Disappointing first experience

I recently discovered Howdens and was genuinely excited to explore their products, as I had heard good things about them. Unfortunately, my first experience was quite disappointing.

To my surprise, many of the items I was interested in were out of stock, and I was told I would need to wait another week for the next batch. This was particularly frustrating when trying to plan a project around specific materials.

I also found the pricing system quite frustrating. You cannot easily see the prices unless you have registered for a trade account. I tried to log in but was unable to do so, and when I asked the receptionist for assistance, I was simply advised to contact their credit control number.

Another thing that made me uncomfortable was being asked to provide bank account information during the registration process. I understand that Howdens operates trade accounts and has its own payment arrangements, but as a new customer, I would have preferred much clearer information explaining why these bank details are required, how they are used, and what safeguards are in place.

Overall, I was expecting a much smoother and more customer-friendly experience from such a well-known company. Perhaps my experience was specific to my local branch, but unfortunately it has left me disappointed before I have even had the opportunity to purchase anything.

My man Albert in the Bow store is Dee man, we needed his assistance with our client for property and kitchen refurbishment. Albert intervened and dealt with this like a real boss. My client is so excited how he dealt with thier kitchen. I needed his assistance to avoid kitchen disruptions and he delivered exactly as we needed. This is the guy if you want to get things done properly. Top man Albert

the sales man was profetional fast and helpful,dont know why a 500 mm wall cupboard door from chingford was dearer than a 600mm cupboard door from bow london ?

Everything is quick and prise is cheap

Shocking experience! Don’t waste your time. 0 customer service and accountability for anything going wrong their end.
2 deliveries they said… we had over 8 deliveries for our kitchen with missing/ wrong items.

I strongly recommend using another company if you want customer service and accountability.

Girls at the till are great

when I go to Howdens i know i will always be met with friendly helpful and most importantly knowledgeable staff.

Delivered as expected, friendly driver.
1 item missing was supplied within 2 hours or notifying Howdens & 1 item was in the wrong finish - but delivered within the day. Very impressed how quickly these issues were resolved.

Ordered kitchen units with bow branch on Friday morning was delivered that same day excellent service throughout

Yes, my experience is Howdens bow has been 2nd to none very helpful staff from management to the warehouse. People cannot Fault Service always friendly and nothing is too much of a problem

The staff are friendly and helpful. Always willing to see what they can do to help. A wonderful environment to walk into and use day to day to buy items.

I went to hawdens bow. I wanted some shelf for my new shop. I spoke to Daren and he was constantly confusing me and lying to me. He showed me one quality and size. sent me 6meter poor quality flat pack white cabinets. He told me some price 18 meter of the shelf with some discount. Then I said it was too much. Then he gave me quote for a 12meter and he said it is expensive because only flat pack available is cheaper. But they sent me completely different quality and size and also flat pack with missing part of the larder. So we couldn't fix the larder. I said I don't want this but they said I can only return the larder because it was packaged. And Manager mentioned larder was more than a £100 each. I return 6 larder but they refunded my account with £383. I saw businesses but I never saw such a dishonest people including the manager. They didn't even tell me how much they are refunding too. No explanation for buying cost and returned cost. I will anyway find out the reason for this behaviour. They are more expensive then any retailer. And they think can scam businesses with thier credit account. He also mentioned the company is doing this. So this is thier company policy to scam people. The invoice don't explain much. I don't know how much I was charge for 3meter shelf. The manager came she wasn't even helpful. She told me I should buy from IKEA. Beacuse ikea was cheaper for what they sent me. Also she refunded my account with £383. I don't think any good reputable company will not choose such dishonesty. Be careful if you have a trade account with them. They will put random price. And I'm sure they did it beacuse they I think I wouldn't understand and pay the amount.

This type of staffs are loyal to thier company but scamming customers and businesses. And they should be exposed. So they stop scamming people.

Went in for design consultation without an appointment and had a great service from Darren (design team), Brogan, Davies and their manager Laura. Although the products on display are very limited, the whole experience is enjoyable and very friendly.

Great product + competitive price = happy customer.

Engineered oak flooring goes down a treat.
