th, 2024, the manager named Prince at Homebase in Haringey, London, provided excellent and professional assistance with my enquiry and purchase. However, I am very disappointed to discover that the garden sofa set I bought from the display was faulty, with a ripped chair. To make matters worse, there are no replacements available in stores or on the website. Therefore, I do not recommend buying things from display unless at a reduced price accepting the faulty item at the time of purchase.

What I ordered and what I received is completely different.

Regarding an order of Cuprinol garden paint and Crown wood paint online there was good communication about click and collect and a simple transaction in the store. It was easy to find the Cuprinol paint on the website, but much more difficult to find the Crown paint. The order was available very quickly, and that has been my experience with previous purchases.

I need to wait for a long long time for the click and collect. One of the staff said the items had not arrived even though I have received a message that the items had arrived. I asked another staff after few minutes and he did find the items.

The item I went to collect was not as expected and seemed to be previous display items. I was offered a discount and when looking closer were worst than expected. I was then given a further discount which seemed very fair and generous. Very helpful man at customer service
