Having sold my French Property I needed to find a company who would deal with the transfer and exchange of currency from Euros to GBP. Having researched many companies I narrowed my choice to 4, after contacting the 4 chosen, I came to one that stood head and shoulders above the rest and that company was Horizon. The two people who dealt with my request were, in my opinion exceptional, they were polite, informative and above all honest to the core. I would not hesitate to recommend Horizon, to anyone looking to use their First Class currency exchange/transfer service.

The exchange rates given are competetive, but the star of the show is Anne who deals with any question/query in a most efficient and frendly manner.

Great service from start to finish

This is the second time I have used Horizon and will use them again. Louisa, Anne and the team provide an excellent service - both the rate and making all the arrangements. Including this time, outside working hours where needed and keeping the original rate even when it had fallen.

After 4 years with another currency provider I decided to to contact Horizon for my next property purchase in Spain. The rate I was given was much better saving me hundreds. Louisa and Anne were brilliant, on hand to guide me - even contacting me out of normal office hours.
I can recommend to anyone without hesitation.

I have used currency exchange companies before and I found Horizon Currency very helpful, active and I like how they are available when needed. I had stopped using my previous currency exchange company because he would get back to me a day later. By that time you can lose a favourable exchange. I’ll be using them again in the coming future.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Horizon and the team. I was nervous about when to buy my currency but Gill put me at ease advising best time to buy listening to my desired objective.
Also such an easy process to register. I will definitely use again when I sell my house in the summer.

Still not in black & white from co. Bank a/c statement showing actual time etc.

11/4/24 still not happy with response as not had documentary evidence from Horizon actually showing the transaction and therefore time they actually received.

Money was not available same day as was implied and next day still waiting @ 10a.m. for my money even though received email 8.25a.m. was in my account there. Will not be using again
Once again just by looking at Horizon response you can see the incompetence they say they sent me email 8.35 rubbish sent to me 8.25 so proves they had my money already. Horizon can only prove when they got my money by cutting and pasting the transaction of receipt of my funds from their bank statement as my Spanish Bank released my money immediately to them on the morning of 3/4/24 and they would have received moments later. Obviously by keeping funds overnight it generates them more income. However it cost me dearly as promised commitments I had made could not be met.

Actually there should be a "5 star plus" category for Horizon Currency!!!! If only all companies could operate with their level of competency and customer service the world would certainly be a better place!
Louise is always there for me to contact if I need urgency..or advice..and that is usually "out of UK hours"
The web access is terrific ..easy to use and arrange payments. If there's an access problem then the support over the phone is second to none. They'll place the money order transaction for you and then fix the problem. Ginny was a great help yesterday.. again "out of hours" ... many thanks.

I’m giving the five star review mainly because of the great customer service I get from Louisa Ballard. She makes my dealings with Horizon a very easy and pleasant experience….in fact she is always there for me when I need to buy some currency and she represents the front line of the company with knowledge and professionalism.

I used Horizon when buying and needing to pay for a new car in Euros. I had looked at and spoken to other similar companies but found Horizon gave a better exchange rate and, equally importantly, a superior customer experience. From meeting Tanya in-country to working with the UK team, I was fully supported through every step of the process from account set-up, deciding the best date to buy currency to get the best rate, to sending funds overseas. I had a brilliant experience and have full confidence in recommending Horizon. I will now be using them regularly to send funds to my overseas accounts.

We used the team at horizon to transfer our house sale money from the UK to Australia. They were fantastic and kept you upto speed at all times.

I've been using Horizon for about 5 years to transfer money from the UK to NZ, and every time I've had a better rate than the banks and other FX companies, with more immediate responses to questions and advice - a big bonus as sometimes moving big sums can be stressful! Will be using Horizon for many years to come.
