Poor quality of tap!
I recently installed a 3-way tap with water filter. The aerators began to malfunction days following installation.
Had the issue checked with 2 independent plumbers to ensure connections are OK, although knowing that this should not be the underlying problem
However Hommix support are being very unhelpful with the issue and not recognising that it is an issue with the tap aerator itself rather than the connections.
They have not provided a resolution to the problem to date and refusing to accept the actual issue.
If you are looking for high performance taps at such a price, look elsewhere for your kitchen project!

First of all. The picture in your showroom does not demonstrate a correct installation. I referred you to your own specification guide which shows the installation and the one I have. Furthermore your picture does NOT demonstrate anything as the tap can be rotated 360 degrees and therefore no difference if you take a picture from the front or behind the tap to demonstrate a correct installation.
Secondly, you never offered to send a technician to investigate. So please stop the lie.
Thirdly, an aerator which was working and stopped working correctly is an issue with the tap not the installation itself which you are concluding without evidence, but has been verified by plumbers at my expense! I have also explained to you that all water pipe connections are separate on the 3-way tap and all running on soft water.

As expected, the issue was due to an incorrect installation by the two different plumbers. There was no fault with the tap itself, aside from the aerator becoming disconnected due to the water pressure from the filter system.
I’m glad to hear that our technician sorted everything out and your tap is working perfectly.

Hi Ashley,
I had to jump in here - I’m Matt, one of the directors. Jay has been doing his best to assist you with this issue. I’d just like to clarify a few points:
1. You’re absolutely right that there appears to be an issue with the aerator connection. From what we can see, it looks like the tube for the filtered water has become disconnected from the aerator head. We’re more than happy to resolve this, which leads me to the next point.
2. An email was sent to you earlier today offering a free visit from our technicians to inspect and resolve the aerator issue this Thursday. The offer still stands. It seems the email may have been missed - it was sent on 16.03.2026 at 10:50am, so please double-check your inbox.
3. The tap is designed to swivel 360 degrees. However, after reviewing the video you provided, pushing the handles backwards to turn the water on clearly indicates that the tap has been installed the wrong way around. While the neck can swivel, using it in this position is very inconvenient and it's not how any of the images display this, except one very old image, which has now been removed.
We are doing our best to help resolve this situation. To move forward, we’ll need your cooperation. Our team is offering to fix the aerator issue and correctly reposition the tap so it functions as intended.
Please let us know if you’d like us to proceed with the technician visit.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
When you first contacted us on 5th March at 19:28, we responded the following morning at 9:17am asking for more details so we could understand the issue. Once you sent the video, it appeared that the tap had been installed incorrectly. To assist further, I also sent photos of the same tap installed correctly in our showroom to show how it should look once fitted.
For clarity, we did not hear back again until Friday 13th in the evening, and we responded again early the following morning offering further support. Unfortunately, before any further communication or assistance could take place, a 1-star review was left.
You mentioned that two plumbers had checked the tap and confirmed nothing was wrong with the connections. However, based on the video and the information provided, the issue still appears to be related to the installation rather than the tap itself.
Despite this, we offered to send one of our in-house technicians to inspect the tap and connections free of charge. If the tap were found to be faulty, we would of course be more than happy to replace it at no cost.
We always do our best to support our customers and resolve any issues quickly and fairly. Our offer for our technician to visit and help resolve the issue still stands, and we would be more than happy to assist.

Great customer service
I ordered a replacement cartridge for a water tap on a Saturday, paying £5 extra for next business day delivery. The delivery company didn't get the part to me until the following Wednesday, and Hommix immediately agreed to refund the delivery charge. As it turns out, the part also didn't fit my tap, which was just unfortunate and nobody's fault. I returned the part and Hommix refunded me within the week. Although this really didn't work out, Hommix were very communicative and helpful throughout and I would definitely use them again.
