Came out fast to measure up and kitchen delivery in same week although I haven’t fitted it yet

very helpful, went out of their way to show us the products. The delivery was quick (phoned before they left the depot), the delivery driver was polite and stored the goods where we requested.

So very disappointed with the service received from Howdens.

The situation is that the plan our builder was supplied with by Howdens, did not provide enough space for us to put our standard 600mm sized freestanding washing machine and tumble dryer in on the side of our kitchen with the window. The team were aware of the appliances we had. In fact when I sent through which unit sizes I originally desired on the opposite side, but the Howdens representative persuaded me to downsize so that we would be able to move our fridge freezer in to space, as we only had a couple of mm wiggle room on either side, which we were advised would be a terrible idea and near/if not impossible to fit the appliance in to in reality. This demonstrates the oversight made in failing to provide a plan with sufficient space for our WM/TD.

We got our worktop fitted and our floor scraped, screeded and laid after we had our units fitted. We raised the issue as soon as it became apparent, but on multiple occasions we did not receive call backs which were promised. In the intervening time, we have had to pay our carpenter to return to remove and refit the end panels/fillers to allow sufficient space for our appliances. We have also had to pay for our floor fitter to return to level the new gaps in the flooring (following the movement of end panels) to patch up the flooring.

Given that this project has cost us upwards of £17,000, it is both upsetting and infuriating our final product shows signed of botched damage.

We were initially committed to sourcing our materials from DIY Kitchens but after a recommendation we were persuaded to use Howdens. We were sold on the concept that Howdens we would be dealing with professionals - experts in the field - and that they would "make things right" if anything that was to go wrong through no fault of our own. It is certain that the responsibility lies the errors on Howdens plan, however we have had no offers of any compensation whatsoever. I expected at the minimum that we would be offered the cost of the repair, but we have not received so much as an apology throughout the process. We've been given a variety of lines, including that our carpenter should have disregarded the plan that was provided and done his own thing (not sure why anybody would bother getting a plan from Howdens if that was true for all), to "a 600mm space is sufficient to fit in a 600mm sized appliance", totally contrary to my aforementioned conversation with the exact same team in relation to my fridge.

I have not mentioned the multitude of incorrect items which were delivered, costing myself and my builder time where we had make multiple branch visits to collect the right items - a story for another day.

From start to finish was a pleasure to meet you all at Great Yarmouth Sam was excellent did all the sketches' and gave us a great deal.
I know it's trade only but if you haven't used them before worth a look. What have you got to lose?

Great price and they even loaded them into my van.

We were asked could we take our kitchen 1 month early even though we had nowhere to store it we found room somehow. Sam made us such a good offer we could not refuse.always first class service from Max & all the staff as always. Many thanks to Alan for doing such a great job, helping us with our kitchen thanks to his great idea's we now have our dream kitchen to go in our dream Bungalow.🙂🙂

Placed an order for three firedoors, after two visits to the store getting more quotes for several more firedoors and also check on the ones being delivered to store all three fire doors were the wrong type.... This caused massive inconvenience and resulted in me having to purchase three more expensive doors which they had in stock to complete the job over school holidays..... Disappointed

UPDATE...... Contacted by manager today who was apologetic and sorted out a discount on my next order, thank you very much
